I absolutely loved Isaac's Cafe, which is nestled in the Bernheim Arboretum. The arboretum makes up 16,000 acres, which I learned is the size of Manhattan in New York. To get to Isaac's Cafe, you'll need to enter the main gates of the Bernheim Arboretum. It is free to enter but donations are welcomed. On my visit I ordered the Garden Hummus Vegetable wrap, which I have had at other restaurants but Isaac's Cafe was noticeably different. The lettuce still had a crunch to it rather than being wilty and limp. The hummus appeared to have been just blended and whipped for my sandwich, at least that is what is seemed like and tasted to me. Even the hummus color was bright and vibrant. And the vegetables had such texture that each bite had a crisp or crunch sound, almost as loud as the crunch from my potato chips. When they called my name to pick up the wrap, as soon as I saw it I immediately thought I would eat half of the wrap now and save the other portion for later but I ate the entire wrap in one sitting. The seating on the outside patio was such a treat to sit with nature and hear the birds in the air. I also admired the plants in the many different shades of green coupled with beautiful stalwart trees surrounding the outskirts of the cafe patio. Isaac's Cafe is connected to the Bernheim Arboretum gift shop, which also had local products and eclectic souvenirs for sale. I was limited on time so I wasn't able to look at everything but if you do go plan your day and time accordingly with at least 20 minutes for the gift shop.

While we were at Bernheim Forest a few weeks ago my family and I stopped in to Isaac's Café my wife wanted a drink and the kids wanted a snack. I had the Cedar Grove Club panini and it was delicious. If anyone truly knows me, they know I am very particular about my coffee. I tried the Peppermint Mocha and it was amazing. My husband had the Italian panini and the salted caramel latte, he really enjoyed both. The staff, Kimber, Addie and Kolton were very courteous and inviting. Also a plus was the owners were there roasting coffee, the aroma from the coffee made everything feel so cozy. If you haven't tried Cedar Grove Coffee House, pay them a visit, I promise you won't regret it.

They are always hot, fresh, and way better than most coffee shop food. The workers are one of the best parts. They are always kind and funny, they always ask how I am before taking my order which is great customer service. Also, they've started playing music inside which makes the vibe and ambiance perfect for studying, dates, meet ups with friends, or anything really! I typically order through the drivethru but on occasion I'll come in to look at the local art. They also have a new system that makes ordering really easy, and the rewards program is a great bonus. This place just keeps getting better and I always look forward to coming back. If you haven't been here or want something different than chain coffee shops, COME HERE!

Paige's I've cream parlor has opened up the neighboring wall and shares a dining room area with next door restaurant hillview diner. I recently came here with a few of my daughters and we all got just an ice cream in a cup. 2 of my younger girls got the blue panda. Which is basically cookies and cream Ice cream with cotton candy flavoring. My oldest got an orange sherbet and I personally got a mint chocolate chip. All the ice creams had a really good flavor and nice creamy texture. Pricing wasn't too bad. Around $15 bucks for 4 ice creams that was decent sized scoops. Overall nice place that I'd you wanted tot could dine at restaurant next door and they will add it to the bill there. If not they had two small tables in lobby and two picnic tables out front. So there are other options.

When you walk in it's just an old school diner for sure old building old things in there but it's all real nostalgia and cool. Ice cream itself is pretty solid I don't really eat a lot of ice cream stay away from the sugars but my daughter got some and I tried hers it was some kind of blue Smurf ice cream thing and it tasted like a cotton candy mint chocolate cookie so it was good she enjoyed it definitely would go back and I recommend you do to
