He had a taxi voucher for this company (three carbon copies) and the first driver yelled at him for not having the right copies in hand, so he left after attempting to charge $20 for not being ready for the pickup. Of course, the snowstorm hit with icy roads, etc, so his original plan for airport transport didn't work out. We called Seatac Airport Taxi the evening before, and they gave us the price up front, which was reasonable for a dependable professional driver. I asked about what vehicle would be used if there was ice on the road at 3 am (yes, I'm a MOM!!), and so they reviewed the expected conditions and called me back saying they would likely use a 4WD vehicle. The price was higher, but I appreciated them being up front about it. They took my Credit Card number at the time of the reservation, and charged at the time of pickup, including the tip, so there was no delay at the time of dropoff. The driver arrived right on time, the was friendly and conversant, and let our son know that the tip had already been paid when he offered it. He said it was a great experience! We are so thankful for folks who know their job and do it well - definitely worth it to pay a pro to do the driving, especially during inclement weather in the middle of the night! I was watching from my from my front door/balcony for the Stita Taxi & the driver was punctual, but, extremely rude. I live on the second floor of my apartments. As I stood in front of my door waiting I saw the Taxi driver on the main road. A few cars were still passing him, so, I ran inside my apartment & grabbed my bag & ran back downstairs to get into the vehicle. It wasn't even 2 minutes at most. It was less than 2 minutes.
