Aspen Construction did a sewer line that needed to go across the street to the city drain line two years ago. I have called and emailed them for two years now regarding a sink hole in the asphalt. They obviously didn't tamp down the dirt underneath properly. Have been trying to get them to fix it for two years now!!!!! I continually send emails to cover my A** in case the county comes after me legally when the sink hole causes erosion under the street. read more

I highly recommend Aspen Construction! We have a cabin in Lake Arrowhead with a dirt access road behind our cabin. Code Enforcement required that our guests park behind our cabin, but parking in the dirt wasn't pleasant. I called a bunch of local contractors, most of which didn't bother returning my phone calls. Pat, the owner of Aspen Construction, got a quote to me immediately and then was able to expedite getting the work done for us. In addition, I had a very last minute request to make our driveway longer, and Pat couldn't have been more accommodating and easy going! His price was great, his workers were super nice, he was right on time and did a beautiful job and was an absolute joy to work with. We've dreamed of having a flat usable outdoor patio since the day we purchased our Lake Arrowhead home. We agonized as we went back and forth between a deck and paver stone patio (one far more expensive than the other), but in the end, we wanted a maintenance free, ever-lasting and beautiful space, built of high quality materials at a reasonable price by a construction company that we could really, really trust to do it right!! That's exactly what we got with Pat, Stacy and the entire Aspen Construction Team. Stacy was so incredible and responsive as she prepared the drawings and took care of submitting all of our paperwork to AWAC. We were pleasantly surprised when It only took a few short days for Aspen to get AWAC approval for our project. Pat and Stacey helped us with a design that would serve the functional purpose of a retaining wall to prevent further erosion to the back side of our property, with the aesthetic qualities of an outdoor space that we will enjoy for years to come and importantly serves as a secure and safe for our five tiny Yorkies . Pat has incredible vision and made design recommendations I would never have thought of on my own. Together, they even helped us mix and match materials that would yield the beautiful results we wanted within our specified budget. They mapped out a three week, YES....I SAID THREE WEEK time-line for the project, and had our patio completed exactly on schedule and within budget (with NO SURPRISE EXPENSES). Pat put together a plan for erosion control for our Arrowhead Villas home several years ago. We wanted to encourage water runoff to meander down our hillside and around our home instead of crashing into it. Pat designed a berm/dry creek drainage channel that works beautifully and looks good. His costs were reasonable too. We will be using his services again. read more

I met the owner of Aspen Construction over 3 years ago when I asked for a quote on paving the parking area in front of our 1st cabin on Lake Drive in Lake Arrowhead. Stacey Pattison, the owner, was very professional and gave us a good quote. We had the job done a few weeks later and it was done very nicely and professionally - and 3 years later it still looks great! We really liked the way Aspen Construction laid the asphalt for our first cabin, so when we went to get a quote to do our other cabin on Cottage Grove in Lake Arrowhead, I called Stacey again. We again were very pleased with the job - from meeting with Stacey, to grading the parking area and to laying the asphalt. We highly recommend Aspen Construction to anyone we meet. This company is exactly the people I love to do business with. Pat and Stacey are so amazing. There aren't just knowledgeable and listen to what your goals are, they are two of the nicest people I've ever met. My project I needed done was a parking area. Due to the slope of my property I needed an expert in sloping and erosion prevention. Not only did Pat know how to accomplish this, he and his crew went above and beyond what I was expecting. After the grading had been done, there was an area where water would run off and down the slope to a patio area. Pat and his crew extended the berm of the driveway along the road away from my property solving any drainage issues. I'm so pleased with the job. These guys absolutely know mountain construction! I will be having Aspen put in landscaping on the slope of my new parking area as well as a stone stairway leading down the slope. Then there are many other projects that I will use this amazing company for! I honestly believe that there isn't a company out there that can come close to Aspen Construction! I called Aspen and Stacy answered the phone - gave me an appointment with Pat for 11 am on a Wednesday - two weeks ago. My husband and I waited all day for Pat to show up and he never did, No phone call or anything. Now I am not unreasonable and maybe something could have happened but to keep people waiting all day with no phone call is really in excusable. So the next day I called and made subsequent phone calls - left my phone number and to this day I still haven't received a call back. They don't answer their business phone - no matter what time of the day!!! My only assumption is that they don't need any business - big or small and if this is their way of doing business --- I can't imagine the kind of work that they do. Very disappointed. read more

We recently had our long driveway in Lake Arrowhead repaved by Aspen Construction. After researching several companies, Aspen was the only company that provided us a written quote with a fair price. Stacy in the office is very professional and responsive. Pat ran the project and he and his team did an excellent job. There was one minor item that we felt still needed attention and it was taken care of immediately. We had to replace our sewer line and had to cut through 2 driveway aprons last winter. Aspen Construction did a fantastic job repairing the asphalt in those damaged aprons, completing their work in a timely manner. They reconstructed those 2 aprons to perfection, and the approach to our driveway is better now than it was originally. read more

Wish our experience with Aspen was as good as these posted on Yelp. Our project took 2 months, after being promised it would take 1 week. Days would go by with no one showing up and no calls from Pat. But boy-o-boy Stacy is surely prompt and careful with collecting every nickel and dime! Additionally the property was left a mess, piles of dirt here and holes there. I could go on and on. Look for another review on Google expressing poor workmanship.
