I have used laborers from you several times with no issues. That is why I keep coming back. I obtain workers from you guys for roofing assistance on 1000 sqft of my own roof on 1-18 and 1-19. I was very clear with what I wanted with Alba. I needed a few guys fit enough for the job, who knew what they were doing, and had their own tools. I provided all supplies. I know how to roof myself so I could provide direction and help. You sent Caesar, Mauricio, and Francisco. You told me that it would be $35 dollars an hour each and that they would use their own tools at no additional cost. When they got to my house Saturday at 9am, I explained what I wanted. I was told that it was too much work, but they would do it for $500 each per day. They said they could get the job done in the two days scheduled. I already had everything set up and supplies delivered. So I agreed because spending $3000 on labor didn't seem unreasonable to me and I figured they could use the money. Those two days became a 4 day nightmare! My roof still isn't done, Ceasar and Mauricio did nothing but fight with each other, and they demanded more money to complete the roof. I paid them another $500 each on Monday but refused to do so on Tuesday. They told me on Monday that they were coming back on Tuesday to finish the roof. I thought that meant they didn't want money because I already paid each man $1500 to do the job but was wrong. Tuesdays evening when they packed up to leave they demanded another $500 each. I refused and demanded that they leave. I now have an incomplete roof and was swindled by the three guys you sent. You need to correct this by sending someone to finish my roof at your expense and giving me back the $2500 dollars I was swindled out of. I was very disappointed when the Labor Center sent two workers, only one of whom who was capable of the heavy labor that I had specified. I employed them a second day because one of the workers was capable and I hoped that his friend would be able to do the easier tasks on the second day. I raised the good worker's pay from $25/hr to $45/hr and left the poor worker at $25/hr. The poor worker was so pitiful the second day that I told him not to come back for the third day. I asked the good worker to come back at $45/hr for a third day, but not to bring his friend. He showed up the next day with his friend and said that if I wouldn't pay his friend (to stand around and pretend to work) that he wouldn't work either. I told them both that this wasn't acceptable and to leave. I resent that this Labor Center worker tried to bully and blackmail me into paying his friend. If I were not an experienced and confident person myself, I might have been intimidated into paying him. As it was, they lost the job and I was highly inconvenienced by not having workers when I expected them. The Graton Labor Center shouldn't have sent out the poor worker for heavy labor and they shouldn't have sent out a blackmailing bully for the second worker. read more

This is my experience the labor was horrible as soon as I left to go get them lunch my wife said he laid down and went to sleep knowing that I was gone and then I I brought him lunch he ate it all and just spread his wrappers all over our yard and never picked him up! And next at the end of our day what he was just a horrible worker slow not wanting to work ?? I have requested workers from The Graton Day Labor Center more than a dozen times over the last 3 years. The workers have always been excellent and completed many tasks that I could not do on my own. I think it is important to stay close by and regularly communicate what you want done. I will admit that there have been several missteps in communication with the office, scheduling and directions to my home (GPS is sketchy in our rural part of Sonoma County) , so it is important to be very clear about making the appointment and have the person scheduling repeat back to you. But in the end I find that it is well worth it to be able to find workers that are available with minimal lead time and have been vetted to some extent by the agency. They are a community agency providing a valuable service. read more

I needed their services after I tried to dig some holes for some tomato plants and threw out my back. My wife recommended this service and I'm so glad she did. I thought this would take about 2-4 hours but the young man they sent, Omar, had this knocked out in just under an hour. We than had him pull weeds from our driveway for the next 3 hours. Can I just say, I'm madly in love with this concept?!! I don't know what took me so long. I don't know what the deal is, but I seem to have a very difficult time getting handymen/gardeners out to my house. I can't do the gardening as I have a bum shoulder and a black thumb. Finally decided to call the day labor center, and the same day got two very nice hard working men out there clearing up my overgrown and dying front yard. They are working fast and efficiently and at a reasonable and affordable price. I can safely say I will be calling the day labor center on a regular basis now. Yeay! read more

made an appointment on Saturday during business hours for a Monday morning house cleaning, seemed to go well, discussed all my needs and was told someone would be there at set time. Well set time arrived and no one showed up, called and spoke with Oliver whom told me no appointment was made, then he found appointment and would have to find someone and call me back. he called back confirmed my address and told me some would be there in 15 minuets. After another hour went by I call again and spoke to Oliver, whom said again he would call me back. He now called back and told me the person could not find my house...If I lived on some winding sonoma county road I could understand, but I live off the 116 in Forestville with a clearly marked driveway....So Oliver said there was nothing else he could do, and basically blamed his co-worker who took appointment... Unprofessional and unreliable, doubt I would count on this organization again...thanks for wasting my 2hr 15minets of my time Oliver! read more

I have use great labor center 4-5 times and every time I've had good workers. Good supervision really helps. I usually ask for two workers and request one that can speak English. read more
