The layout is fantastic and looks like it can hold a solid rage. Avoid this Venue at all costs. We just had a scheduled meeting to go over our venue details a month before our event. (They said we could only schedule it for a month before). When we arrived, we were under the impression that we were booked for the larger room as our guest count was... well, large. They then told us the would be cramming us into two smaller rooms instead. Why? Well they over booked their venue and were trying to sell us on these two smaller rooms. Obviously we have to now find another location A MONTH BEFORE OUR EVENT. They then had the audacity to say that our deposit was non refundable. They were very rude and unprofessional to say the least. Listen to the other reviews. They are not worth your time or money. I had my wedding here on August 9 2014 & I was completely amazed on how beautiful it turned out :) They even added some extra decorations that made it stand out even more. I have driven by this place a number of times and never really knew what it was until my niece got married here. It's not real big but it sure is a nice place and the price for what they got was what I consider a good deal. The wedding area was clean and very nice, the reception area the same, the only thing that I would complain about is the beer selection, no DosXX or Sol We'll for what it's worth from a guys angle it was very nice and would recommend this place. Beyond happy with how our Wedding turned out. By far they have the best pricing and the convenience that they take care of every single thing from set up to tear down. Management worked with us on pricing as well. Rosa was the best and helped us the most. Unfortunately she couldn't always commit to things she always had to ask management and I think that's were the communication gaps occurred. Very elegant. We brought in minimal signs or candles to add to tables. They have all kinds of decorations to choose from. You can definitely make your event very unique and your own style. They also let us use added props without extra cost the day of since they were lingering around. Lighting makes a huge difference to make your photos pop! When my husband and I were looking for our wedding venue, we toured The Loft Events and it was a no brainer that we needed to have our special day here. Not only is it a beautiful and spacious venue, but The Loft Events made the wedding planning easier than I could ever imagined. Ana and Sonia were wonderful to work with, they always replied to emails within a timely manner and were very thorough in making sure that all the fine details were taken care of. Our guests were extremely impressed with the beautiful center pieces and décor. I cannot imagine a more perfect day, and I am so thankful we chose The Loft Events. While looking for a venue to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary, we were hesitant about the Loft because the mixed reviews. As soon as we booked the venue, we knew we picked the right place. After a change in management, we received nothing but help from Sonia. She was absolutely wonderful and so accommodating on 6/14/19. After finding out she had only been hired 3 weeks prior, I was completely shocked. She handled her job so eloquently and went above and beyond to help out with anything she could. read more

Lovely event venue. Good place for a prom or winter formal. Lots of room to move around. Nice decor. The ladies who own this place will work with your needs. I was uncertain about this venue based on the reviews. I did not go there with high expectations specifically due to reviews. I have to say they were actually pretty good. They treated us well. They were flexible with us. They were generous enough to allow us an extra hour in the morning to set up. They were even more generous with allowing us to use the bigger room based on a certain guest count. The best of all, they surprisingly added a couple items to our package to make everything more beautiful! I never really experienced negativity with them. They were pretty patient with us. They work like a business. I'll admit they were strict and structured. They followed the proper protocol. I didn't mind them being strict because they were just looking out for their business such as making sure the fees are appropriate and payment is due on time. They were also flexible with a few other things. I'd say they were pretty fair. As far as the appearance, the venue was absolutely stunning!!! We received many compliments on how beautiful and elegant the venue was!! We loved having our wedding here! At the end of the night, we were worried about the security being super strict and charging us a $400 fee for going over on time but we hustled and got out maybe 30min late and the security guards and staff were not hurrying or rushing us, they seemed very helpful and understanding with guiding us in clean up. I'd say we had an overall good experience here. I'd recommend them. They were nice to us. read more

