I started my modeling career with Modelogic in 2013, and been with them ever since then. Also, I have been modeling on my own in NYC for a year (not through Modelogic as a mother agency), I learned the HARD way not all agencies, especially in NYC, are the same as Modelogic in the way they care, fight and guide for their models. Most agents get rude and simply don't care when they are asked about payments for the jobs done 6 months ago - never happens in Modelogic. They always urge their clients to pay as soon as the job is done and process the payments to models right away. This doesn't always happen in other agencies I swear. So I really appreciate this and do not take it for granted. In Modelogic, they never hand you an "exclusive" contract and want you to sign it in their presence. They let you take it with you and fully review it unlike some agencies in NYC. Most agencies I've come across were no more than merely a "booker" despite on the contract, they are labelled as a "model management". In Modelogic, the owner Stacie, and her super agent Julia are FAR more than just a "BOOKER". They have the eyes to know what works and don't, and guide their models into a way that will help them to succeed - they know what types of test shoots/portfolio you need at where you are whether starting out or experienced. They help you develop your book and set up test shoots at a very reasonable rate or even at no cost sometimes with a verified photographer meaning your time & efforts put into the photoshoot are worth every minute. This also makes Modelogic different than others who set up pretty much every new models to shoot with their photographer and charge an enormous amount. Stacie and Julia upholds their proud of whom they represent and are NOT afraid to slam those clients who try to take advantage of their models by working them overtime, trying to lower the rate to an unacceptable point, paying late, and etc even if the deal has to fall through. They do not suck up to this type of clients unlike other agencies who book their models for free or at a nominal rate because they are just too afraid to lose the clients and this cycle goes on and on and on. I personally believe that Modelogic is able to do that because they are very selective on whom they represent. They retain the quality of their models. They don't takes everyone who simply want to model. So they are able to keep the value of the models and the agency itself and demand for what they deserve. If they deem you are a good fit, they will help you develop and even place you in other major cities like NYC, LA, London, Milan, and so on. After 12 years of modeling in New York, I relocated to DC for my husband's new job. I wasn't sure about the agencies in the area, but commuting to NYC every week was exhausting, so I needed to find a more local agency. My agent in NY recommended that I contact Modelogic; she had previously worked with the owner of Modelogic at Wilhelmina NY, and said they were the best agency in the DMV area. I took her advice and emailed some photos. They responded right away, and we soon had a great introductory meeting that gave me the sense I was at the right place. As I have done with almost all agencies I have worked with, I initially signed a non-exclusive contract, meaning that I could find and accept work from other agencies. I wanted to make sure that they would be the right fit for me, which they totally understood and gave me an exception. In the first year I was signed with them, I not only booked several lucrative jobs, they helped me develop my portfolio, which is what I desperately needed and something that most people underestimate doing. Developing your portfolio is the equivalent of strengthening your rèsumè and honing your skills. It's something you should be doing about every 6 months if you want to work regularly. With my portfolio being much stronger now, I can book large jobs without having to attend auditions; I can meet new clients and have repeat bookings with them; I can be eligible for being signed with agencies abroad and in other states. This is crucial to a successful modeling career, and couldn't have happened without their knowledge and help. The agency did not charge me any outrageous fees for anything not pertaining to my success. They waived the classes, because I have over a decade of professional experience. I pay a very small annual fee for website use (the fee is ten percent of what most NY agencies charge annually). Whenever the agency sets up a test shoot for me, I pay the photographer (and hair/makeup artist and clothing stylist, if applicable) directly. I have the option to not test with anyone if I don't want to, nothing is ever forced. I have the freedom to research the photographer and make sure he/she isn't sketchy or lacking skills. The same is true of all bookings, too - you always can say no to any job that you are not interested in, or would make you uncomfortable. The agents have your best interest in mind. As long as you communicate your concerns, they will listen and work with you. You don't want to wear fur or lingerie? You don't want to travel? You don't know how to swim? All that is fine, but communication is key. You'll never get in trouble for being honest up front, and that is just one of the many great aspects of Modelogic. They answer every question you have, and they not only answer quickly, but are never curt or rude. They are some of the most supportive people I have ever worked with - so much so, they feel like family. This year I decided to sign exclusively with them because of our close, familial relationship and they make me excited about my career opportunities (which is saying a lot, given that I am not a fresh young face). I feel as if the Google reviews of this place have to be of friends and family because what I witnessed did not merit four stars or even three. I've been a part of the Modelogic Family since 2005. In the time I have been with them, everyone has always been professional, courteous and kind. When they asked to represent my older daughter, who is now 5, I didn't think twice before taking her in for a test shoot. The entire experience - the classes, shooting for comp cards, submissions, bookings and follow-ups - is wonderful! I have never had an issue with anyone in the office and having been there for 15 years there have been a few changes in personnel but I've always been treated with the utmost respect. Stacie always has her talents' best interest at heart - you can text, call or e-mail her at any time of day and she will always respond and will always make sure you are comfortable and properly taken care of on a client shoot. Stacie, Julia, Emily, Kaycie & Rebecca are by far the most wonderful team of people and they look out for all of their talent at all times. When I use the word "family" I mean it wholeheartedly - I trust them with my kids and I think that says a lot. As for the comment I read about their treatment of people of color - that is completely false. They have an array of diverse talent and everyone is treated the same. The other thing I love about them is that they are open, honest & candid. If you have what their clients are looking for and they can work with you - they will represent you. If you don't then they won't and that isn't any indication of your "outer beauty" - they know the industry and they know what will work and what won't, it's that simple! I'm talent for Modelogic and have been represented by them for over 3 years now. I started the same as the guy below, it's definitely hard but I can see why people that don't succeed at modeling get frustrated with the process of becoming a model. Because it is work and it does take time to get paid but out of ALL of my NATIONAL and INTERNATIONAL agencies this one remains my mother agent and the only one I trust with finances and paying me on time. Let me be clear you think you know what these people do...you do not... The booking agent is the first woman to answer the phone at 3am east coast time because I just flew from Germany for a job and my hotel doesn't have my booking information. Guess who fixes it? These bad ass women. She's the first to answer when one of our girls is in Paris at a fitting at midnight and gets scared walking home. They are fighting international clients and foreign agencies to make sure we get paid and that we get paid as soon as possible. they see you as a human and really care about these girls mental health and happiness which is not something other agencies give a hoot about AT ALL trust me... These women are the mama bears that protect us from weird internet weirdos and spend hours dedicating time to build your career. If you can't dedicate the time and funds it takes to model (because trust me it's expensive and if you think this agency is expensive you are mentally hilarious and have not done your research) Also for the record Modelogic has gotten me representation and consistent work in the following cities/ countries.... NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Minnesota, Texas, Seattle, Mexico, Columbia, Dubai/ Qatar, Germany and South Africa So I don't really know if the other reviewers can technically be called reviews because you have to work for a company or use the service at least before reviewing... read more

