Driving past this place you would never think it was an amazing BYOB Italian restaurant, but that's exactly what it is. They always start by serving you warm breadsticks that are so good and they will keep refilling them so you can dip. They are truly addicting! We had the mussels in white sauce, sauce was awesome especially with the breadsticks. Each entree came with a standard side salad. The penne siciliano comes with an auora sauce and scallops, shrimp, and crab meat, it is the best! Perfectly cooked pasta and with tons of seafood. The lobster ravioli was delicious and good size. A meatball came with the ravioli which was interesting but good. The waitress was awesome and very nice. Prices and portions are good here and it's BYOB which you can't beat. Yelp did not disappoint!! I wanted to find a new pizza shop on my way home from Philly. Italiano's had great reviews and I was able to order right in the Yelp app. When I arrived I realized my wife and I had already been here! We had an amazing Italian sit down dinner three years ago and it was delicious. I was super excited to get home and try the pizza. We got a meat lovers 14" and it was wonderful!! The sauce was sweet and fresh, the meats were savory and flavorful but not salty like most meat lovers pizzas. Italiano's is only 11 minutes away so we will definitely be trying out some of their other pizzas and pasta dishes after this amazing meat lovers!! read more

This is far from the restaurant I remember when Mario owned it. The food was horrible. I simply ordered mussels marinara over linguini. What I received was muscles in a catch-up sauce over spaghetti. Update: been there 4 times now and it's always great food and great service. I love the old Italian music playing and that it's byob. It's pretty inexpensive as well. We spent the day running my dad around Wayne and West Chester and were caught in traffic while heading back to N.J. We decided to wait out the traffic and get some good food for dinner. Thanks Yelp. My dad ordered the salmon, I got the flounder, and my wife got the lasagna. I think we were in heaven for awhile. There was conversation while we munched on delicious garlic bread and then dinner arrived. No more conversation. It's not polite to talk with your mouth full. And we kept filling them up. Ordered takeout for my sister and me during the Covid-19, paying with my credit card before I got there. The wonderful staff packed up everything in two separate bags for easy--and very safe delivery since I had to drop my sister's food on her front step. We each had the Pescatore with linguini. And since we wanted to make sure we had plenty for our individual fridges, we split an order of Penne Siciliana. WOW! I mean, WOW. First, the portions were enormous. And not only was it plentiful but it was delicious. SO SO good. Since in total we ordered three entrees, we also received three salads (we both went with Caesar salad dressing) and their amazing bread sticks. Think of them as straight garlic knots. Each of us have five hearty meals worth of food to enjoy. The place graciously split everything into two equal portions making it so simple to deliver and maintain social distance. Everything was hot and waiting for my pickup. In a few weeks I will definitely order from there again, sporting my mask and gloves as I did the first time. If you are safe about it, I highly recommend. Sorry there are no pictures. I made sure to wipe everything down and transfer to my own containers before tossing their packaging and bag in the trash. Great surprise in a not so great neighborhood. I went there on a Friday night with some friends who I hadn't seen in a while. We were seated right away and started with the bruschetta & peppers & mozzarella appetizers. Both were very good. For my main course I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and plentiful. There was enough for 2 people's lunches the next day. The salad was served with way too much dressing & the pasta was ok but not great. I prefer my pasta mixed with the sauce as opposed to sauce on the pasta as it was served. We ordered both the cheesecake & tiramisu for dessert. No cannoli that night They were both amazing!! I weight 195 I'm 6'2" and I couldn't even finish their spaghetti and meatball. rarely don't finish my plate and leave a review but I feel great after eating there. We ordered take out from Italiano's tonight for our first time trying their food, and it was absolutely delicious! I had Chicken Chesapeake, hubby had chicken parmesan, and our kids had meatball sub and chicken parmesan subs. The portions are huge. The food was hot, fresh and everything on point. Pleasantly surprising menu selection and quality; pizza, hot and cold sandwiches, pasta, and, chicken or seafood specialties. It is a very old corner store type of building, nothing elaborate. This is a family owned business, with the matriarch as the hostess, and, seemed to have family as the servers. As we waited for our table, the take out window seemed to do an outstanding business. Orders were actually going out in large boxes. Even though the window was busy, they offered to put our wine on ice for us, (byob). There were four of us for dinner, and we were all totally satisfied with our delicious dishes, which were four different orders. We love exploring established neighborhood eateries. This place is a gem. At 3pm, we were the only diners and were welcomed by multiple staffers. Server could not have been nicer, better-informed, or more accommodating. Because of the time of day, we were offered both the lunch or dinner menus. We shared fried ravioli appetizer and selected dinner entrees. Pescatore in white sauce, Shrimp Parmesan in vodka/blush sauce with crab and a different shellfish in vodka/blush sauce were very fresh, and very large. We could not have asked for more. Everything is fresh. Steve and I started with a couple bowls of pasta fagioli soup which came with a basket of fresh baked park cheese dusted knots or bread. Perfect match. Waitress was fast and always refilling drinks and bringing out more breadsticks which was a basket full of maybe twelve of them. They were covered in grated parmesan and buttery. So delicious. I have now eaten here at least four times. It has been a mixed bag. We really enjoyed the first few times and it is a BYOB so you can save there. For where it is and what you get it seems to be getting a bit pricey (because it is getting popular?). It is obvious that they have a loyal local following. We like it because it is low key and I love italian food but it is at least a 20+ minute drive for us. It can be hit or miss with the meals. The last time there I was somewhat disappointed. This time we showed up for dinner with our wine and the place was pretty full but there were two 4 person tables open but we were told they wouldn't seat us and we had to wait for a smaller table to open up (they were going to save the other tables for larger groups that MIGHT come in) ing). I asked if he was kidding. I'm sorry, but if you have a paying customer walk into your establishment and there is an open table, you seat paying customers. As it turned out we had to wait 10 minutes or so but I won't go back for that reason alone. No one else, let alone a large group, came in after us. So they didn't make any extra money off the tables we couldn't sit at and lost two good customers in the process. If it had been up to me, I would have walked out -- unacceptable!!! The dinner we had was tasty but not good enough for me to pay $15 (pasta)-$17-$25 (specials) for OK Italian. The salads were subpar and on the verge of being frozen, not freshly put together. Just too many BYOBs and other great places to try. On a good note, our waitress was funny and fabulous. Disappointed with the experience. read more

This is an enormously popular local restaurant. Not fancy but Be prepared to wait. The service is nicely done and efficient. Salads have homemade dressings. Pasta is very good, especially the so-rich aurora sauce. The only negative about it was that it drowned out the flavor of the seafood, a bit, as it is heavy. Also, the seafood was a bit scant. The wine garlic sauce wasn't quite as special. We took home leftovers of both pasta dishes. Would go back. read more
