We've been up there for trainings for our Dog. My wife and I live in the East Bay but we've been…read morewilling to travel up to Sonoma for trainings because we've really enjoyed the different service dog trainings, especially the ones offered by Brian Gallindo. We've done two different classes and our dog has enjoyed them. The place is a very nice, new and well-done facility in Healdsburg. It's easy to find via Google Maps and there's a plenty of space to walk and train dogs. We've never tried their pet adoption operations but when we're there it seems to be a pretty good environment.

I am a veterinary professional and this shelter is hands down, the best and most caring facility…read morethat I've ever been to. We adopted our dog there and Gabe is one of the most caring, knowledgeable and kind professionals that I've met. His first priority is the wellbeing of the animals in their charge. He is worth his weight in gold and a wonderful source of animal behavioral knowledge. Secondly, our cat disappeared in May of 2017 and after doing everything we could to find him, we feared the worst. Months went by and we relocated from Sonoma County to the Central Coast. We were shocked to receive a call from Gabe, letting us know that our cat was found, and he was able to locate us thanks to a microchip. FOLKS, MICROCHIPS WORK! But remember to always have your information current! Because we live much farther away, the staff, and especially Alison the AMAZING Shelter Director were all very accommodating and patient about us getting to Healdsburg to retrieve him, because it fell on a Holiday weekend. In the meantime they kept communication ongoing, and because our cat was underweight, they were especially concerned for his health and did everything they could to find something palatable to help him eat. Our kitty is now home and thriving again. Healdsburg is SO fortunate to have such a beautiful afacility and such a caring staff for the local animal population!

The other day I was coming home from Lake County going down hwy.20, when one of Redwood Empire…read moreVineyard's dump truck with transfer was merging onto hwy.20 coming from Potter Valley. I let him in, within about 5 seconds of him being on hwy. 20 I see the rock come from top of back trailer and hit my window. Windshield has huge Crack in it. I immediately started flashing my lights at the truck driver in hopes he would pull over, I followed him to hwy. 101 south bound, continuing to flash lights. Nothing. I pulled next to his truck and got the company information and called as this was happening. I spoke with a woman and gave her truck information along with mine. She tells me she will get someone to get back to me. Finally, following day I get a phone call from "Elliah" and tells me that unfortunately their insurance doesn't cover damage coming off their trucks. I watched it happen, smh. It's unfortunate that people & companies like this are in business! I have since filed in small claims, and is going to cost them much more than a $300 window! It would have been so much easier for her to call me acknowledging the situation and say she's sorry for what happened and say let's get this fixed! Stay away from their trucks, and probably think twice about doing business with this company!

We usually get folks to treat us a little better as we donate to the community. Anyway, Josh, the area manager came out and said he could do it next Weds., quoted me a hourly rate, and last thing he said he will "put it on the board" - meaning the schedule. I have a short term rental on the property that's rented by guests or members almost every day. I blocked off 3 days for this work, he was a no show and said he could not do it "until November". Which he knows is beyond time for planting. I lost 600 or so in income, and not only that, he called me a liar that we had a deal, a liar as to people coming to stay, and that he was recording (illegally) the phone call. I wrote an email to the management and not a single word back. They are so impressed with their own integrity according to there web site, but they are just another phony company making fake asses of themselves.
