I walked in to this place on Super Bowl Sunday around 2:00 PM. There were no customers that I could see. There was nobody at the front desk. I checked in. Sat and waited. Nobody one ever came out to say "We'll be right with you. Thank you for checking in. Someone check on you? What were you wanting to have done?" Nothing. No acknowledgement at all. I saw one person come out from the back. Reached into what I believe might have been a refrigerator and walk back to the back. I don't know if it was an employee or a visitor to the salon. I appreciate anyplace that is nice to kids and walk in appointments and they took great care of me and my daughter. We had an early release day after my daughters kindergarten celebration. I wanted to do something special with her so we went and got her first manicure. They were wonderful the entire time!! My daughter loved picking from the variety of nail polishes and getting her nails painted. Our tech also went the extra mile to ensure she got some of the giant circle and star glitter bits on each of my daughter's little nails, I appreciated that. My favorite part of a manicure is getting my cuticles taken care of and our tech did a wonderful and gentle job. Don't doubt the my little pony brand colors, that's what I have on and I love it. Great place, great service and ambiance. I also appreciate that is smells great, even in the afternoon you can't tel it's a nail salon. Been unfair not to post review before. Followed my manicurest from her previous salon over two years ago. Followed Rose as her previous salon was mistreating her while her management was ordering & receiving his expensive remote control toys @ the salon. All the other salon techs except Rose had left. Rose is a great nail tech & very nice person. ISpa is accommodating to both my husband's & i's scheduling preferences. Staff is very polite & friendly. Clean, relaxing place to have your nails done. I can only recommend Rose personally. Other nail techs seem to have their own regulars. They, also, seem to be able to accommodate most walk-ins as well. Fair prices for their services. read more

Drove past this place and decided to give it a try. It's in a busy shopping center with lots of parking. I was greeted as I walked in and asked if they could take a walk in pedi. The woman said yes and asked me to pick a color. They have all the colors nicely organized to make selection easy. The place is nothing fancy but kept clean. I was seated quickly and the woman doing my toes was great. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. They use the metal cheese grater and a purple pumice stone to exfoliate but I asked her to skip those and she had no problem. The metal tool is too abrasive for most and can leave skin raw and painful. The purple pumice is supposed to be disposable since there's no way to properly sanitize it so I know if she's not opening a new one, it's not clean. Other than that my pedi was great. She used a scrub, gave a nice massage, and used hot towels. It was $55 for a shellac pedi so fairly priced. I'll definitely be back read more

First impressions: the salon was clean and I was treated like family and seated quickly even though I didn't have an appointment. I was offered a glass of white wine which they filled to the brim. The salon staff was friendly and helpful. They played a holiday film which I found a fun and unique touch to keep the atmosphere positive. The experience took a nose dive with the pedicure. It was clean and sanitary but the water was cold. They forgot the hot towels and the massage that came with the pedicure. During the manicure I was cut several times and I was bleeding. The overall job was not much better than I could have done at home. There was dirt under my nails when I left and the polish was uneven and didn't cover the nail in some places. My friend got a pedicure and it looked great. So I'm giving it 3 stars for the friendliness of the staff, the wine portion, and the nice pedicure my friend got. read more

I used to like this place. Last night I came in because I'm going to Disneyworld and I wanted Minnie inspired nails. Easy, how hard is it for three circles and a bow on one nail. I came in at 5:30 right after work, I left at 7:30 no Minnie nails. The part that really upsets me is that I asked before we even got my nails in the water for my mani if she could do this design, she said yes. DON'T SAY YES IF YOU CANT! She was for some reason rushing through my nails, she tried putting the shellac top coat without the polish being dry so it wrinkled. She continued doing my nails until i told her I wasn't happy with the one nail. She buffed it out and put another coat and top coat on it to cover it even though now i think it's too thick and will probably peel fast. She tried (and failed) to do the Minnie I had wanted and i ended up coming home with plain shellac nails with a few bubbles in them already. I wasted 2 hours of my life and $30 on something I DID NOT WANT OR ASK FOR! read more

I really have loved this salon since they opened about 8 years ago. In fact I've calculated what I've spent here over their lifetime and it's upwards of $10k. Over the last several months they've lost the great techs (Vincent?! Where are you?), they frequently make appts WAY too close together, causing stress for the techs and the customers. I've offered constructive feedback, I keep trying to come back, but spending so much on nails that only look good for half a week is frustrating. read more

Came here a few months ago and was pretty grossed out when they sat me down at a nail station that was clearly just used by someone else. We're talkin' like a towel covering the top of the station covered in bits of cuticle skin and nail clippings. The manicurist just shook the towel off under the table and refolded it on top of the station. FUCKING GROSS. It was hard to have a good time getting my nails done (I was with friends and didn't want to ruin their time) without throwing up or calling out the manicurist for being totally disgusting and lazy. Definitely not a clean place- I can only imagine what other short cuts they are taking :( They're also one of those nail salons where they try to upsell you on anything and everything just to get a decent mani/pedi. The guy that I had do my acrylics was very rude and not kid-friendly he kept saying stop moving when all I did was had a two and then with my best friend shut the whole table he did not say anything and said I talk too much and was talking about me to the other employees in the nail shop so that's why I would not recommend you to go there and have that guy get a girl because most of the women in there are nice and kid friendly just the man that I had he was already irritated he was getting irritated with everyone in there so I hope you have a better experience than what I had read more

