This was my third time at The Italian Kitchen and they continue to deliver! I ordered the special (pastrami with all the fixings) for my mom and an Italian sub for my son. Before I could even take a picture, both subs were gone! When I asked how it was, they both said the bread was super fresh and the meats were delicious, so that's a win in my book. I called in my order and it was ready as soon as I got there, which made pickup quick and easy. Great food, friendly service, and fresh ingredients highly recommend! Disappointing. Or maybe my expectations were too high?? But with a name like "Italian Kitchen" I expected better-than-your-average italian food, but that's not quite what we got... My husband and I ordered 3 different subs to try: meatball, italian and chicken parm. We both agreed the meatball sub was the best one out of the 3, but overall it wasn't anything special that I would come back for. The meatballs were good and the sub had plenty of sauce. The italian sub was dry as a bone (no condiments, not toasted) and the chicken parm was also dry and needed more sauce. Overall, I think you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere... read more

I purchased 8 lbs of Swedish meatball mix ( as I do every year for Christmas Eve) on Friday, December 19th. I thawed them this morning to cook the meatballs. The mix was unusually very wet. The meatballs wouldn't roll easily and kept breaking apart. I cooked them off and they have completely fallen apart and they have a different flavor. I called the store to inquir/inform them of my experience and could not get a mansger to even talk to me. At 11.99/ pound I think this is horrible customer service. read more

I've been eating here for 60 years and it used to be thee best! The Cape Cod Cafe owners bought the IK. Now it the food has less quality and higher prices. We got 3 subs, 2 veal and 1 eggplant with a side of 3 meatballs $54!! (Fifty-four). My son and I got the veal subs, they were tough and dry. Certainly not worth the money they get. Tonight, we placed a pick-up order. We were told 20 mins. Awesome. Got there in about 15, not ready yet. Our order was 1 salad with grilled chicken (Italian dressing), 1 pu pu platter, w/ angel hair, 1 lasagna, and 1 ckn parm. 5 min wait perfect! Only 2 miles to home! Home - 3 of the meals were wrong - except the lasagna - chicken in both dishes appox a 3 in long x 1 in wide chicken tender, maybe (wish I took a picture) And you could not cut thru either one with a sharp knife. They were just petrified! No pasta with the chicken, no raviolis in the pu pu, meatball was the size of a marble, sausage was awful (tasted like it went bad honestly), wrong salad dressing sent, only 2 rolls and worst of all EVERYTHING WAS STONE COLD!!!! Most of the meal was unable to be eaten. $50 bucks thrown away! Bring back the original owners! You have been going down hill fast since the sale, but tonight was the last time we'll eat there again! stopped in to pick up a chicken parm dinner. chicken was very dry and sauce was dry , along with the cheese. The very worst left over I have ever had. this is not the first time I have received an order this bad. it will be the last time. there are many restaurant's, that serve fresh take out. this order was reheated too. long. since the chicken was way over cooked and the sauce was so dry, only can compare it to tomato paste. Since the cape cod cafe took over, they seem to specialize in frozen, not fresh. the cods pizza. is more like frozen and reheated very dry no flavor. Take this review from the perspective of this 100% Italian mama. Amazing sauce, thinly sliced eggplant. The only restaurant I will get red sauce at because my own homemade recipe passed down 5 generations is so good that I won't waste my money on generic garbage at restaurants. Italian Kitchen's is actually unique and absolutely delicious. Whenever I'm passing through Brockton, which is only a few times a year, I always get takeout. Favorite Italian restaurant in Brockton. This has been one of my family's favorites take out restaurants for 15+ years, and still is! When I come to visit Brockton, my mom still surprises me with their chicken parm with ziti dish that literally lasts me two meals! Went to the Italian kitchen tonight. It was like a s*** show in there. We ordered our food to go. After 20 to 25 minutes I saw it sitting on the counter. I asked the girl if she could put it in the bag so I could take it. She said no it wasn't mine she was wicked rude. Waited another 10 minutes went back up again and asked about my food. She said that's yours I'm going to put it in the bag. I said yeah well you told me it wasn't mine and let it sit there and get cold. They need to find some good help in there. When I got home there was no sauce on my spaghetti only on the chicken. The bottom of the container was filled with water like spaghetti was never drained it was gross! We always love their food. It's just your typical Main St restaurant when you walk in the door. BUT when you receive your food, it's a slice of Italian Heaven! I was in town on business and was craving a good ravioli. Italian Kitchen was close to where I was and the staff in the office highly recommended for Italian. Don't let the greasy spoon dinner display fool you! When you have your plate in front of you and the first bite hits your tongue... OH MY GOODNESS! The meat ravioli and house made Italian sausage are so good, each bite should be SAVORED! However, the sausage is so good, you can't help but to literally inhale your entire plate as quickly as possible! Served with a large roll & butter and choice of drink, my late lunch was no more than a meal from Chick-fil-A! So worth the drive & traffic to get to!
