That Butter Board with house wine jelly and the unforgettable Whipped Feta with Baked Peaches & Pistachios stole the show! Plus, their Mexican Street Corn Salad was the perfect fresh bite. So impressed by their commitment to local ingredients and sustainability. The service was wonderful with the staff - knowledgable with their offerings and checking in with us time to time. Thanks! The beautiful decor of their outdoor dining space made the experience even more special. It was a first time but not the last, next time we are in Abbotsford.

I reserved a table on a OpenTable and had to wait for about 10 minutes to be sat down. All tables were full, and the table we were led to was very hot and blinded by the sun. We asked the server once another table left if we could move to a table that has a sun umbrella and some decent shades, she said no because another party reserved it and had already arrived. I was confused and told her I also made a reservation, so how come another reserved party has higher priority than us. She then apologized and said she didn't know I had a reservation (even I told her from the get go), and eventually arranged us to move. We ordered drinks and snacks. My cocktail came rather promptly, but my husband waited for 45 minutes for his sparkling wine flight, and they gave him a wrong order of red wine flight. He had to wait another 15 minutes, so totally one bloody hour for the correct sparkling wine flight. We ordered the whipped feta with fig & blueberry compote, and after an hour long they came another wrong order, the whipped feta with baked peaches and pistachios. It tasted decent, but it was still the wrong order nonetheless. The server just kept on saying kitchen is super busy and servers are insanely exhausted today. She didn't even offer to give us the new correct dish, or do anything to make up for it.

Tastings cost $5 per person and can be applied towards the purchase of a bottle. When we came, they offered 8 whites and 3 reds on the tasting menu. We tried all the reds and five whites. The following were our favorites: Favorite white - Siegerrebe and Suzee Quattro Favorite red - Three Amigos We ended up buying 6 bottles - one of the Siegerrebe, two of the Suzee Quattro, and three bottles of Pinot Noir since it was wine of the month and was on sale (2 bottles for the price of 3). I'm so glad we stopped by this winery. We loved the wine and will be back to stock up!

Though one or two people working in the wine tasting room were nice friendly and polite. Small tasting room with maximum of 6 people seating arrangements and another 4 could stand in queue ( that small). Towards one corner are stored empty barrels for $150.00 /each. Right in middle is a barn used for events etc but not opened to general public. Could be rented. I am guessing owners house is in another corner as there is a bungalow on one side but i might be wrong. Wine yards are parallel on both side of the front yard. Its popularity was more than i thought. As we were there for over half an hour, we noticed visitors ,frequenters flocking the place on scooters, bikes. Its coz this is quite central to surrey and on the other side to vancouver. Well all have fun touring wine yards.

Red, white, rose n even mead.yah ma friends-mead honey wine n that wasn't sweet . I will talk abour it in my other review but this is only for seasidepearl winery. I was so smitten by its external beauty that i forgot to take a picture of front. In fact they have knowledgeable sommeliers, magnificent patio with vineyard view n even the best cheese pairing. Litle more wine tasting fee but the glasses looked bigger. Let me tell you it not any regular tasting room but a classy one. The moment i walked in , i felt so out of place in my gym wear coz everyone including the associates were all decked up. I mean it was cool to see so many wine lovers of all age n group dressed so fine enjoying the glass of selected wine for them. The parking was full . Tasting room was full so we just thought of strolling around. Dave who is co owner waived us to come over to him n he made our day. He is an amazing human being with good sense of humour, love for his work, passionate about wine making, adorable owner of 3 handsome horses named ghost rider, He showed us the big spectacular event room / dinning room/ party hall. I mean u can turn it into anything. His horses n huge hall where he make and store wine. ( its not included in tours, we just got lucky) Trust me, i have been to many wineries but after this experience did i think of writing reviews about all wineries. After Brooks winery in oregon, they stood out. There are a few select vineyards around the country that go above and beyond to astound visitors and Seasidepearlwinery did it..

We had purchased a wine passport earlier in the day, which we had used at two previous wineries without issue. When we requested an outdoor table, our request was declined as not available to persons using the Wine passport!! and when we left, spots on the patio were still open. Instead, we were seated in a corner with only four chairs, and our designated driver was not offered a seat or a glass of water. This oversight made us feel uncomfortable and excluded our friend from the experience, thanks Austin!! I requested an additional chair, and a high stool was eventually brought, but it was much taller than the other seats and seemed thoughtless, especially since there were unused chairs available nearby. Throughout our visit, the server made no eye contact and appeared disengaged. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere during our wine tasting. Despite purchasing the wine passport and tipping generously at the previous wineries, we did not feel welcomed at this establishment and left as soon as possible. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that fell short of our expectations. A 7 out of 10 decor was a beautiful, unique establishment, a 10 out of 10 if we had a person serving who wanted to be there. Sorry if we did not meet your criteria for the person who opened the wine for us!! No, we will not be back, but we will certainly go back to Cannon Estate winery, where we had an amazing, engaging experience with our server, who made up for the ill-mannered, rude gentleman at Seaside Pearl Winery.

This was a perfect way to spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon…read more One of the primary reasons we visited Victoria was to sample various types of BC wine. With this in mind, we sought out a Cowichan Valley half or full day wine tour. During our research we learned most companies offering full day tours leave at 10:45a but only visit four wineries. Those tours include a buy it yourself lunch stop and shopping. On the other hand, Vancouver Island Tours offers a half day tour which begins at 12:30p and includes visits to three wineries. This tour was a perfect fit better for our need to maximize our travels each day. Leslie, the owner and our guide was simply amazing. Her passion is evident in everything that she does. She provided us with a wealth of information about the various regions (including Okanagan), geography, the varietals, climate, communities and other historical tidbits along the way. We even stopped at a viewpoint which was absolutely breathtaking. BC wineries are relatively new in that they have been around less than 30 years. White grapes typically grow best here but Leslie brought us to a few wineries which also offered a few hybrid grapes made specifically for this climate. We purchased both reds and whites which we enjoyed too much to leave behind. Given the options available to us in early April, we were pleased with every aspect of our tour. If you are interested in a tour of 5 people or less, this is a professional, personable and enjoyable wine tour option. It is also competitively priced and includes pick up at your hotel.

At the end of October when I went, they're only open Friday and Saturday afternoons. Our experience there was super chill. We rang the door and someone let us in. I forgot his name, but he was one of the brothers behind the operation. He then introduced us to their liquors and we picked which ones we wanted to try. We tried a variety of liquors, including their vodka, ginger and honey, coffee, scotch, apple brandy, and kartoffelschnaps. Our favorite was the vodka, as it's one of the smoothest vodka's I've ever tried. The coffee liquor was also very good if you're a coffee drinker, but I personally am not a huge fan of the coffee taste. We bought a bottle of the vodka, scotch, and ginger and honey liquor away with us. Prices were reasonable. For example, a 750 ml bottle of vodka was $35. You can also take a couple steps into their distillery space. We went in to take a look and also was given a high level introduction to their distilling process.

Oh, and of course there's a healthy sized tasting post-tour at the bar with your very own Schramm's glass. The word on the Pemberton street is that Tyler is concocting a small batch of Organic Single Malt Whisky this summer. But unfortunately, we will have to wait a few more years to sample this barrel of local gold. Damn you Oak Casks!
