As someone who doesn't drink coffee it is sometimes difficult to be able to get warm drinks out that isn't just your run of the mill lipton black tea bag or chai concentrate. I make matcha usucha every day at home and sometimes I just want to enjoy something out. Coming here was perfect! I loved sitting in the relaxing atmosphere with my pot of wonderful genmaicha. No effort, all vibes. Everything was truly perfect, an excelent way to spend a lazy afternoon!

Unfortunately I didn't get to come in and see inside but I got to get a taste of what they had to offer. I've heard amazing things about this place and I've been wanting to come by to experience it myself. Not quite sure how their menu works but I did check out their instagram and seen they have seasonal drinks. The spring menu! I wanted to try each drink they had to offer because they sound so amazing but I chose to try one of their creamy matcha series drink. I got the passion fruit lemonade matcha, I am a sucker for passion fruit. This drink was amazing. I've never had anything like this before. So refreshing and flavorful, creamy and sweet. My cup was empty by the time it got into my hands. Definitely coming in to get the full experience after having a taste of that.
This lounge has such a warm and cozy vibe! The lighting is nice especially in the evenings. The customer service is always good. The first time I came here I got an Iced Vanilla Rooibos with oat milk and sweetener. OMG, it was soo good! I came back a couple weeks later and they didn't have the vanilla rooibos anymore. So I got a lavender tea latte. It was good, but the vanilla rooibos was my fave! There is street parking. It's free usually after 6 p.m. The lounge is located in the very cool Sunstereo Warehouse right on Fulton.
My best friend wanted to hangout for my late bday celebration and she had asked me to choose a place. We both love matcha and I've been wanting to visit and learn how to make matcha so I thought this place would be a great little girls date. I made reservations on their website. We arrived Saturday probably 5mins before our noon reservations. Lucky found parking right in front of the Sun Stereo Warehouse. There was no one there at the time we arrived but people started to trickle in a few mins after we got seated. We didn't know what to expect and how to order until we realized we ordered so much TEA!!! lol so we did The Isla Experience to share comes with 3 tea samples, 1 solo pot, 1 savory and 1 sweet nibble. Tea: Jasmine, Earl Grey and oolong were our choices. The jasmine smelled beautiful, the oolong was good and but the Earl Grey was our favorite! They served it with a side of honey and sugar cubes. The food was amazing. My friend and I shared the pesto turkey cheddar crossiant comes with a salad and it was delicious!! Perfectly toasted and the pesto was good portion was definitely large enough to share. The salad was fresh and the dressing was phenomenal. For the sweet we chose Tao's cheese cake per recommendation and it was delicious. Didn't realized the In house matcha ceremony was a separate thing so we also ordered 2 of that, hence we had so much tea!!! lol The lady who assisted us with the In house matcha ceremony was kinda and we definitely went through it quickly lol she didn't rush us but it was definitely a quick experience. Pouring all the ingredients together and mixing it and BAM DONE! lol we opted into oat milk as well. Wish there was more matcha flavor, felt the was just too much oat milk but it was a good drink regardless. Overall it was such a fun experience, we had a great time and the food and tea were amazing!!!! We had so much tea I felt over caffeinated I was shaking lol would definitely love to return!
I've been to Isla Tea Lounge a few times now, and it's definitely a vibe. The space itself is well-decorated, the lighting is ambient, and it's definitely a community and work space. As for the service, I've done the matcha ceremony before and spoken with the owners, and everyone is super sweet. They were very helpful with the ceremony and made good recommendations for food. I really appreciate spaces like these, especially since they care a lot about their craft. Definitely recommend for post-dinner drinks or a study sesh.

I'm not familiar with downtown so it took me a few trips around the block until I finally pulled over and looked in help. GPS stopped me on Inyo, but it's off of Fulton. Isla Tea Lounge is inside the building Sun Stereo Warehouse. You will not see a sign on the outside other than on the glass which lists what businesses are inside. I finally pulled over and someone else's review mentioned Sun Stereo. My rating is based solely on my drink. I ordered the caramel toffee matcha and it was delicious. $13 is pricey for a drink. ($12 plus $1 tax. Paid $14.80 with 15% tip. ) On a side note, someone was having a salad when I went to order and it looked good! Would definitely go back to try their food.