I have never left a nail salon so happy. They were all very welcoming and offered complementary drinks. I showed them what I wanted and they made it happen. Anything that I didn't like my nail lady fixed with no issue. She was very polite and talked to me the whole time. Also they have very reasonable prices. This was my first time going to iSpa Nails. I've heard that many of the nail salons in San Marcos are not worth the trouble, but this place was a good experience. The inside is clean, and you could see that when a tool was used, it was taken to be cleaned. The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed the conversations. They forgot to turn on my chair when I sat down, but I didn't even notice because the people were very engaging. I got a mani pedi with shellac french nails. She immediately said she was booked that day and I'm fine with any other day but she said we are short handed and said to call back didn't even want to book an appointment for me. I'm like this lady is a trip. How dare she come off that way. I never disrespected her in any way yet alone not appreciate her work. Ispa is over priced she charged me 60 dallers! for a set of fake nails and to just paint them pink. There was nothing fancy about the work just pink nail polish. I asked about a design She said 10 dallers for every finger. was very impatient with me. I will not be going back sorry. read more

Horrible nail salon. Didn't like the color they applied and told them before they painted all of my nails. They continued to paint anyways and said the color would change. I waited 15 mins and the color still didn't change. They filed the shellac off and repainted them. The shape wasn't what I asked for either, I showed a picture and said this is what I want. Another technician ended up re-filing them for me and they looked better than they did. I came in the nail salon around 1:30 and didn't leave until 4:40. My friend also came with me and got her nails done too. We both got acrylic with shellac. She got long, coffin shaped nails and I got short, square nails. Hardly any shape. They charged her $45 and me $48 which doesn't seem right considering I got less done than her. The photos I attached are in order. Hannah has been the only tech I have had work on my nails and does a very nice job! I highly recommend her. My daughter had her eyebrows waxed and was very happy with the end result. Mindy is the manager over at ispa. I was referred to Mindy by my mom who is a regular client of Mindys. I had a great experience today. My nails looks great and Mindy was so helpful and fast! She was very kind and personable and wanting to help. I especially like iSpa because Mindy makes it a point to make you feel important and if you are a frequent customers at ispa you can incur savings based off of a frequent client card! The spa is clean and all employees are nice and friendly. I would highly recommend making an appointment if you don't like to wait because it is a high volume place! read more

Ive been going to iSpa for years now and recently I noticed a complete change in employees with the exception of Hannah however on Saturday I did not see her there and a older gentlemen did my pedi. I never saw him open a new set of pedi tools which i thought maybe he opened them before I sat down...after my experience now I'm not so sure he did. He wet the towel in the tub water after he pumice my feet then proceeded to wipe my legs with it. He cleaned the pumice with the same towel and put it back on his tray. The whole thing seemed unsanitary! For years Mindy managed this location and since she has been gone I feel that the service has declined. read more

I have NEVER been to a worse nail salon in my life. I have for years loyally gone to Regal Nails on Vance Jackson and they have always done absolutely incredible work, not a single problem. I only went here because I had a gift certificate and wish I had just given it away to an enemy instead. Shame on them. I had a full acrylic set with nail art done at their sister salon Diva Nails and initially I was happy but it didn't last long. My nails cracked, lifted and one broke all within a week. I went to iSpa for a fill hoping it would fortify my brittle acrylic nails and was told they had to remove ALL my nail art as it was impossible to do a fill other while. Such bull crap, I have never had another salon tell me that EVER. Either they are liars, incompetent or greedy, probably all of the above. I bit my tongue and got the fill along with the replacement nail since due to time constraints I had no other choice. She burned my nail with the dremmel and lied about that too. Less than a week later wouldn't you know it, another shattered nail. I hope they go out of business. read more

I went in for a polish change in my fingers and toes followed by an eye brow wax. I left with jagged nails, polish on my skin (fingers and toes), and one eyebrow bigger than the other. After getting home and fixing my nails and taking the polish off my skin I called to speak to a manager. She wasn't in and the girl I spoke to (who was very nice) said to come in to have them fixed after my trip to Florida. After returning from FL I called to confirm with a manager that I was coming in, again she was not in. A man asked my name and when I could come in. I showed up at my appointment time and seen right away. Polish change on my fingers and toes was done and once completed polish on my skin, both fingers and toes, and now on my flip flops. Apparently the staff didn't communicate because the girl who messed my nails up the first and now second time charged me to have my nails fixed. Oh, but I got a discount since I took the girls time after she accused me of ruining my nails the first time. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. It's hot and any salon who can't own up to their mistakes should have a manager in the store more than once a week. Beware!! read more