Money racket. Most of their male models look way to feminine and one of their main female models looks like McCauley Culkin post Home Alone. The only one who was nice was Jaime and the lady that did the make up class. The rest have no sense of humor. It's a joke. Go somewhere else. read more

I have been working with Modelogic for a few years and boy do I have a lot to say! For one, they are the worst at being mean. Even when I'm being a Diva and asking question after question they somehow remain professional. They are also absolutely awful responding late to my emails. Finally, I wish they were a little more business savvy by asking for more money than a small annual fee for all the hard "extra" work they do for me. They are terrible for not being an agency that charges outrageous fees to their models. That being said, they have always been kind and professional to me whether I am making them money or not. They show sincere interest in my development but not at an overnight rate. Further, when I effectively communicate my expectations they will give me a gentle answer which is hard to do. When I seek coaching they are always there and if I am professional in sharing my concerns, problems or opportunities they will answer with kindness. The staff there is kind and welcoming toward him; they are completely up front about expectations, clear about (and give you plenty of) options for photos and they work hard to make it a seamless booking. My oldest daughter (7) has been with Modelogic for a little more than 2 years now and when she got signed my son at the time was too young to be officially represented (3) but they said when he is old enough the would be interested in signing him as well. From day one everyone in the agency (The owner, agents photographers etc) has been nothing but kind and accommodating to us. When a regular client started booking my daughter they happened to see my son and asked to use him too! Immediately Modelogic facilitated that request and he started getting jobs as well! My emails are answered in the same day and when a client is looking to possibly book my kids the agency goes out of their way, when possible, to ask what day/time would work best for me! From the beginning they make it know that they do their best to give talent exposure but ultimately they aren't the one who is hiring models for the job, the client is, and that goes for any agency (it's kinda common sense if you ask me). Overall, I've been happy with Modelogic and have never seen a need to find another agency because I felt mistreated in anyway! read more

I do not work at Modelogic but my daughter signed with Modelogic last year. Yes, the comp cards were expensive but professionally done by a very nice photographer (the other "Todd Wright" ;) who worked great with the kids/parents. We were told we could use other photos but were so impressed with Todd's work, we chose to invest in it. Stacie (the owner/President), Todd (Director of New Faces) and Julia (Booking agent) and her team are warm, down-to-earth people. If I've emailed them, I've always received a timely, friendly response back. They notify you of casting calls and IT'S UP TO THE CLIENT whether you or your child get chosen...it's that way in NY, Miami, wherever. This is a smaller market, they have expenses to pay like any other agency. If you research, you know the deal. They have to take in a lot of talent to offer their clients variety. We recently did a shoot with one of their biggest clients who were just as warm and nice! We were paid also in a timely manner :) Does she work every month? No, but that's not because of any less effort from the agency. They send the pics out according to what the client wants, and if you or your child is what the client is looking for, you'll get the job pending a casting or go-see. They are the opposite of snobby from my experience and have been lovely to work with. I have also met other models (child and adult) who also enjoyed working for them. Hopefully, that will give you a better idea of this agency. They are legitimate, and they do send successful models to major agencies in NY/Miami and my daughter makes a nice paycheck when she does a shoot and has a great time!! read more