After months of calling and even dropping by the venue, they called three days before our scheduled event trying to work out the final details. At that point we had already switched venues. I coordinated a luncheon here for my organization in October 2012. The venue is beautiful, and location great (Tower / near Downtown). My decision to choose The Loft came from my desire to get away from outdated spots like TorNino's (terrible food, by the way) and to put our money toward downtown-area businesses. Great venue - perfect almost... but... terrible service. And rude. Gina who runs The Loft is not a very savvy business woman. She obviously doesn't know what a customer needs, and neglects to give all necessary details. The Loft can't even provide white linens for their tables. What does that mean? It means we have to find an outside vendor for linens, and even an outside vendor for catering! We used the Painted Table who were very professional and helpful, but seriously - with the amount we paid to The Loft, couldn't they have organized that for us? I understand they don't have a kitchen, but at least handle the catering for me! And seriously - buy linens! It's like a skeleton in there. You have to fill the entire thing yourself - which gets incredibly costly. They have centerpieces that you can rent from them (so unnecessarily expensive), but I found they don't have enough for all the tables we were using. We brought in our own centerpieces, but we did order two candles per table. To top it off - they never lit the damn candles. Gina apologized to us, but still charged us for the candles. One last "are you kidding me?!" They don't have a PA system. Blink Blink Blink. What?! So we had to bring in that, as well. Gina is definitely not flexible with set up schedule prior to the event, and parking is a nightmare. I would never recommend this place to a friend, organization, or business to patron them until Gina changes her attitude and they amend the prices. read more

DO NOT USE THE LOFT!!!!!! Had my wedding novmber 15 2014 Horrrible management....rosie should be retrained or fired. She screwed up several differnt things and acts like its no big deal. We paid for centerpieces and the were incomplete...which she blamed on us, a lie. The linens were all stained. Then I purchased a bar package which she ruined yet again. I spoke to her on three different occasions that i would have tickets for the free drinks. She allowed the bar to give free drinks during the cocktail hour and so the tickets I gave out no longer worked. Even when she knew the exact number of seats 2 weeks before she ran out of charger plates...and was gonna just let it fly until a famliy memeber who was there in the am spotted it and made her go buy the remaining plates. Oh and not to mention the power went out on the band, not her fault I guess but just another failure. If this is your absolute last option as it was for us then just make sure you take a spanish speaker with u and i wish you luck! Its sad she ruins such a great venue...the building is great. Expensive and to be treated the way rosie treats people is just wrong. read more

While this place was lovely and beautiful. I'm choosing to give it 2 stars. On the day of my brother's wedding, the coordinator went out as to being so rude to the soon to be newly married minutes before starting their ceremony by bringing up a review they have received from them. Poor handling on professionalism. Comments about their review could've waited after the event was done rather than out in public for the whole wedding party to hear as the ceremony was about to start. And then to know that if we left any sort of scrap that were party favors or decor behind, we'll get charged extra? That's just BS. No venue I've been to were ever that petty as to cleaning up the tables but charge for small (I'm talking about Hershey kisses small) trash. Beautiful venue and I love that everything is already decorated. My husband and I live in SoCal and our family is from Fresno so this worked out perfectly for us... so we thought. However, whenever my husband and I would go in to meet with them and ask questions about certain things concerning how the wedding would look like on the day of, we always got unconfirmed answers and they always told us they'd confirm with the manager and let us know next time. Every time! We met with them 4 times and each time we were left uncertain. We travel 6 hours each time to meet them and we're left with questions? That's a no-no right there. A month before my wedding I was suppose to have everything FINALIZED! I was suppose to have a "Final Meeting" (as stated in their contract) to finalize the details but that never happened. The lady who I was suppose to meet with (Stacey) couldn't make it so I had to meet with a different worker there. I was still left with question marks everywhere and I wasn't able to pay off the venue because of it. 2 weeks before my wedding I email them again about my concerns and paying off the rest of the venue and they inform me that the lady who'd been "working" on my wedding (Stacey) was let go. But no one let me know if this?! It's 2 weeks before my wedding and "I" had to contact you in order for you to tell me this?! I was furious! I was finally able to finalize the details of my wedding within the week but everything was chaotic! I had a certain vision for my wedding but because I was never told the full details of their policy I had to change everything around. At one point the manager got very frustrated with me, which I can understand since I kept changing things around, but in my defense they never updated me about my wedding, I had to change the whole schedule of my wedding 2 weeks prior to it, and I felt that in my case they should've been more flexible given the fact that they were in the wrong. During my set up time I had to ask them over and over again about details of my venue since it did not look like what we had agreed on. My tables were mixed up, there was no room for the caterer, and I did not get "a sign outside the building with the bride and grooms names showing guests where to enter." Even on the day of our wedding I was told by the manager that the bar would be open at 2pm (the time the guests arrive). My husband and I arrived at 3pm and my maid of honor came to tell us the bar was not open until 4pm?! That was not what we agreed on. After talking to the people at the bar they finally opened the bar to our guests. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend this place. Spend your money elsewhere. The place is nice and pretty and can go with any theme or event anyone is planning, the problem is the price. They nickel and dime you for everything and the revolving door of people who work there is quite unsettling. Makes the ownership look like they don't know what they are doing and very unsure of themselves when it comes to what they want. If you're having an event there in the 9 out of 12 months that its hot in Fresno then you better have it in writing that the banquet space will be cool when your guests arrive. Parking is not so great also but it is the tower district so that should be a given that your guests will have to park on a side street. Overall it's pretty inside and clean. read more

