We went to Italian Affair for lunch on a weekend. It wasn't too busy, service was prompt and very friendly. There is seating inside, but not traditional waitress service. You order and pay at the counter, then they will bring the food out as it's done. We ordered: 12" cheese pizza, 6 garlic knots, fried calamari, shrimp basket (not popcorn shrimp, large/full sized shrimp and comes with fries), side order of fries, and 3 cans of soda. Our bill was ~$67 before tip. The food was great. The fried calamari had bits of fried wonton in it, which I was sure of at first, but was actually good. The garlic knots were delicious, definitely homemade and freshly made. The pizza was good, one of the better pies in the county. The fried shrimp was the only thing we probably won't get again, but that's only because we aren't big on seafood. It was good. Also, the marinara sauce is delicious. We stumbled upon this place while doing some grocery shopping at Acme. So glad that we did! The restaurant itself is pretty small and seems to do mainly takeout orders. They do have tables available where you can eat in. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our time there. They have coolers that contain bottles and cans that you can choose from for your beverage. We ordered a large New York style pepperoni pizza half with peppers on it. It was absolutely delicious! It was cooked just right. The best pizza that I've had in a while. It also reheated well, which is always a plus. I recommend giving this place a try! read more

My grandmother wanted to try them out so we stopped in. It's definitely a small dining area, probably 5 tables max so they probably do a lot of take out. They had a pasta special for 2/$20 in the window. Penne A La Vodka was one of the items offered which is one of my fave dishes when I can find somewhere that offers it. Unfortunately they didn't have it on the regular menu and the employee running the register couldn't find a way to ring it up so that was kind of disappointing. I ordered a chicken Cheesesteak and my grandmother ordered a regular one. Another thing to note is that prices have increased slightly from the paper menus they have on the counter due to rising grocery cost. Not a deal breaker but our 2 Cheesesteaks and 2 cans of coke were $27 I think. The food came out nice and hot so that was a plus. I don't feel like they used much cheese in my Cheesesteak and it didn't seem to have much flavor so I ended up asking for ketchup to doctor it a bit. Also it just felt like it was missing something on the side; maybe a pickle spear, some chips, or fries? As I previously mentioned, the dining area is rather small and can get loud rather easily. The employees were talking in the back and you could hear every word. The lady that rang us up and brought the food out was nice enough but I don't think this is a return spot for me. I went there for lunch on 9/10/2025 at 1:03 pm. I ordered my 2 slices to go and paid for them. I saw the counter/cashier pick up my 2 slices and put them in the oven to be warmed up. This was the first time that I saw her touch the pizza with out using tongs or anything to protect the food from her dirty hands. I let it slip by without saying anything. while she waited for the pizza to get warm, she started playing with her phone. I waited to see how she was going to handle the pizza when it came out of the oven, she slide the pizza into the box and then touched the pizza again to adjust it in the box in order to close the lid. I told her that I didn't want the pizza and give me my money back and she did. I had explained to her my issue and what I saw happen 2 different times with her dirty hands and told her that I won't be coming back and she said okay and I left. She said that she normally uses tongs but this time she didn't. There is no way that I believe that this was the first time. Our service was friendly and speedy for our lunch specials. The Plain NY style slices were delicious and crust thin like we love it. Ordered takeout specifically 2 personal 12 inch pies. One being a gluten friendly pie and the other being a cheese pie. Once delivered we had realized there was no box marked as gluten free and my daughter is celiac. Unfortunately she was unable to consume said pie because the boxes were not properly marked. Ambiance- Dining area has definitely gotten a lot smaller over the years and the back are isn't quite as hidden as they'd probably like. I miss it being all open. Food- Consistently really good. Very busy place with take out orders- we ate in last night. Dining area is small as the back is closed off. Calamari was good, interesting combination with pepperoncini and wontons . Eggplant was not fried crispy- it was soggy as though the oil was not up to temperature. The special of twisted tortellini was good, a little overcooked, the meatballs were tasty . Overall , we would not return for dinner but if we did we would stick to pizza. Most of the staff was pleasant but the server we had was probably the nastiest young girl we have ever had serve us, and we dine out quite a bit. If their goal was to hire a nasty server, I would say they would get 5 stars in that category - but I would give them 3 stars for our meals read more

I don't recommend this place at all. The supposed penne ala vodka is NOT vodka sauce at all. Several people in our group had it and no one could eat it. It was like chef boyardee. The calzones are very watery. I called to discuss the matter and was told the penne had the vodka cream sauce which it didn't 100%.. Clearly they don't care about customer satisfaction. I am absolutely disgusted with the treatment I have received. I work in food/customer service, so I absolutely can understand accidental miscommunication. The driver was kind and we had no issue, the issue is with whoever is answering those phones. I called at 9:00pm and placed an order. I was told it would be about 15 minutes, which makes sense seeing as I am in cape may and this location is in north cape may. 50 minutes later I called three times. They close at 10:00pm. Nobody answered. I'm assuming they blocked that number, so I then used a different one and asked about my order. They attempted to gaslight me by saying they called multiple times to let me know it would be late. There were no call notifications. The woman over the phone (same one as first time I called) proceeded to get passive aggressive and blame me for the issue. I was just asking if my order would be coming or not, so I could order elsewhere if needed? I was completely flabbergasted with the way I was treated. I know work is hard, but I deserve respect as a paying customer. I don't believe in "the customer was always right" but do NOT talk down to me. read more

We are from Virginia Beach. We chose this restaurant because he had everything we were looking for for our party of 7. The staff is incredibly friendly & the food was AMAZING!!!!! My 8 year old made friends with the pizza guy who gave him dough to play with. He then made a pizza with it. my son was so excited!! My daughter got a fresh filled cannoli & said "this is the best cannoli I have ever had!" Which is saying a lot! I highly recommend paying them a visit! read more

On vacation at a hotel in Cape May. We ordered delivery at 7:50 via yelp with delivery through Grub Hub. Food arrived at 9:30. In between there was no update or communication about status. When we checked the status of order it would just say the same thing. We called Yelp at 9pm and they said the driver was on the way. This would have been fine had we received the drinks and the parm cheese we ordered and plastic ware. Pretty tough to eat spaghetti without utensils. The food was bland. When we called about drinks they said they would send the driver back. It is 10:30 and we still have no drinks. Just called to cancel the drinks - they are closed and not answering the phone. My family and I took our usual trip to Cape May and on the drive down wanted to make a quick stop for food. We did our usual Yelp research and saw that Italian Affair was on the way to our destination and in the same lot as a Supermarket, which was a bonus because we always need to pick up some provisions. My wife and daughter started with the Italian Wedding soup and they made quick work of it. For our entree we ordered a pepperoni pie. The pizza was made to perfection. The crust was crispy but not burnt and the sauce had a slight sweetness that gave it some extra flavor. To demonstrate how good it was, we had an 8 slice pie between the 3 of us and we did not need a to go box. When you don't know where else to go, but you're looking for a decent meal. Italian Affair is always there for you. My Summer house is just up the road so we frequent here constantly in the summer and occasionally order take out. -- It's located in a strip mall and has literally been there for as long as I can remember. I don't think I have ever had to wait for a table, but a Friday / Saturday night here is always crowded. The place itself is pretty out dated. Definitely could use a pick me up, but the food has always been consistent even through the years. Go to's: Spaghetti and Meatballs (their sauce is great with so much flavor and the portion is pretty big), My husband loves their chicken parmigiana (again portion is pretty big), not for me at all but my dad and sister love the speghetti and clams too! Also in a previous visit, when I was on a diet restriction they listened carefully and made my dish with care.
