Jose is very helpful and always looking out for everyone and he is the most passionate, hardworking, and kind person. Great break room also. Provides coffee, snacks, and etc! Not too hard to do keep in mind every bag you make is feeding a family and it helps a lot. I was really nervous and afraid that the task of doing community service was going to be hard and I have anxiety and being in there got me the comfort I needed to keep going and the employees always gets me going too. It made me to the fact that I want to donate my time at least once a month after doing 103 hours worth of community service. Jocelyn is also helpful with my situation and is best and giving advice, helping out with my situation, and very caring for those that need community service for any reason! I recommend going to this place for any court orders, hours needed for school, work, and etc! Thank you again food bank for your help!

This review is for the Russian River Mud Run that took place at Ya-Ka-Ama…read more What a wonderful first mud run experience. When I arrived, I wasn't sure what to expect. This organized team of outstanding individuals help provide a great first experience in every way! It's because of them that this event happened. They deserve recognition in every way imaginable. THANK YOU !!!! This was a mud run and they sure did their best to make sure we were wallowing swines by the end of this event. We were just covered in mud. This 5K & 10K mud run was located at Ya-Ka-Ama, a private native reservation located on Steve Olsen ln in Forestville. Very close to Riverfront Regional Park. We parked in a huge grassy field and proceeded to walk a very short distance to where all the excitement was about to happen. Anxiety took me over as I realized this is my first REAL run. "What was I going to expect?" "Can my body do a 10K?" "What if I get stuck in mud?" All of these thoughts raced through my mind as I approached the start line. Our small group was getting ready to take the 10K plunge sailing off in the 8:00am wave. Strolling through the shaded paths of Ya-Ka-Ama we arrived at out first obstacle. Which wasn't too bad at all. We continued to snake through the trails as we entered the beautiful coastal Redwoods with spectacular views of the river. Looking around while jogging made me feel fortunate to call this beautiful place of Sonoma County as my home. We eventually ended up on the path of Riverfront Regional Park. Where we picked up a sandbag, or 2 if you are feeling ambitious. We huffed those sandbags down the trail to our next obstacle. We took the similar path back. After crossing the river this is where we began to really hit those obstacles and GET DIRTY ! Between mile 5 & 6 provided the most muddy and dirty obstacles on the course. At this point some of us were fatigued but we didn't stop. We pushed ourselves knowing the end was near. Everyone finished strong like champs! I'm proud of every single individual on the course. A tasty pancake breakfast was provided at the end. Carbs, fat from butter and sugary syrup really hit the spot! Thanks guys! A very successful event, and looking forward to next year. Huge thank you to the wonderful team of people at the Russian River Mud Run. And huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Ya-Ka-Ama for allowing such a positive event to take place on your private property. Each and every one of you guys are the reason this event was successful and made it happen. See you guys next year !!! :-)
