Soni's, I discovered on my first visit there with the Wife for lunch, is pretty much always busy…read morefor a very good reason. The food is made, just, exactly, right. I got veal piccata over angel hair. It was great. (no bread brought to table, which wasn't the kitchen's fault) The caper sauce was very good. I like veal piccata every now and then when I go out for Italian. It's really more of a fusion dish from the 1300's, when Italy (which didn't exist yet) was on all trade routes. Veal piccata pre-dates the intro of tomatoes to Europe by a few hundred years, it's really a culinary window back in time, Italian food-wise. Anyways, loved the veal piccata. Linda got a burger with fries. In the future, I'm thinking I'm getting anything at Soni's that comes with French fries. Soni's fries were so much better than any fries I have ever gotten, anywhere, that other than just saying, "the fries were the crunchiest, crispiest, internal texture bestest, that I have eaten in my life French fries!", anything more is futile. I CANNOT tell you how great these fries were. IANK! (I am not kidding) Overall, I will be back at Soni's sooner rather than later. I want to try the artichoke dip for one thing. And the interior of Soni's is beautiful. They don't rush you. The waitress really was great, just overall, a place to "...sit back and enjoy a long, slow, Italian lunch." As my friend Vince Dinsio used to say. I know Mr. V would have loved Soni's too. Linda, the wife loves Soni's. I can't imagine NOT loving Soni's.

Friendly servers and hosts; very efficient for having so many tables. Service was quick. Ordered a "deluxe" small pizza (10") on which you choose 4 toppings - only $10!! I got banana peppers, pepperoni, mushrooms and eggplant. Very good and the perfect size for one serving. Others in my party ordered the sausage calzone and the ravioli and meatballs. Great bread for the table that came with amazing garlic butter. Our dinner entrees were under $13, which is not what I'm used to living in Pittsburgh. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

About 5 minutes later the waiter came out of the back room and went to the table of 4 next to us and told them they weren't taking no more tables. Then he came and told us the same thing. He said they had 30 people coming in in a little bit and couldn't wait on anybody else. And this was at 6pm. It appears that the restaurant has only one, stressed out male server that takes care of the whole restaurant. I guess I'll never know how good their food is.

One of the most amazing dinners I've had the pleasure of having in Youngstown (which is hard to…read moresay!). The drinks were phenomenal, the appetizers were amazing (especially the star of the show, the sweet ricotta board). The salad was incredible and tasted so fresh. And the pasta was to die for. I had the carbonara, which was so creamy and delicious, with an incredible flavor profile. The spicy rigatoni alla vodka was one of the most amazing sauces I'd ever taste. The slightest spice from the calabrian chilis really made the dish. I loved how perfectly coursed each plate was, I never felt overwhelmed with the amount of food in front of me. Our server was absolutely fantastic, I can't remember his name but he was taller with dark hair and glasses. The hostesses were also so friendly, and they were able to sit us an hour before our reserved time so we didn't have to wait at the bar! This place had the BEST people watching! It wasn't too loud, or too bright, and all of the old photos on the walls were so cool to look at (as well as the vespa above the kitchen)! I would highly, highly recommend this place. One of the best experiences I've had in Youngstown.
