The pulled pork was well made and good quality. The BBQ sauce was a lovely balance of sweet and spice. The beans had a little something going on. The cornbread was more soft than crumbly. We also has a burger. The patty was made by hand and the tomato, lettuce and onion on it were part of the price -- not an extra charge. The buns were really good quality; I don't know how long they will be able to offer those but YUM for now. The pulled pork sandwich was $7 and the cheese burger was $6.50. For $1 more we got two sides (we both chose the beans and cornbread). We absolutely got our money's worth for taste, volume and friendly small town service. They will also pack up the ingredients (buns, meats, sides) for you if you want to have a no-effort BBQ party at home or on the lake. Sweet! The BBQ Pit is under new ownership this year (2013). I don't know what it was like last year but as long as these people are the owners we will certainly keep coming back.