Well, this event was a wedding reception which when everyone arrived at 5pm after a 4pm church wedding, the place was all locked up and guests had to stand outside in pretty cool weather and wait about 10 minutes for someone to finally open the door. While waiting outside, I thought it was a little strange and maybe disturbing that there were like six security guards. This is the tower district so was a little surprised at the amount of security but what do I know. Then the topper, the female guard announced that all women need to open their purses as they would be checking all purses. What is this a sporting event. Now I'm not judging other groups, but this was a pretty tame group of elderly and basic middle class people. Then when we finally got in, everyone wanted to get their tables and put purses down but no, can't go in the main room, have to stay in the bar, appetizer area. Ok, that wasn't too bad as a glass of wine was more than welcomed. On a more positive note the rooms are nice and quite large for a 300 person wedding. The tables were nicely arranged and the whole room looked pretty good. This was a buffet dinner and the dinner is set up in a separate room. The bathrooms were pretty messy about 3 hours in so that wasn't very good. I'm not sure how this ranks price wise with other venues and also not sure of the overall budget for the bride and groom with this many people, but when my daughters wedding arrives this will not be the location! read more

We used them for our company holiday party and the experience was not something I would expect from a nice looking venue. The staff seemed to have issues communicating with each other and in using their contracted caterer by Limon was less than stellar to say the least. They served our guests in a buffet and portioned the food inconsistently. They need to train their staff and be more consistent with portions. We had some our guests receiving 3 pieces of vegetables while some of our guests saw the staff afterwards with full plates of food. The bar was another issue. We prepaid for our guests to have drink tickets with a value of $6 each. The bartenders were only accepting the drink tickets for wine and beer only not for mixed drinks. They should of taken the tickets as a credit toward their mixed drink and have the guest pay the difference. They were not happy. We thought we could receive better service since we booked the venue so early in the year. If your planning any type of event. Please consider something else. I think they seem to be going through staffing changes at this time. read more

Awesome venue!! Even more awesome staff!!!!! We had our event for my moms big 60th birthday bash this past Saturday 3/18/1017 at the lofts! This place is simply amazing!! So beautiful first of all!!! and all of our guests were blown away. But more importantly the staff was unbelievable! They were great and made everything stress free and was so extremely helpful in every aspect! From the initial meetings and phone calls Stacey was on point and always available, prompt from the phone calls to emails! I mean they really did great I can't say enough! Rosa and rosey were awesome!! Rosey the loft director created some flowers for us in two days for some of our center peices, I was blown away! They were accommodating for all the set up we had to do and allowed us extra time to do it when they did not have too. Thank you ladies for that you are the best! The maintenance staff was also super awesome Roberto and Veronica went above and beyond for us also! Helping us move our own furniture and even using his own truck on his break to help us move some items! We as a family can't thank the loft enough for all they did to make this day amazing for such a great women, our mother! 10 stars !!!!! read more

