Quality ingredients for sure! We ordered a meat pizza and added garlic. We split the huge Caesar salad and had plenty to take home for dinner! I loved the thin crust and rolled my 'za up to eat like a pizza roll! They have their own spicy olive oil and truffle oil! I loved it! It's light enough but I still got full too fast. We took the leftovers home and shared with some friends! They even gave us a Nutella dessert pizza for free! Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food! Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!

Culinary Mastery in Flower Mound: A Transcendental Pizza Experience…read more It is a rare occurrence to encounter a dining establishment that treats the humble canvas of dough, sauce, and cheese with the reverence of a fine art gallery. Yet, tucked away in a pristine, modern shopping enclave in Flower Mound, **Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza** is doing exactly that. As a connoisseur who has traversed the country in pursuit of the perfect pie, I can say with unequivocal authority: this is not merely a meal; it is a masterclass in culinary composition. The Atmosphere of Excellence From the moment you cross the threshold, the experience is curated with precision. The environment feels fresh, intentional, and inviting. However, the true heartbeat of the restaurant is the service. In an era where genuine hospitality is increasingly elusive, our server, Claudia, operated at a level of executive-tier care. Her ability to balance professional attentiveness with a warm, family-oriented touch, even proactively engaging our four-year-old with a dough ball, was a masterstroke of guest relations. The floor management followed suit, providing not just oversight, but narrative depth, sharing the remarkable history of the founder's O1 Visa, a rare, prestigious designation reserved for individuals of "extraordinary ability." It is fitting, then, that the kitchen produces work of such caliber. The Gastronomic Journey The prologue to our meal, a Caprese salad paired with house-grade bread, oil, and balsamic, set a high bar for quality. The tomatoes and mozzarella were remarkably vibrant, possessing that elusive, sun-ripened depth that screams farm-to-table integrity. Then, the protagonists arrived: The Elisa: A triumph of balance. The interplay of ricotta and mozzarella provides a lush, creamy foundation, while the white truffle oil elevates the profile without overwhelming the palate. The addition of honey and black pepper creates a complex, symphonic finish that keeps the taste buds yearning for the next bite. It is, quite simply, an exercise in culinary restraint and harmony. The Star Beckham: A visual and structural feat, the star-shaped crust, filled to the brim with ricotta and bacon, is an architectural marvel. Removing the red onions allowed the savory depth of the bacon and the brightness of the basil and ranch to coalesce into a flavor profile that feels both innovative and deeply satisfying. The Traditional Pepperoni: Even the most basic offering was executed with technical perfection. When a four-year-old, the most honest of all food critics, declares it the best pizza they have ever consumed, you know the foundation of the dough and sauce is impeccable. We were further impressed by the beverage program, specifically the Mastri Birrai Umbri Blonde Ale. Its crisp, clean finish was the perfect accompaniment to the richness of the cheeses, proving that the beverage curation is just as thoughtful as the menu design. The Final Verdict We left Flower Mound with empty boxes and full hearts, the memory of the meal serving as the primary topic of conversation for the entire duration of our road trip back to El Paso. A "great" pizza can be found in many corners of Texas, but an *extraordinary* pizza is a distinct privilege. Mister O1 does not simply feed you; they transport you. My only professional grievance is the significant distance between El Paso and Flower Mound. If you find yourself anywhere near the North Texas area, treat this as a mandatory pilgrimage. It is, without reservation, a must-visit destination for anyone who treats pizza as a serious culinary art form.

After ten minutes it still wasn't ready (we had to wait an additional 10~20 minutes after that). Then they gave us this uncooked Stromboli and a slice of cheese pizza that had been sitting out for an hour. Charging us money for this feels criminally wrong. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache of being lied to from this business and its employees. TLDR -lied about how long it would take to make -lied about giving a second wait time that went untrue -gave a calzone instead of a Stromboli -calzone was raw and undercooked and inedible -pizza was very old and sitting out -they took money from us for all of this and feel no remorse

This was the next closest non chain pizza place we could find so we decided to give it a try and we were SO glad we did. We sat at the bar. The bartender (I think his name was Brad) was friendly and personable and made some fabulous menu suggestions. We started with the potato chip chicken strips. They were fantastic. The seasoning in the batter was spot on, and they were piping hot and perfectly crispy. I ordered the Maurice salad, something I had never heard of. It was a very busy salad, lots of different flavors going on, but I am here to tell you it was one of the best salads I have ever had in my life. I am already trying to figure out when I can go back and order it again. Hubs got pizza, half Texas sweet heat and half mobster. Definitely one of the best pizzas we've ever had, you could tell they use top notch ingredients. It's rare we have such a great experience entirely "by accident". We can't wait to go back! Maybe next time I'll remember to get pictures :)

They had some Ethiopian sauce that wasn't really our kindve taste but it was a different option which we appreciate. We had no idea it would take an hour and a half for our food to show up. And when it did well, here's how it went. My wife had the chicken piccata and I had the wise guy pizza. My wife enjoyed her plate. Based on the last time I ordered the same pizza a year ago what showed up on the table was a sad echo of something that used to be good. The sauce was very thin and to the point of almost being nonexistent. The meatballs were very stingy as if they were trying to increase their margins by short serving a basic pizza. Overall, it was very dry and lacking of any discernible taste. No doubt because it sat in the kitchen for quite awhile, given the unusual duration that it took for our food to show up. I've had better frozen pizzas from the grocery store. It was a very dry and disappointing for something that used to be overloaded with flavor, sauce and meatball chunks. It was a marked contrast from when we had been here a year ago. What used to be a regular go to has turned into a sad disappointment. I'm putting it down to perhaps they had an off night. But we're not in a hurry to come back anytime soon to see if that was the case.

The DONATOS WAY IS THE RIGHT WAY FOR THIN CRUST! It's not your typical thin cardboard crust. They do offer other crusts including a cauliflower crust. They've been using their dough recipe for over 60 years! They use family recipes for pepperoni, sausage, & meatballs. They also use Wisconsin-Aged Smoked Provolone. I loved my CHICKEN SPINACH MOZZARELLA individual pizza. Olive oil was nice in place of red sauce. This pizza had mozzarella plus their Wisconsin provolone which does not taste heavy on the smoked flavor so don't let that deter you. I enjoyed the touch of garlic flavor - so fresh. Toppings were plentiful, chicken was good too. Love supporting a Family owned company and from Columbus Ohio. I have some relatives there.
