Such an amazing experience!! First off, it's. Little tricky finding the entrance. Kinda like a mini adventure if you will. We entered on the Lincoln St side. It's a green building. Walk down the stairs like you're going to the coffee shop next door. There is a sign on the floor that says "It's A Bodega". You will have to call the stores phone (listed above the key pad) and they will give you the passcode to get. Once in, walk down the hallway and go straight. There should be another door (it was closed when we went). Go through the door and you will hear the bumping music down the hall. The space is filled with so many different candies, sweet treats, chips, chocolates, sodas, sparkling waters, etc! The employees working there were so friendly and helpful! If we had a question about any of the items they knew all the answers! Of course we couldn't buy the whole store so we limited our selves to a few items (18 to be exact). They are a little pricey but you can't find these flavors anywhere else so I think it's worth it! I can't wait to go back! read more

This was a cute experience! Novel for what it is. It's a little hard to find . You actually have to go into the market place to access it. Luckily I found a yelp review with that info before I gave up on locating it. The prices are a bit high but for something you aren't going to do every day it's a fun treat. I've been wanting to visit this place for awhile now. The concept is unique and brilliant for a SERIAL SNACKER like me. A bit hard to find; I almost missed the entrance but my boyfriend spotted the sign outside. From there you have to call the store to get the building code to be let in, then go straight down the hall, past the frosted doors and you'll see it. It's a cute little space with nothing but imported snacks and oldies you may have forgotten. Shrimp flavored Lays, turkey drumstick flavored Cheetos, all the Kit Kats, Pokemon ramen, cereals you didn't know existed, beverages with labels you can't even read so you don't even really know what they are. Practically a whole wall devoted to crazy-flavored Pringles. Wtf even are "mild sweet oreos"? I didn't get them. I love that this dude decided to make a business of travelling, encountering exotic snacks, and importing them back for the rest of us to try. And I was happy to support. Yes, the prices are higher than your average snack, but that's to be expected given international import prices. Some folk's weaknesses are bags, shoes, designer labels, cars, whatever. I rarely get agoraphobia when indoors, but this nearly empty shop does just that. Add to that the shock value the price of their novelty imported diabetes treats and you get a sense of disappointment that holds true to what can only be the need to be painfully different. Yeah we get it. You have JDM candies. They're not that great and not even close to worth the 800% markup of other domestic vendors for the same 'rare' fare. It's **what**? Well yes, it is indeed located on Lincoln between 10th and 11th Avenues. But more importantly, it's a shout-out to the multicultural snack shops particularly prevalent in New York City and elsewhere on the East Coast. In short, It's A Bodega. Now, I don't want to confuse you (apologies!) - you won't find any chopped-cheese sandwiches, or economy-sized jugs of Fabuloso, or combination shoe polisher/hangnail fixer/gutter sweepers here. Instead, you'll be greeted with a wealth of carefully-curated beverages, snacks, and sweets from numerous nations. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let's actually enter the store. OK. so you're in front of Roostercat Coffee House. Look to your right a bit and you'll see a touchpad with a phone number to call to get the passcode (IAB shares its space with multiple other businesses and really, you can't be too careful nowadays). Once you have the code, then it's as simple as beep-beep-boop-BEEP, and you're in. Keep going (basically) straight until you see Suite 107. You're welcome! And WOW! You'll see that the very charming owner has put a great deal of thought into sourcing his rotating global goodies (and is very familiar with the backstories of each product he carries). So now, let's have a closer look. Personally, I've always been more of a savory snacker, so IAB's chip and cracker selection suits me fine whether I'm in the mood for tangy prawn cocktail-flavored Pringles from the United Kingdom, Polish Cheetos with scallion seasoning, or a Lay's variant based on the tangy/spicy Thai salad Miang Kham. But I guarantee - those of you with a sweet tooth will not be disappointed here either. I mean, how could you be, when there are Chinese black rice-flavored Snickers, mango cream Tim Tams (coated cookie sandwiches) from Australia, and, of course, Japanese chestnut-mousse Kit Kats to ooh-and-aah over? It's a Bodega is a little convenience store that sells exotic snacks from 16 different countries all over the world. All the kit-kats, oreos, chips, cadbury chocolate, candy, sodas and juices - hey they even have booty o's! - cereal made right here in the US of A. The snacks are a little pricey, but not too bad considering these are perfectly curated and I guarantee you will not find these anywhere else in the city. Customer service is always A+ and really just THE spot to visit if you're into trying ALL of the snacks. So I've been fortunate enough to hit up other countries outside of the United States and try their different spins on American snacks. Imagine my surprise when I found this shop that could send me things I bought in Japan without me having to go to Japan!! Owner is nice and shipped my products fast! So I walked in to get a soda and decided to buy some chips. They didn't have a price tag on them, I asked the person at the counter much they were they said six then changed to seven. Charged me 8 dollars without telling me that it was more expensive. I had to look at the receipt. I knew prices were high but the employees are deceptive and I didn't think that was cool. My wife and I went for the experience and the unique flavors. Everything we bought tasted great and didn't disappoint!

I have ordered from this company a few times everything's been great my last order however arrived with my candy bars broken and nine items out of my 11 were expired . And usually they put an expiration date in the description but there were no expiration dates in any description of the items that I chose. I've reached out three times I've gotten no response every thing from the shop is expensive so when you open a candy bar and it's white and chalky from being that expired its very disappointing! not one not two not three but several items were expired and you get no response from the company at all so SAVE your money shop somewhere else ! if you make a mistake it's all about the recovery and clearly this shop is about stealing money from you I hope you sleep well at night I would never recommend this place you also set up shop at a lot of places that I go to socially and I will let them know don't purchase anything you're a goddamn rip off and it's sad you can't even reach out to your customers when you sell them $10 expired broken candy bars you should be extremely ashamed of yourself for real in this day and age check yourself get it right or get the fuck out of business!!!!!!!
