We were looking for somewhere for breakfast around the museums we planned to go to while in Munich…read moreand found Mr. Pancake, a small American-themed restaurant not far from Königsplatz. We were greeted right away and got to choose to sit inside or outside, then went to the register to place our order. I got the Mr. Cherry and my bf got the Mr. Bacon. The pancakes were SO good and the cherries and vanilla sauce added tartness and sweetness, respectively. A cute little cafe with really tasty food!

Our tour didn't eat inside cause we had many places to go. I couldn't see it this place was large or not or if they had a lot of seatings. Emmi's Kitchen is a cozy little spot hidden back in a courtyard, which I imagine is lovely on a day with more favorable weather. The inside isn't huge, but luckily there was room for our party of six -- we were able to push a few tables together. Most of the other tables were taken, so I imagine it's even busier on weekends. I got the avocado toast with tofu scramble, and a couple people in our group got the avocado toast without it. We all got coffee, and some of us also got orange juice. The food was tasty and fresh, and although I found the portion size to be a bit small relative to the price, I would probably come back here to try other things on the menu.

It's a cozy corner spot with very cool family style bench seating around low cocktail tables. I believe it doubles as a coffee spot during the day so you can see it's set up for people to hang out. The server was very friendly and helped us a lot with getting our order in. We ended up getting a sampling of some of the top dishes to include a Munich style schnitzel. It was delicious.

I got cafe latte, a slice of cherry chocolate cake which is very thick, goes great with my coffee, and some scrambled eggs with ham plus some arugula on top. The first thing that catches your eye is how cute the store is. Then you begin to notice that it is meant to be photographed. The food and decor are set up perfectly for instagramming. So much so that out of the row of 5 tables we were sitting in, at least two spent most of their time taking and posting pictures. Besides being beautiful, the food was also delicious. We had the oats and the yogurt, which looked very similar but did not taste the same. Both were light and the fruit was fresh. I had a latte with almond milk, which was so good and of course had some latte art. My husband had an americano. Great place if you're in the area and want some picturesque food and coffee.

Sandwiches are great, good variety in breakfast options. Bagels are more bread like, but very light. The sandwiches all have some sauce/spread, so they are flavorful and not very dry. Definitely one of the better places for good coffee in Munich. My iced coffee drink was just a little sweet, so I would just ask for less syrup next time. Coffee isn't from a machine (which seems to be common in many bakeries). Would highly recommend this cafe!
