officially my favorite taco spot in west palm!…read more the food was amazing, the service was even better, and the person helping me was so kind while i waited. it was hot outside, so he even offered me something to drink, which i really appreciated. i had the birria tacos and the pork taco, and both were so good. i got everything to go this time, but i definitely want to come back and dine in. i also heard they have taco tuesday specials, so i'll definitely be checking those out.

We ordered a few cocktails, the El Segundo Classico, a classic margarita, and the Oaxaca Peach Old Fashioned made of blanco tequila and a bit of mezcal, very refreshing to start off with. Our servers recommended a few different menu items. The Pimento Cheese Elote Dip small plate was delicious. We then moved on to the tacos - the Brisket Burnt Ends, the Chicharron Ceviche, and the Cali Fish (my favorite). The Cali Fish was nicely fried and just a bit of heat and slightly sweet slaw. Also tried the Birria Tacos and the Burrito, both great. We loved sitting outside in front of the restaurant. There are few artist studios across the parking lot. I thought El Segundo was a solid 4.5/5.

We were in this plaza to check out another store and decided to stop here for lunch. They were very…read morepopular and busy during lunch hour. In fact, when we left all the booths were occupied plus half the other tables in the middle of the room. They gave us chips and salsa to start. The salsa was just okay. They had a number of lunch specials. We ordered from the combo section. I ordered a chalupa with ground beef without onions and chose the regular beans (vs the refried ones). I had to look up what a chalupa was... and basically it's a softer more bread like wrap. It was fried, so it was crispy on the outside and soft inside. The portion was large with melted cheese. Alongside was a small scoop of sour cream and one of guacamole. A mound of yellow rice and a small taco shell cup of red beans rounded out the plate. It was good, but fairly plain tasting. Adding some salt and salsa helped a bit. My husband got a combo with two different options. He wound up taking one part of his lunch home. His meal came with refried beans and yellow rice. I'm glad we came to try them. Now we know. Read less

From the outside, you wouldn't necessarily expect much, but the food was SO delicious! The portions are generous, everything we ordered was flavorful and fresh, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. Even better, the prices are really affordable for the amount and quality of food you get. We had such a great experience and will definitely be back. If you haven't tried Toreros yet, definitely add it to your list!

This was a really good find! Really delicious authentic burritos - a little pricey, but worth it…read morefor comparable options in the area. The burritos are wrapped and lightly grilled and the steak inside was authentic flavorful, and plenty. They also provide complementary chips with a little bit of salsa, which is always a plus. They have a very small indoor section with about two small tables and then a bigger patio section in the back. That's very colorful and lively. It looks like they might have a DJ or outdoor bar in the cooler months, but we visited during summertime and it was pretty hot and human back there but regardless still a vibe. This is a spot where you order at the counter and then they bring out your meal to your table. Everyone was super friendly here and quick. I would definitely recommend them and I will return when I'm in the area. I found them both on Google Maps and cross checked out with TikTok that had raved about this spot. 10 out of 10 for a casual burrito!

The food is very good. Everything was fresh, tasty, and nicely assembled. The food gets 5 stars,…read morehowever the atmosphere and some other factors are more like 3 stars to me... The music inside was loud, like uncomfortably so in my opinion. The indoor seating, of which there is very little, is tight and uncomfortable too. They've got very rustic outdoor seating, but who wants to be outside midday when it's hot and sticky? The trade off was loud music and a hard seat or outside in the heat - we chose inside for the A/C. Also, it's an order-at-the-counter type system. They will bring your order to the table, but you're clearing the dishes yourself. My guess is that this place works much better for those grabbing food to-go or via delivery.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but we had a very good start with the chips and salsa. For a Sunday…read moreevening, they had a pretty good crowd, which is always a good sign. I will say they could use a little better lighting, as the place does look a bit dated, but maybe that's the look they're going for. I've heard this restaurant has been here for about two years, and somehow we didn't know about it until a few weeks ago. Onto the main dishes! I had the Vaca Frita with white rice, black beans, and maduros, and everything was packed with great flavor. My wife had the Birria Tacos, and she said they were excellent. Of course, I had to try the consomme and what a mistake... because now I'm hooked line and sinker. It was so packed with flavor that I even started dipping my Vaca Frita in it. This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, and I mean that in the best possible way. Don't miss out on it! I've seen some people complaining about the gratuity already being included on the check. Stop whining and tip what you should. If you have a problem with tipping, don't go out to eat at a restaurant with waitress service. The additional tip option at the bottom of the receipt is simply there for those who want to leave the full 20% or more. If you don't feel they deserve anything extra, then leave it as is. We will definitely be coming back. The scary part is just how local and convenient this place is. Ha!

So a friend found this place based off their IG page so I was skeptical. I was even more skeptical…read morewhen I pulled into the parking lot which is quite dilapidated and many of the store fronts are empty. However, I know from traveling that some of the best spots are ones that appear to be a hole in the wall. I walked in, very cute inside! Staff was welcoming and I cozied right up at the bar to wait for my friend. I was immediately brought chips and salsa and a cold beer. We ended up sitting at a high top and our waitress suggested that I try either carne asada from the Mexican menu or Vaca Frita from the Cuban menu. I love me some carne asada but I was intrigued but this 'fried shredded beef' that was marinated in mole and cooked in a hot skillet until crispy. She suggested sweet plantains to go with it and white rice with beans which is traditional Cuban (instead of yellow rice). IT WAS FABULOUS! It was crispy on the outside and juicy. The mole was flavorful but not spicy and i appreciated that the meat was not dripping in sauce. My dinner date ordered chicken tamales which were seasoned in a Cuban style with yellow rice. She is used to Mexican tamales but said these really hit the spot! The only blemish on the nice was her second margarita which was the cucumber one which she didn't like at all. However, the first one she ordered (pictured) which was a different flavor was a show stopper.