Came here for karaoke night with friends. The vibes were so immaculate. Very chill laid back also had a spot to charge my phone on the wall. Super awesome staff as well so nice and welcoming. They have the tea leaves for display to smell. I loved my chai it wasn't too spicy either very sweet.
I've been a few times to this great space, but the last 2 times I've attended their r&b night in which they have a dj and are open later at night. The event is about 3 hours with chill r&b mixes and you can order from their menu and their late night menu. I've also done the ceremonial matcha and it's fun! The matcha is good too. My favorite is the strawberry matcha. The coconut matcha is good, more refreshing. Their yuzu cheesecake is 10/10!! Gyozas are yummy too with some greens underneath. The space is welcoming, calm perfect for a chill hangout/date. This 2nd time for dj night, the music was louder than last time. Just be aware the ambiance is more poppin/louder than a regular time there. The owners are awesome. Great hospitality! They created something great for Fresno and the Central Valley.
Wonderful place to sit and relax and enjoy some quality tea. This woman owned business has set a standard here in Fresno that's giving warm and inviting place to hang out and enjoy the cool vibes. I haven't seen another place like this in town and I'm happy it's here to stay. We got to experience matcha making tonight with the yelp elite and got to try different flavors, my favorite was strawberries and cream and the coconut matcha. There's plenty of space to sit and talk maybe even grab a bite to eat. They have local entertainment at night time so make sure you follow their social media to keep an eye on what's going on. The 2 woman who own and operate the business are super nice and sweet and know a lot of the matcha making process and the culture. I highly recommend stopping by.

Definitely one of Fresno's hidden gems for tea enthusiasts. My first time here was for one of their tea & yoga events. It was a well structured event which they offered a hot lavender cream welcome tea, iced vanilla matcha, & a lavender bouquet after yoga. The atmosphere is cozy with welcoming & enthusiastic owners. They host multiple different events weekly which creates a unique space for Fresno's community to join in. I'm also really stoked about their late hours for night owls like myself who crave a matcha or warm tea late at night when nothing is open. Hours: Closed Monday, Tuesday 11am-10pm, Wednesday-Saturday 11am-Midnight, Sunday 11am-10pm. A place that was definitely needed in the Fresno community. We will be coming back to try more of their menu & future events!

Their specialty drinks are more than I'd like to pay for, but they are really good and the presentation is nice. I love how the place is set up as it feels nice and cozy with things to do while you wait for food. I did feel that their kuro velvet had a bit too much black sesame for my liking, but the saga fog was really good (both with matcha instead of hojicha). The turkey cheddar croissant sandwich with pesto and side salad was really good though and I would definitely get it again with the saga fod. read more
The cutest tea spot in Fresno! I tried their seasonal drink - the Saga Fog and loved it! You can customize it to have either matcha or hojicha so I chose matcha. My family and I had such a wonderful time at the tea lounge. The staff are so kind and took their time explaining different menu items. My sister-in-law did the matcha ceremony and she is experienced with matcha but I am not so if I ever do want to try matcha I would do that experience. The directions they gave were so good you could do it at home if you had the supplies (it was not only a how but a why). I had did the Isla experience and I can't wait to go back with girlfriends for a lunch date. Highly recommend! I think one of the gals I talked to was the owner, I asked about what brand of cheese they used on their charcuterie plate and she gave me some since it was only from the distributors. I want to thank my friend Suevia for getting the gals together from high school to Isla Tea. I've been meaning to check this place out and was excited to come. What an inviting space for some tea. Located downtown in the Sunrise Stereo, there is street parking. I was greeted by one of the owner who was super friendly and broke down the menu for me since it was my first time. The order: I ordered the Tea Flight, you pick 3 tea flavors. I got the gemaicha , chai, and China black. Wonderful rich flavors from the tea leaves. I can tell they are pretty good quality tea. The aromatics from each tea were so fragrant and nice. Each with its very distinctive tea. They order comes with sugar cubes and honey as sweeteners. You add to your liking on the side. It comes with creamer as well. The display was beautiful. Each with its own teapot that's so dainty and beautiful. You also get one free refill for each tea. I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience. Restroom is located in the same building. This tea lounge is cozy, comfortable, and inviting. I saw someone studying and doing homework. Another group playing board game. So this space is great for all. Definitely recommend coming here and will be returning in the future. read more

