In her spa adventures years ago, she received a massage from Kara at International Orange and thought it was the best massage she has ever had. Eventually, she tracked Kara down to her own private practice in Berkeley and has been paying to go see her out of her own pocket. Well, that sold me. You would rather pay to see Kara then go to another spa on a freebie? Wow. So I have been seeing Kara semi-regularly for over a year now. She helped me through a very serious and stressful health crisis with her intuitive body work. She somehow knows what parts of you need work without really saying much of anything. But the really cool part is the integration of reiki - which it is still a total trip to me. I have had reiki before and never really felt anything. At the risk of sounding like a new age freak, I can only describe what I have experienced as "building heat" or "balls of energy". Not in a theoretical way. In a 'WTF, a weird warm ball of energy just shot up my entire spine?!??!' Then Kara says something soothing like "Oh, did you feel that? Neat, huh?". Um. Yeah. Neat. I have now referred several friends to her and they all had amazing experiences. Kara is a really great body worker/ healer/ masseuse and she is a really terrific woman. Go try her. You won't be sorry.

Had an awesome 2 hour massage by Celina at Soothing Paradise!…read more Saw Soothing Paradise pop up on Groupon and the prices were very reasonable so I decided to give it a shot. I emailed Celina and she was super responsive to help me book my appointment. I appreciate her prompt replies. Got a few automated forms for COVID screening and new patient info. There is parking on site. Two designated spots for "Lash Up Studio". Two businesses share the studio space. Celina greeted me at the door and helped with getting me situated. There is a small bathroom inside that you can change in. The space itself is extremely clean and tidy. Music in the background and I believe there are loud air filters/fans going on as well. The massage bed was super comfortable and heated. There is a lot of airflow in the room so it is a good temperature. Celina was very communicative throughout the massage which I appreciated, checking on pressure. She used a better smelling oil than most places I've been to, so that was a nice touch :) I've never had anything more than 90 min, so the 120 min massage was a real treat. It is really great she has her own spot so you don't have to get any interruptions like at other massage businesses. Definitely felt relaxed throughout. Celina really knows her stuff! She works every body part and works out all the knots. I'm sad writing this review since I know Celina will be heavily booked in the future! It will be harder to get appointments with her when I visit the island :P My biggest criteria for massage businesses are communication, massage pressure, cleanliness, and full time provided. Celina hit all these spots and more. For all the groupon faithfuls, purchase with confidence! Soothing Paradise will be super busy very soon. Thank you Celina and hope to visit every time I'm on the island!

Shes located off on kinau st, a little business area right after the freeway exit and if you turn right to kinau from beretania before board of water supply. Parking is limited so she's only available by appointment and on certain days. Kaile was so sweet and accommodating and makes sure your comfortable. Easy to talk to and answers any questions you have. She's very knowledgeable and understands human anatomy that she can explain about fascia and tissues that all connect and areas of the body. She understands how stress, trauma and environment can affect the body and her techniques promote healing and relaxation. Shes also very strong and adjusts to your comfort level. If it's painful, your body is probably really tense but trust me, you want her to go a little hard with pressure because even though it might be a little painful (what you can tolerate), it feels soo good after. My body literally felt like jello and melty afterwards bc all the tension was relieved. There's a saying "your body keeps the score", trauma and stress can be stored in all parts of your body, leading to chronic pain and cause chronic diseases, so this is great to take care of yourself and help with healing! She also does cupping which is good for circulation and muscle tension relief. She offers hot stone as well. Right now, she is doing a 20% off her 60 or 90 min sessions so book now! Well worth it. I'm so happy I booked a massage with Kaile for my right knee and right shoulder. I could barely bend my knee without stiffness and pain as I walked into her clinic. The range in my shoulder wasn't any better. She worked on me for about an hour or so and also focused on my fascia which who would've knew could be such an issue for us. Who would've thought I would get such amazing results. She walked me through the entire process helping me understand what she was working on and setting my expectation. I immediately felt different as I got off the massage table. No pain to my shoulder and I could bend my knee again to assist me off the table. I walked out of there pain free, nearly 100% of range and most impotantly, I felt like a different person. I felt confident again. I would recommend to any woman who is looking for a safe, comfortable and professional environment to come here, take a chance like I did and experience Kaile's loving care. That's exactly what this experience was for me feeling that she truly listened to me, addressed my concerns and let me feel confident again. I've already booked my next appointment with her before I decided to leave a review and will start focusing on my health and my well-being again.
