The store was really nice. Too bad the service there wasn't the best. The elderly man was SO rude…read more Didn't say hi. Didn't say anything as I complemented the store, didn't say anything while I made my purchase. I went back the next day to exchange a shirt and I asked the lady for an extra bag and told her I'd pay for it if it wasn't free and she made a big deal about it. Then she threw the bag at me after I purchased the other shirt. I will never spend my hard earned money there EVER again.

Make sure you understand the return policy thoroughly before making a purchase. I bought a Sherpa…read morepullover for my daughter here on Small Business Saturday, intending to give it as a Christmas gift. As a first time shopper, I asked about the return policy and was told it could be returned for in-store credit. The sleeves proved too short, so I tried to return the purchase today. Initially the cashier said there was a 10 day return policy on clothing and refused the return. I explained the information I had been given, but since it was seasonal, she would only make an exception to exchange it for the same clothing item. She referred me to the back of the price tag, which does explain the policy; but what I was verbally told was different. Well, a larger size doesn't have longer sleeves, but since I had no alternative, I made an exchange. I said that as a first time shopper, it didn't give me a good impression of the store. Nothing more was said. (BTW, the item is now on sale for 20% off vs my 10% discount. Bottom line, I thought this might become a store I would shop frequently, but now I will not return. I try to shop local, but with policies like this, it's no wonder larger stores are winning the retail race.

I brought in a one-of-one original artwork on paper, purchased for nearly $2,000, to discuss custom…read moreframing. This was a unique piece, not a print or anything replaceable. While I was there, the artwork was handled in a way that felt rushed and careless -- materials were placed directly onto the surface, and frame corners were pressed up against it without protection. Shortly after, I noticed that one corner of the artwork was creased. The piece is thin paper/card stock, and a crease like this is permanent. I had not authorized any framing work and had not paid anything. I immediately removed the artwork to prevent further handling. When I followed up with the owner the next day, I was told that the damage must have already been present when I brought the piece in. I do not agree with that statement. I have clear photos showing the condition of the artwork before the visit and after, and the crease was not present beforehand. Instead of discussing how the damage occurred or how to resolve it, the conversation repeatedly shifted to how long the shop has been in business and how many awards it has received. That did not address the condition of my artwork or the concern I raised. The interaction felt dismissive and confrontational rather than professional. I'm sharing this experience so others bringing in high-value, original artwork can make an informed decision. I chose not to move forward with this shop.