Inside was very minimalistic but very yea house coded. The service was great. The girl explained all the teas for us and how they would taste. I would pass on the charcuterie board, it was quite plain and basic. Order the butternut beignets! They are soooooo goood and it pared well with some teas! Super happy that this place exists in Fresno! Stopped by on a Sunday evening to get some work done on my laptop. I ordered a solo tea pot of chamomile and the charcuterie board. With tea, there is an option of honey, sugar and creamer. Everything tasted good, no complaints whatsoever. I enjoyed every detail about Isla Tea Lounge: the vibe, music, ambiance, tea, food, service and community feel in the Sun Stereo Warehouse. There are various seating configurations, which make it perfect for any occasion: studying, solo time, group hang or a date. The best part is that it's open late, which makes it a great alternative to hanging out at a bar. Housekeeping: -Counter service: place an order, enjoy your goodies, then pay when you're done. -Restrooms are shared with the whole building and located in the main hallway. I love high tea but this Asian style is soo cute! In the Isla tea sampler set you can choose 3 teas; I chose sencha, Jasmine, and lavender. In the set, it comes with sugar cubes, honey, and creamer. Out of the 3 samplers, you get to pick which one you want as your solo pot o tea which I chose the lavender. The set also comes with 1 savory and 1 sweet nibbles. So I picked the charcuterie spread as my savory (crackers, 3 cheeses, nuts, grapes, Italian meats, olives, and Gouda chips), and yuzu-berry cheesecake as my sweet--big enough to share with 2 ppl. My friend picked a different savory and sweet so that we could share: tuna cucumber sandwich with side salad and açaí bowl. We were so full off of tea and food so I would say this place is worth every penny! The decor is pretty minimalistic and veers on Japanese style. The owner who helped us is very friendly and helpful as well! No wonder my friend comes here weekly. I think it's a great concept and love that they open late. read more

Isla is such a cool hidden spot located in the Sun Stereo Warehouse in Tower!! We got a strawberry cream matcha & banana matcha-- both of which were a solid 5/5!! You could taste the matcha but it isn't as strong as other spots that I've tried. Staff was wonderful and there's usually some type of event going on which is so cool! (events can be found on the Instagram) $12 each was a little pricey for the drinks, but the experience was really nice and I will be back! There are a lot of cheaper drinks and the food/dessert menu had a lot of great options as well. They're also open until ten (most days) and the lounge looks so pretty at night and it gets much more crowded later in the day. Definitely a great spot for a date/hangout/whatever. I wish I knew about Isla sooner!! read more

Came for the first time tonight for my friends birthday. There is lots of space for people here and different seating accommodations. We sat on the space that allowed us to sit low to the floor, and felt like a traditional tea experience We opted in for the isla experience, which offers 3 tea samples, one savory sandwich item that comes with a salad. (Bomb) at the end you are offered the choice of picking a larger tea pot to try as well as a dessert option The tea experience is offered at 33 dollars, and I felt like that it was worth it. Each tea tasted like a warm hug. I tried the lavender, peppermint and chai tea. I enjoyed the lavender so much I got it in the larger tea pot as well (you can choose any if you'd liked they have many options) The salad was delicious and I devoured the tuna sandwich, I wasn't sure what to expect but i got more than what I had initially thought I'd get which was a huge win. For dessert I had the Teagato which was a vanilla ice cream slowly topped with a tea of choice. It was delicious, Overall service was sweet, kind, attentive and informative. Felt okay to ask questions which is awesome. I plan on returning here and enjoying my time here once more. read more
Located in the Sun Stereo Warehouse, you'll find this cute gem! With a cozy interior and plenty of seating, this is a perfect place to hangout with friends, study, or have some self-care time. They have books and games on some shelves that are free to utilize during your time there. They have an offering of 9 core teas, with some rotating seasonal special teas on a board near the register. You can get these teas to go, in a solo teapot, or if you can't decide what tea to get, you can get a flight! If you're a matcha lover like me, they also have matcha. My boyfriend and I got their tea flight and their matcha ceremony! If you get the tea flight, you get your choice of 3 teas in mini teapots. It comes with sugar cubes and milk. For our 3 teas, we opted for the jasmine, chai, and oolong (which was off-menu). All 3 were great! For the matcha ceremony, they guide you through how to make a matcha including sifting the matcha and whisking it to make the perfect foam. They ask if you want it the traditional way or as a latte, I opted for the latte. They asked my choice of milk (regular or non-dairy) and I chose non-dairy! Be wary though, the non-dairy option they provided was almond milk. They may have other non-dairy options, but if you have a nut allergy, be sure to ask if they have other non-dairy options. They also have a simple syrup that you can add for extra sweetness to the matcha. Overall, this place is sooooo cool and a great addition to the Fresno coffee/tea scene. They really don't have anywhere else like this in Fresno. The vibes are so welcoming, the staff is so friendly, and the tea is great! I'd definitely do their tea flight again. This tea lounge feature the Traditional Matcha Tea Ceremony which I think is kinda cool DIY. Great for a date night out with your significant other or friends. The owners are informative and high energy. Beautiful also so if you like all things pretty and down to earth. This is a great place to hang and chill out. The matcha can be on the strong side but added flavors like strawberry and banana make it taste really good! read more

