The people you meet are of a high quality and with common interests in dating. Not everyone will be a match, however It Takes 2 keeps you focused on dating and potentially meeting the right person. This business cast itself as a matchmaker service. They promote themselves as being very experienced, professional and reliable. They are anything but. The criteria on which they match people must come out the thin air and does not use anything that one requests at the time of interview. They do not do any background checks and represent that they can not be held responsible for their clients. One match that was sent had a court case involving molesting their daughter. They count "calls" from potential dates toward the number you receive, even if you do not meet them. The assistant and owner are manipulative and somewhat threatening if you question the matches and process. Not sure what one is paying for since the matches are bad, no background checks and a non-supportive staff. It Takes Two is very, very expensive. One wonders what they are doing to earn that! Love is only for the well off apparently! I was interested in this match making service and did plenty of research before hand. There wasn't much which was recent. All of the Google reviews that were written recently were actually from people who used the service several years ago. I also could not find a mention of pricing anywhere on their website and when asked prior to the consultation I was not given a direct answer. After spending a fair amount of time filling out questionnaires and answering some very personal questions about my own finances (including who I bank with, what car I drive and how much the payment is, how much my mortgage is etc.) I was finally shown the eye watering prices. For $1000 you only get to meet THREE people. And it goes up in large increments from there. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I earn a reasonable amount but can not afford those prices (and with having no guarantee it will work). For those who have extra money to waste it seems like a great option, but not for the average person! UPDATE: It Takes 2...to bully me into removing this review. 12/2/14 received a phone call from It Takes 2 (after previous calls and an email) regarding my above review. Two people on the phone trying to bully and bride me with gift cards to remove my honest review of my experience dealing with their business (phone conversations and an hour long consultation). Voices were raised and I was made to feel like a villain for giving an honest opinion of my experience. Was asked 'how does this review help your life?" Answer: It helps my life by knowing I'm helping others make informed decisions based on real experiences. Reviews which would have helped me make a decision had there been any recent reviews to read (all the Google reviews which were posted recently are actually from people who used the service many years ago). Was also told "you didn't even use our service, how can you write a review?" Answer: My above review never says anything about actually using the service, but rather my experience with communication and my "consultation". Total rip off! Don't fall for it folks. I took an interest in this company because I felt safer and more at ease that there was a pre-screening process - total waste of my time and hard earned money. You're better screening folks through Match.com. The few people that I was "matched" with were not even close to meeting my criteria & it took literally 3 months in between getting a new person to meet. I found the owner to be condescending, uncaring, and only in it for the money! Over promise, under deliver -- keep a close watch on your wallet when you walk into their office; they'll pick your pocket, make all kinds of big promises and not follow through on any of them. HORRIBLE service. read more
