Ok so check this out...I brought a Movado to them to have the crown repaired/replaced (only), they said they would have to ship it out for repairs and Movado is kind of slow. Ok no problem. They call me a week later and gave me a price of $75.00, cool. I called monthly for 3 months and they were still waiting on the part. Finally on the 4th month they call and say it's ready. I go pick it up and these "fine people" replaced a perfectly good leather band, but the crown was still broken. Then had the nerve to say we can send it back. Oh no the fuck you can't! I was livid, but remained calm and walked away. Incompetence of the highest order. I wouldn't trust them to tell me the time! read more

After dropping my Tag Heuer Link Diver on a stone floor at home I came to Its About Time to get a watch overhaul. It's ironic because it was overdue for one since I purchased this watch used in 2019. So it was about time. Lol Long story short. They did a fantastic job! I knew that not all the scratches were removable; but they got 99% of the scratches off And I'm very happy. The movement works great. I highly recommend this shop and the two gentlemen that helped me today. I have an old smart watch (Samsung) I bought 2 yrs ago that I have been meaning to take someplace to have the band put on. I had looked on Yelp and actually Fast Fix had better reviews, so I was driving past Perimeter and went in. I stopped at Fast Fix and they quoted me $40 to put this cheap band I already own on the watch. So I declined and went to It's About Time. The two gentlemen there were fabulous, and they quoted me $10 for the whole thing! Then, after a pleasant conversation, they actually said "no charge" and I could not have been happier, as I live on a fixed Social Security income. This place is very inconspicuous - I actually only noticed it was an open business because I was walking by when they were locking up one night - but I'm very glad I found them. Although small, they were able to change multiple watch batteries and replace two watchbands while I waited. The employee I met was very personable and the price seemed competitive. Brought back and told that needed servicing, for $150 and that part of the charge would be a new battery. Explained that clearly did not need a new one and was told that would not charge for it and that watch would be ready in 2-3 weeks. 6 weeks later I get call that watch is ready. For $150.00. I have probably had at least 5 watch batteries replaced here and I have 2 that need replacing soon. The service is fast and while it may seem expensive, especially if you consider that the battery itself is quite cheap, I recognize that I neither possess the necessary knowledge nor equipment to change my own batteries, so I happily pay, knowing most of the money goes towards labor, rather than parts. I don't remember the other place in Perimeter that changes batteries, but in the past, I have compared the prices and it is much more affordable to get minor watch maintenance done at It's About Time. Great company. They were very friendly and honest about the amount of time it was going to take and exactly how much it was going to cost to repair my grandfather's vintage watch. I was extremely pleased with the watch repair that I got done here. The pin fell out of of my favorite watch and I kept holding off on getting it fixed. The person in the front was very friendly, got my watch inspected in the back to make sure it was only missing a pin (and that the rest of the watch worked just fine) and then gave me a fair price. Was skeptical about dropping my Rolex off to get repaired and refurbished , wanted to find a lower cost option than sending to Rolex themselves . Read lots of reviews locally , found it's about time in perimeter mall, and decided to use them. 3 weeks after I picked it up I'm convinced they did a fabulous job. Wanted to make sure it keeps good time. It's 20 years old, was the first time serviced, and came back looking like new again. Polished the bezel , band, and has a new crystal . I came to this location to have one single link removed from my watch and they charged $14.95. I think that's ridiculous to charge almost $15 for a single link and at that it's a service that took him all of 2 minutes to complete. I've gone to this location before and they removed my links for free. I don't think this should be a free service but $14.95 isn't the right price either. I should've taken it back to the store I bought it from and had them do so it's my fault for paying the price. You live and you learn though. Can't cry over spilled milk but never again. Don't charge one price and then another time do it for free, there should be some consistency with the business. Save yourself some time and go elsewhere. read more

I took my Tag Aquaracer to It'sAboutTime at Perimeter mall and they did an excellent job replacing the quartz Ronda movement. After a brief phone call, it was clear that even their sales staff knows what they're talking about. So many watch stores are staffed with people who don't even know the difference between quartz (hi-tech electronic accuracy) and mechancal (antique snobbish junk). haha I kid. I kid. Anyway, after 4 years of wearing my aquaracer everywhere (beach, racetrack, gun rage), it had picked up some debris or something and the movement was shot. I tried to replace it myself which was the first and last time I do that. I ended up with two broken movements and a cracked stem. SOO I took it to It'sAboutTime. They were fantastic! Sourced the right part even down to the black date dial. They did the replacement, my watch is as good as new, AND they didn't make fun of me for the botched DIY attempt. THANK YOU It'sAboutTime! My husband needed some links taken out of his new Swiss Legend Watch and I needed to get a battery changed in my Movado. We had gone to a another large jewelry/watch store nearby to get these two tasks done but after them looking at his watch for 20 minutes they refused to even touch his watch and told me it would cost $70 and 2 weeks to get a new battery in a Movado. So we came here. They took the links out of his watch and changed my battery in 15 minutes for $30. Compared to the other store this was an amazing deal and they were very friendly about it. Looks like we had much better service than the other reviewers. I would come back again for a quick fix. read more

Whoops, I visited the location in Buckhead/Lenox. They cleaned and replaced my battery on a fine watch. It was not busy so they were able to get it done in under 15 minutes. I thought the price was fair, and the cleaning appears to be done well, as it's much cleaner than when I brought it in. The location is a little hard to find. Go to the down escalator near Aveda/Bloomingdales. When you go down one level walk towards the Game Stop and it's past that. read more

