The staff is amazing as well. They offer clinics with low prices for vaccines as well as neutering/spaying services. They actually care more about taking care of the dogs than making a buck like the human society. That place used to be affordable but now it's all about making a profit. I hope to volunteer at these place one day and be a part of such a great establishment.

We went to an adoption event with quite a few dogs available. After walking around and talking to the volunteers, who were all fantastic, we were drawn to a small white and beige dog. We wanted an adult dog, and we found out, the young pup was 6 years old. She was initially shy, but could tell she was very sweet. We picked her and she picked us. We adopted her, and Miss Rita is the sweetest dog we have ever had living with us. The entire adoption process and care they give the dogs were fantastic. You can tell they have compassion and love with all the dogs. I would highly recommend you take a look at them for adoption of these wonderful furry friends.

They're not only have human food but they also have pet food programs sometimes diapers wipes. If you are in need to reach out to them if they can't help you they'll find someone. If you're looking for somewhere to volunteer they take people pretty much of any ages smaller kids need to be with their parents there's so many opportunities to volunteer it's physical labor so I considered a work out for the day.

My wife and I live in the East Bay but we've been…read morewilling to travel up to Sonoma for trainings because we've really enjoyed the different service dog trainings, especially the ones offered by Brian Gallindo. We've done two different classes and our dog has enjoyed them. The place is a very nice, new and well-done facility in Healdsburg. It's easy to find via Google Maps and there's a plenty of space to walk and train dogs. We've never tried their pet adoption operations but when we're there it seems to be a pretty good environment.

We adopted our dog there and Gabe is one of the most caring, knowledgeable and kind professionals that I've met. His first priority is the wellbeing of the animals in their charge. He is worth his weight in gold and a wonderful source of animal behavioral knowledge. Secondly, our cat disappeared in May of 2017 and after doing everything we could to find him, we feared the worst. Months went by and we relocated from Sonoma County to the Central Coast. We were shocked to receive a call from Gabe, letting us know that our cat was found, and he was able to locate us thanks to a microchip. FOLKS, MICROCHIPS WORK! But remember to always have your information current! Because we live much farther away, the staff, and especially Alison the AMAZING Shelter Director were all very accommodating and patient about us getting to Healdsburg to retrieve him, because it fell on a Holiday weekend. In the meantime they kept communication ongoing, and because our cat was underweight, they were especially concerned for his health and did everything they could to find something palatable to help him eat. Our kitty is now home and thriving again. Healdsburg is SO fortunate to have such a beautiful afacility and such a caring staff for the local animal population!

Went in looking for a dresser for our daughter that just moved into a temporary new place. We…read morewalked around looking for furniture and couldn't find any. Found an employee who explained they hadn't been accepting furniture for the last two and a half years and that if they have any it'll be behind that wall and she pointed in a direction with two walls it could be behind, one that was beyond plastic with what seemed like workers in it. Since we'd already been beyond one wall with no furniture, I wanted to clarify which wall but she was done "helping" and just walked away. When I tried to ask, she just kept walking. As I was walking toward the plastic portioned walk, another employee heard me tell my husband that the first employee was rude and she asked if I needed help. She clarified which wall and apologized that they were short staffed today.