Mixed feelings about the place. One pro: pretty venue. Cons: 1. Overpriced (you still have to provide a lot of your own stuff costing you more $$, unless you purchase their upsale packages/decor costing you more $$ again). 2. Bad customer service (they don't really care about your event, they just want the sale). 3. Poor consultation (lack of sharing event planning knowledge). 4. Very strict on policies (decorating time, kicking ppl out 30 min after end time, etc). Overall we made the event memorable but we mainly had negative vibes from the staff. Felt restricted on flexibility of running things and the staff & owner were not open to us. At one point during consultation they were speaking Spanish to each other. Unprofessional. One of our friends who looks white but understands Spanish was there with us and she told us about their shady discussions. My family & I visit the loft events by appointment to view the venue for my cousins quince. We were told that our date was available, so we decided to book it that day, come to find out that date was already booked. Okay so they talked us into moving the date so finally we said ok moved the date. We came back to put our deposit down and they were not able to book us because they didn't have time so they rescheduled our appointment to a few days later. Okay remind you this is our 3rd time going, to finalize the date they told us to switch to. They bring out our contract as we're reading over it another girl comes out and tells us "this date is already book turns out my manager booked this date back in January" ... wait what? So the manager didn't have any communication what so ever with her employees since JANUARY, it is now MARCH 28TH. She kept repeating that her manager has been out of town for 2 weeks and that's why she didn't know. But she had this booked since January. The lady proceeded to say "well the point is you guys have not gave any money down so the day is not yours" VERY UNPROFESSIONAL & did not apologize at all not even once. She was super rude and I will never recommend this place to anyone. If you guys have to do your event in your backyard I would recommend that before coming here. read more

I am a chiropractor in the Tower District and often host health related workshops in my office. As the size of my workshops has outgrown my office space, I looked for someplace local that could serve as a venue, and found The Loft Events. Wow, what a great spot for events, meetings, weddings, parties! The venue itself is beautiful and modern, and the service of the owners was wonderful. I was well attended to, everything was set up and arranged as necessary and promised, and the event went smoothly. Many of my guests commented on how nice the venue was! The best kept secret in Fresno! We rented The Loft for our corporate event in September utilizing both the larger and smaller rooms. The experience and customer service were excellent. The interiors are modern and something you would expect in L.A. or the Bay Area. We worked with an outside caterer and The Loft was very cooperative in accommodating any special requests. Although the Tower District may not be everyone's first choice for a larger indoor event, I am happy to have discovered The Loft because I plan to recommend this venue to my friends and colleagues. I had my daughters quinceañera here Jan 28. I booked a year in advance and Mayra was very helpful even sounded just as excited as I was. The closer my event was approaching the more nervous I became. Within 2 mos of my event all my vendors called me to confirm final details but The Loft didn't want me to come in until 3 weeks before my event. My caterer was even concerned that center pieces, colors etc haven't been selected. Getting ahold of someone was the worst part of all. Finally I sat down with Stacey to go over final details. The meeting was not what I had expected. It was more like "What else do you want". I've never planned an event like this, so I imagined I would be given options or ideas. I guess was expecting a little more guidance. When I left after my first meet I felt very uncomfortable as if a lot of details were left out I just could't think of what they were hoping it was under control. I wanted piece of mind and did not get that feeling at all. I made some changes but getting someone to answer was so frustrating. One night I was literally numb in bed just overly stressed on whether or not everything was ok with my Venue. 1 of 5 phone calls were answered. When I finally got a hold of someone to go through the final details Stacey had me waiting outside for 20 minutes. I was also told the dancing on a cloud machine was fine even though the contract said no fog machine. I contracted someone to bring the machine and just to be told the smoke alarm was "extremely sensitive" and would go off immediately causing an evacuation. The owner even wanted to challenge me she said basically go ahead and use the machine but if I want to take the risk of the fire dept being called I'd have to pay an expensive fine. She knew I would not take the risk but it just felt as she was trying to intimidate me. The party came out beautiful and all my guests were amazed but I would never refer a friend a family member because I would not want someone to go through the stress of not being able to get someone to pick up or return calls/emails right away. My vendors also said how beautiful the place is however they said it was too strict compared to places like The Grand or The Falls. As soon as my event was over I was so relieved not to deal with the stress and not ever deal with the loft again. read more
