The decor…read moreis charming, warm, and thoughtfully done, and it has a lovely atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, the food and service experience left me very disappointed. The menu is surprisingly rigid, particularly for anyone with dietary restrictions. There are very few vegan options, and what was most frustrating was the unwillingness to make even very simple accommodations to existing menu items. For example, I ordered a salad and simply asked for the steak to be served on the side rather than mixed into the salad. I wasn't asking for ingredients to be removed or for the dish to be changed--I was only asking for the steak to be served separately. I was told this could not be accommodated. For a restaurant at this level, I found that unnecessarily inflexible. The customer service also left a lot to be desired. I had an interaction with the supervisor, Santos, that felt particularly lacking in empathy and understanding. Even when a restaurant has policies or limitations, there is a way to communicate them with a little warmth and consideration. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. It's a shame because the restaurant has so much going for it visually and atmospherically. I really wanted the overall experience to match the beautiful setting, but the inflexible menu and customer service made it difficult to enjoy the visit. I hope the restaurant will consider offering more options for guests with dietary restrictions and empowering its staff to make reasonable accommodations.

Food is much better than I remembered - but still pricey for our little town. The star of the night was the butter salad with fresh tomatoes and avocado with a champagne vinaigrette - sounds so simple but the dressing really makes the dish. French onion soup a bit pricey $18...for a soup, but tasty. the escargot - was good but would likely pass next time. And the duck confit - the sauce was divine. All in all - a lovely Friday night dining experience. One thing that brought this down was when my daughter went inside to use the restroom, one of the servers (not ours - a young lad) aggressively said to my teenage daughter - restrooms are for customers only. My daughter was a bit taken aback - she was rattled for a few minutes after - since she was like geez, what's going on? It's not like she was dressed inappropriately. So in the future - may be better to inform the staff to speak a bit more in a customer centric tone. Otherwise - lovely wine, great service otherwise.

The food was VERY good. So much flavor in everything, and loved the presentation / plating. It was clear to see that they care about these things which made each plate feel special. They have a very very long list of specials, so just a heads up, expect to have many more options to choose from that aren't even listed on the menu. When we were there, they had a few different fish specials, steaks, a seafood risotto, and a bunch of others that I can't remember. We ordered the Moules Marinières (mussels) but requested to have it as our appetizer which they were happy to do for us. The broth was exquisite. We didn't even leave a drop behind. It came with a large portion of mussels and great French fries that were nice and crispy. To pair with this dish, we also ordered bread which I believe was $8. The bread went really well with the broth. For our entrees my wife had the Magret de Canard Roti (seared duck breast) which was cooked perfectly med-rare. I tried a bite and was really impressed. So much flavor, and the skin was crispy. I ordered the Braised Lamb Shank which was soooo good. I loved the way that it was plated, deboned, and with tons of gravy. The mashed potato puree was very flavorful and buttery. I would absolutely order this again. For dessert, we got the Tarte Tatin (apple tart with ice cream). It came very nicely plated, and a large portion too. The tart itself was kind of cold-ish, and while it was very tasty, we had expected a tart like this to be served warm as if it just came out of the oven. Presentation was really nice, and honestly it was still really really good, but yes I think it would have been better if it was served warmer. Didn't stop us from devouring it though haha. Overall we really loved this restaurant and look forward to coming back again sometime.

I walk by daily! So glad we finally came in. The baguette was perfect, crispy on the outside and warm on the inside. The salad with house vinaigrette was perfection, and the oysters from British Columbia were incredibly fresh and delicious. I had the Short Rib Ravioli with braised beef, and Linda had the duck confit, which she loved. She enjoyed a glass of red wine, I had a bottle of Coke, and we finished by sharing an amazing Tarte Tatin with ice cream. The unexpected highlight was the personality of the two owners. Their playful banter, including throwing each other under the bus in the funniest way, made the whole evening. We had not been back to MCC for about a year! It is still a great place for breakfast or brunch…read more There is still street parking and a lot near by behind the businesses on their side of the street. They still have indoor and outdoor seating. Near open on a weekend, they were not very busy and it was quiet like on our last visit. The lady who took care of us sad that she is the sister of the owners. She was super nice and very attentive. We got the quiche Lorraine and a banana-Nutella crepe again. The crepe had consistently good quality compared to our last visit and is still just as good to comparable crepe places. Still not many places make quiche and of those that do, even fewer make the dense and thick slice pie style MCC makes--which is the good and high quality type. The quiche was actually better than our last visit and while we do not know, it still seeks like they make it on site. You still need lactaide to eat if u r intolerant, but it's definitely worth it. Recommend you get fruit instead of salad with it. Since their food is so rich/caloric/comfort food, we cannot come here too often, but when you are in the mood for a treat, this is a great place to go! Definitely recommend to give them a try!

I've been meaning to try their crepes for the longest time and luckily, I finally found the chance to dine in. I ordered the La Opera breakfast crepe, which came filled with eggs, cheese, onions, and avocado. It had the perfect balance of textures and flavors, with the thin crispy edged crepe cradling the savory filling. I loved how the richness of the eggs, cheese, onions, and avocado all complemented the delicate buttery taste of the crepe shell. All in all, Monsieur Crepe Cafe is a hidden gem and everything they make is fantastic. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. After looking at the menu, we decided to just do a lot of different things to split: duck liver pate, steak tartare, roasted shrimp, yellow tail crude and the truffle pasta. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, but most particularly, the truffle pasta. This dish was absolutely decadent. And although we were pretty full, we still wanted dessert, so we ordered the apple tarte. It was served warm, and it was slightly tart and fairly sweet. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive.
