One of the owners/partners asked can I help you, I told him my name and order and grabbed the order and literally threw it on the counter without a thank you or any acknowledgment. Just stopped here for a slice and was really impressed! I just moved to the area and have tried three or four other places and thought I was going to have to drive back into Philadelphia for good pizza but I have found my spot! Crust and sauce were really good and there was a fair amount of cheese. I love when my slice has a little flop when I pick it up and this piece passed the test. They will look at you like you are such a pain in the ass and speak to you with such disdain. Sciarrinos has been my go to spot for pizza but now I also love their subs. First is because I can get a Junior size, Second it's good and the price is right. I no longer live in Claymont but will stop by for a good sub from time to time. I had an order incorrect one time and I explained that I clearly asked for provolone cheese because I do not American cheese, when I got home, Wilmington, I saw the American cheese and I was not happy because I know I said it directly to the person, with eye contact and a nod of the head. I emailed them and with no hesitation they responding apologizing and said I can come back for my sub. I couldn't come back that day because like I said earlier, I'm no longer in the area, with that being said, I was told that the compensation will not expire because they will always be there. Menu states $9.95 for foot long cheesesteaks, was charged $23.90 for two. First I thought the guy was just too stupid to do basic math, turns out the JO knew exactly what he was doing. I asked how much are the foot longs and he said $11.95, I pointed out the menu says $9.95. Without missing a beat he quips "Well, the world's a mess, whose fault is that? Mine?" I said, you're giving your customers a menu that says $9.95 and you're charging $11.95. He says "that's not my fault! You think that's my fault?". Well, if it ain't your fault pal, whose fault is it? Mine? Trump's? you paid to have those menus printed, you provide them to your customers, if it ain't your fault whose fault is it? Needless to say, won't being going back to this dirty shop, in a sketchy locale serving mediocre food. Too many other good places in the neighborhood. The Cheesesteak was great, even dipped in ketchup. This Arizona boy never heard of that, but it was not bad at all! Staff was super friendly and helpful! It is interesting how different cheesesteaks can be. I got the special cheesesteak. It came with fried onions, mushrooms, peppers, pepperoni, pizza sauce and sharp provolone cheese. The roll was toasted. Toasted very well. I think the beautiful thing about this Cheeesteak is that it had a lot of stuff in it and nothing got lost. Sharp provolone can take over a Cheeesteak and on this cheesesteak it did not. This is the cheesesteak you get when you want to taste all of the other stuff including a well toasted roll. This Cheeesteak is special because all of the tastes work very well together. If the extras on this Cheeesteak are indicators of how well the pizzas taste, we are looking at good tasting pizzas. read more