Okay, the prices here are unbeatable. I really don't like matcha too much because it tastes like the earth. Yes yes, in a sense that is what it's suppose to taste like. However, I did come in for the In-House Tea Ceremony and had a chai matcha, and it was sooooo good. I can say there was no earthy taste. This was some high quality matcha. The chai blended so nicely together. & It's truly a wonderful experience. You are patiently walked through each step. & No upcharge for milk substitutes? You won't be finding that anywhere else. & The cookie butter filled beignets? Oh. I had them Sunday, and been having them since today, Wednesday. & I'm gonna be thinking about these things forever. a cozy teahouse tucked away in downtown Fresno. I love the relaxed atmosphere that invites you to stay a while, coupled with activities that are provided on site ( coloring, painting and some board games) the space is very much welcoming. I also enjoyed the tea and the presentation of them. Can't wait to bring more friends here. read more

One of the best matcha lattes I've had so far in Fresno! I love how green it is. I like my matcha on the sweeter side so I did ask for 125% sweetness. Could definitely just gotten it at 100% but since it was my first time, wanted to make sure I got my sweet fixings in. Inside was cute, quiet and cozy! Staff was nice and helpful and when I had a few questions to ask. Definitely recommend this spot and will be returning again soon! read more

Invited to experience a tea lounge. I'd never been to one. The space is inside the Sunset Stereo bldg across from Tioga in the brewery district. The space has exposed brick, beautiful decor and is very spacious. The owners, two best friends, were very nice and we were able to make our own matcha tea as they walked us through each step. We tried other delicious teas as well. The teas were served in cut ceramic cups of all colors and designs, very fun. It's definitely the type of place for a girls day out. Great vibe! On Wednesday nights they have a DJ from 8:30-11pm playing R&B. I highly recommend it. read more

This tea shop is located downtown. It shares a building with a few other cool spots. Upon walking into this serene beautiful building I noticed their stained glass. I was greeted immediately by a kind young woman I believed to be the owner. She was so sweet and informed us she didn't have menus yet. She showed us on her phone and all the different tea flavors they have. I chose my go to chai. It was really different but so good. It had a little stronger flavor but I loved it. Now I believe they have food to offer. I need to go back and try that along with a pot. Definitely a cool new spot to try if you're downtown. read more

We tried several teas, matcha experience, and I got the pesto pizza with salad. The dressing was surprisingly delicious and different than what I've had. Had a sweat but not overpowering sweat flavor. The matcha ceremony is definitely a must. The service was great. Not overwhelming but also there when we needed it. Brought my sisters and my mom here who are all tea connoisseurs and they loved it! We did the tea flight and our favorite was the chai tea. They had many food options to choose from as well, ranging from sweet to savory. We got the charcuterie board which included a good amount of crackers and cheese for the 4 of us. My favorite part was the matcha experience. The owner of the store is so sweet -- she provided us with all the ingredients for the matcha latte and went step by step of how to make the perfect matcha latte! Definitely recommend adding this experience if you plan on visiting :) read more

I have been her a few times now. The first time I went they had recently opened so they were just getting going and didn't have too many people in the cafe. The last few times I've gone, they've definitely gotten more popular. Rightfully so. They have great tea blends and their matcha ritual is neat. They have coloring books and reading materials you can borrow while there. I've gone with friends and it's a great place to chat. It'd also be a nice place to study or do work. They are always super nice and welcoming. The price is a little steep for tea. However, you're also paying for the ambiance and experience tbh. They also have a lot of events they host. Great addition to the sunstereo warehouse in downtown Fresno! read more
