One of the best dining experiences I have had. Coming from Atlanta we have a ton of great Cajun…read moreoptions but this really impressed. Everything from the ambiance to the food and even the service was phenomenal. Great dining room area with both an outdoor and indoor bar. We sat with the bartender AB that immediately greeted us with waters and their menu. They are currently running a pick 2 for $15.99 menu that has some pretty great options. We had 2 meals & chose the wings, blackened shrimp po boy with the small gumbo's. Wings were super crispy, juicy, and tender. With a nice light Smokey taste. They buffalo and blue cheese sauce was actually pretty impressive. The po boy had a good amount of shrimp to bread ratio, with a nice sauce included. The gumbo had a deep rich flavor, but was not overly heavy with fatty meats. We were also informed of the happy hour oyster special, so we ended up getting a few of the rockerfella and raw. The rockerfella was amazing with melty cheese, a nice garlic flavor, & served with crispy bread slices. The raw came with crackers, lemon, wine vinegar, and a tasty cocktail sauce. Both were delicious. Marco, the manager came and spoke with us about our experience which really showed the attention to detail this restaurant offers. After sharing our story of visiting New Orleans a few years ago and bragging about the beignets, he brought us 2 out to finish our meal. I have to say, these were better than the ones I've had at cafe beignet in NOLA. They were HOT out the fryer to the point where the powdered sugar was slightly melted. Crisp outside dough but gooey soft in the center. A unreal experience to end a fantastic meal. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Luckily my sister lives 5 mins from this place but I would easily drive a hour or 2 when visiting from out of town just for this experience. Marco and AB really went above and beyond to make sure this was a special outing on a regular ole' Monday, and we could not have left happier.

Is this a fully private club or not? Perhaps there was an ownership change?…read more *During* COVID (once the world started re-opening), this ... uh... spot ... was a welcome dive to stay low-key and get a well--poured drink from a witty and capable bartender. On my first visit, I inquired about "the room in the back." Was told that area was for Members Only (there was even a sign) AND was offered information on how to join if I desired. There were nothing but sporty White guys in there so I didn't sign up but passed the info along to some colleagues of mine who "fit in" better with their normal clientele. A few months later, _upon_ entering and offering a cheery hello to a different blonde-babe bartender with far less gravitas and friendliness, she responded with a brusque, "Are you a member?" That's it. No welcome. No offer to join. No upsell. Just a GTFOH vibe emanating from her pores. She added that she was new and they could be fined $3,000 if they let non-members in. Oh, she also attempted to *check* me stating that there are signs on the outside. There are not. The signs declaring privacy refer to the outside seating and the restrooms only. That's it. There's nothing special to offer and any axe to grind. Someone below had the same abrupt service upon entering without this mysterious, EMPTY, members-only bar. Oh, I can validate that the Taco Chula next door IS worth traveling to this strip mall for! The previous Owners (or the former bartender?) did allow it.

Cool place to visit. I would describe it as a bar with a cigar lounge built-in. The locals seemed…read morefriendly, and the bartender was nice. Plenty of televisions, a pool table, a cigarette machine, fully stocked bar and fun music. The cigar selection is small, but it has something for everybody. It's the standard bar/restaurant selection, Padron, Liga Privada, Cohiba, Arturo Fuente, Acids, Tabac, etc. The humidor seems to be kept and the right humidity. You select your stick and the bartender gets it/them out for you, I imagine this is a good way to keep people out of the humidor that don't need to be in there. The humidity in Florida is so high, I would imagine they also do this to keep RH levels solid. Props to the good ventilation, they were able to leave the front door open, and the smoke eaters do a really good job. All in all, it's a good time, like I said it's a busy bar, so expect some shenanigans, but it's all in good fun. It was a good chance to get out of this wind and smoke a cigar properly. I'll stop by again again.

We started with the crispy fish bites, and fish dip. The fish dip was one of my dining partner's picks, it was good but not something I'd order myself. The fish fingers were the standout, tempura fried grouper bites that tasted fresh and made from scratch, cooked perfectly. I split two taco dishes with one of my dining partners. She got the Korean BBQ short rib tacos and I got the crispy hogfish tacos, both were excellent. Honestly the portions were generous enough that we could have shared just one order between us, but we were celebrating so we went a little overboard. Ended up taking half of everything home, which was a nice bonus. Other people at the table got the pecan crusted salmon and the steak tips topped with lump crab, and both looked fantastic. Loved that they offer a range of sides too, from french fries to rice and beans to their signature crispy Tiki potato casserole, which was one of the best bites of the night. Service was great, our waitress was attentive and on top of everything all night. The atmosphere is unbeatable, sitting right on the water with such a great vibe. It was surprisingly crowded for a Monday night, which says a lot. Would definitely go back.

Somehow the combo just WORKS. Easily one of the best salads I've had in a while. Don't skip the brussels sprouts either, they're seriously so good. She went ahead and ordered the large for two people. That was shady, especially when we were asking about appetizers not full dish. Not knowing it was large we also ordered two main course. Of course we Couldn't finish our Main course, which was the cod and the burger. Then the cod under cooked. They took it back to the kitchen and just recooked my original dish. No acknowledgement on the missed order and the uncooked food. We were not thrilled. Will have to reconsider going back. There are other places in the neighborhood that have good food and service.

The room was a good size and had everything I needed, but the hotel feels a bit dated. Not ancient but definitely not trendy. Check-in was... memorable. The girl who checked me in had some very strong feelings about my employer, which gave me a little laugh and made for an interesting start to the stay. Parking garage is located across the way from the entrance. It's not a far walk by any means, but it did feel a little awkward hauling luggage and when I came back to the room late. I didn't feel unsafe for the record. The hotel also has a small restaurant on-site, but don't expect a complimentary breakfast. Overall, it was an OK place to stay for a work trip. I'd stay here again if I needed to, but it wouldn't be my first choice when I'm in the area.
