I love supporting local mom and pop shops and I'm so happy I found Amores Kitchen. We met Candi (owner), her son Raymond James and her mother. Great garlic flavor with butter and herbs, served with a side of their marinara. Their sauce is on the sweeter side which we love. When we make sauce from scratch, we definitely add sugar to balance the acidity so it right up our alley. Candi is the baker there and she makes everything from scratch. They only had chocolate chip cookies available that afternoon. You can taste the homemade love Candi put into it. There's no sit down area. It's a takeout place but there seemed to be many regulars picking up and Candi knew their names. I witnessed it while waiting for our order. It truly is a mom and pop shop and a hidden gem to out of towners looking for places to eat. When I return to the area, this will be my go-to. I've already sent friends over.
