The place is a little hard to find as it is in a nondescript building - looks almost like a company instead of a retail store. Once you venture in though you are greeted with a collection of this and that for autos but the fastest and easiest way is just to ask the guys behind the counter as most of the items are in their warehouse behind them. Once we got the preliminary make and model stuff out of the way, they fetched the part, charged me a low price and I was out the door in a flash and back on my way. I visited this location as I was having issues with the battery in my truck. Upon entering there…read morewere no other customers. I asked the gentleman behind the counter if I could have my battery checked. It immediately showed that my battery was dead. Although it is advertised that they change batteries, I was told by the guy working that they couldn't change my battery because I had digital displays and there is a piece that needs to be put on the car while the process was being done, and they didn't have that piece. I was told I needed to go to a dealership or a mechanic. As it turns out, this is not the case and upon inquiring at another location, it was no problem for them to change my battery. If the employees didn't feel comfortable doing it or maybe didn't have the piece needed at the time, they could have referred me to another location. Instead they brushed me off and obviously were too "busy" to assist customers. The Ronkonkoma location is about 5 min away, take the extra time and go to that location. They will give you correct information and assist the way they should.

Upon inspection by a Honda dealer they informed my the engine mounts had failed after just two years and needed to be replaced, but I would have to pay for the replacements as they were no longer under warranty. Regardless of any warranties in effect or not, engine mounts failing like this under normal conditions is completely unacceptable. When I contacted the company they blow me off and blamed me for the problem and that they have been in business for 30 years--I guess they think they are infallible. If you're looking for parts for your car or your mechanic is, don't buy anything from this company.

I just bought a brand new Hyundai Elantra for my daughter's first car. Anyways, they wanted $300 for the donut and jack which was outrageous after paying $20K for a car! I called around to junk yards and could only find it at Middle Country Auto Wreckers in Centereach. They had a number of them, pulled from Hyundai cars that didn't even hit the road so they were brand new. They were courteous and fair in pricing them at $100 for the tire and jack. They didn't look to take advantage of me because they know this is a hot item to find. So, I'm sharing this information with other fellow Hyundai owners that were duped as well. That was back when you used to be able to fix it yourself. Now car engines are all computerized and cost a small fortune to fix. They have been in business in the same spot for about 50 years. My 21yr old Lightning, and me the 9th owner: the truck had no history provided by the previous owner. It had a non-factory tune, both pullys changed, and a non-factory airbox. I asked Dan to thoroughly go through the truck and give me a starting point for my written history. 13.7 lbs of boost, fuel pumps more than capable for the flow needed, sparkplugs were cold enough for the 13lbs, supercharger belt was slipping, and the MAF Meter was peaking out too early, possibly causing a lean condition under full boost. Dan explained everything in both layman's terms and when prodded, in technical terms. Injectors were perfect, and even with 4 threads in the heads, the sparkplugs weren't going anywhere. Dan said whomever tunes the truck last touched a lot of setting that were not beneficial, and fully explained why. When he was convinced that I understood my truck as it was, he made his suggestions. Fixed all the computer glitches, corrected all the necessary settings, replaced the drive belt and Mass Airflow Meter, and found another 40 horsepower. 380bhp and 450 at the flywheel. Drives a lot smoother, throttle response is greatly improved, no lag, and sand strangely, runs cooler. I highly recommend Dan and RealSpeed. (And his prices are reasonable)