I am never buying a watch from them again. Just AVOID! I went in and asked if it was possible to order a watch they did not have in the store. They said sure and it would come within two weeks. Paid and left. They call me, telling me the watch is discontinued but would call the manufacturer and see if they had more in stock. Weeks go by and they have yet to call. So I call and they tell me the watch has already came in! HELLO? No phone call!? I am not psychic.. I get to the store the next day and it is the wrong watch! The guy says "I don't know anything about the watch", um go find out! I left because they were clearly incompetent. Got a phone call from a snappy sales associate saying, "They don't make the watch anymore, I thought they explained this to you". Um, you guys were supposed to check with the manufacturer and didn't call me back sooo clearly NOT, and I keep talking to 20 different people!!!! My girlfriend had accidentally caught her Michael Kors watch on a clothes rack in J Crew and it pulled out the dial knob from the body of the watch, so I went looking for the Michael Kors store in the same mall. The Michael Kors salesperson I talked to recommended I not send it into the corporate repair service, but go to this Its About Time location. I'm glad I took their advice! The gentleman who helped me explained he could have his watch repair person work on it, but after a few moments of examination he determined it was most likely a press fit component rather than fastened into the watch body. With my permission, he carefully guided the knob shaft into the watch body; gave it a little press; and presented it back to me for inspection. The watch was back to its former condition, no charge! He could have taken me for a repair charge and I wouldn't have been the wiser, but he showed himself to be one of those rare genuine, ethical business owners who are so hard to find these days. I have an ESQ watch which needs a new crystal and a Seiko watch which needs a band replacement; I'll bring both of them back to only this store! read more

Brought my watch in to get a link taken out and the crystal replaced. This was on a Saturday. The nice young man at the counter resized my watch and even tightened the other pin - I had previously taken it to the North Point location for a resizing several months ago and the employee there did a sloppy job. This employee was not particularly knowledgeable about the process or pricing to get the crystal replaced, so he told me I could leave my watch there and the manager would contact me on Monday morning to explain what needed to be done and give me the final price before getting my go-ahead. Come Monday, I hadn't received any phone call from the manager during the day. I called later in the afternoon to follow up and the woman on the line didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about. I had to explain to her my interaction with the other employee on Saturday, until finally she told me that they will go ahead and replace the crystal, but she wasn't sure what the cost would be. She gave me a rough estimate and told me it'd be ready by Thursday or next Monday at the latest. She also said I would receive a call once the watch is ready for pick-up. Thursday passed, then Monday and I received no call. I called on Tuesday and another employee answered. First he had trouble locating my watch. When he "found it" (What a relief! Didn't know it was missing in the first place!) he told me to "just stop by whenever to pick it up." No explanation for why I hadn't been notified in the first place. No sense of concern as to whether or not I would ever get the watch back. All in all, the final product was decent. The crystal turned out to be a little bulbous, which makes my watch look even bulkier than usual (and frankly cheapens it). None of the employees seem to have any clue about the service or pricing, and none of them seem to want to go through the trouble of following up. On the two occasions I've been to this store, it was dead - I was the only customer. So I doubt very much that they are too overwhelmed with other orders to bother following through like they say they would. Next time I'm taking my watch to a jeweler. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place for a watch battery change. I brought in my Rado which requires a magnetic key to set the time. I wouldn't think the mechanism for setting the time would play into the price of a battery change, but I was quoted $40!!! You have to be kidding me, $40 to change a battery! I ended up going to Bowers on Cheshire Bridge and got it done for $10. I wouldn't have minded paying more than $10, but $40 is crazy. read more

I bought a watch from them and in the first week it lost 13 minutes of time. It also did on the second week. I went to take it back to exchange for the same one and was denied. They said it had to go to the warranty repair center. In the meantime I tried to reach the owner and was given the runaround. The closest I could get was a lady at their Northpoint Mall location. She was of no help and wouldn't provide the owners name or contact info. It appears the only way to get the owners attention is posting a review. Terrible customer service. read more

I joined yelp just for this... to make sure people know to avoid this place! I took my watch in for a new battery on a Tissot watch. A very nice watch (high quality) and I only wear it for nice events. Not my daily watch. The back of the watch cover fell off a year later and the guy from this store was the only one to ever work on the watch. I couldn't even find the back cover after it fell off when I was wearing it, so left me in kind of a jam... not having the back of the watch. Like I said this is an expensive high quality watch... he offered to do nothing for me (even though I had the receipt) and said I probably dropped it. This watch has never been dropped, it was in fine condition before he replaced the battery and opened the watch. He wouldn't even give me an estimate on a repair unless I left the watch with him. I had all the info for him to give me an estimate easily. Seeing how this was his fault, you think the guy could at least work with me on that, but no. Every jeweler I have talked to said this would not have happened unless the back of the watch was not put on properly. Now I will have to send the watch to Tissot company for repairs due to his faulty work. Do not trust your watch to be worked on by this company. Also, the store clerk (whom I think is the owner) is totally unfriendly and had an attitude. I talked to a store nearby his and they said he yells profanities at customers, and have read this in other reviews on his store listed here on yelp. Guess I'm not the only one to experience such low caliber service. read more
