Maybe a bit abrupt when answering the phone while trying to assist customers, but definitely given full attention to the customer in front of her or in the shop, as it should be.

This is an actual feed mill, no middle man involved and the prices are so much better than anywhere else. We mix our own chicken feed which can be more costly than just buying commercial layer feed. However it's currently December and we are still getting a half dozen eggs a day. When I did bring in the broken wormer they refused to replace it -- a $17 loss on my part. I will never shop here again. They carry the same products at Tractor Supply and Chewy that are less expensive and I will not have a problem with returns. Rivertown Feed and Pet Country are simply AWFUL!!!

They carry a range of common poultry and hoofstock feeds, and if they don't have what you want, they'll order it. There are discounts for ordering full pallets of feed. There is a range of animal care supplies such as wormer, antibiotics, hoof care products, fly control, etc. in addition to feeding items and other necessary supplies. They also carry spring chicks (and will special order a favorite breed from the hatchery). There are sometimes plant starts, and if you're lucky you may also find a selection of Shelly's preserved farm specialties..she is an amazing talent with salsas, jellies and other treats that she somehow finds time for making. I can't say enough about the friendly service and flexibility they've shown us over the years...there is no point going to an impersonal big box store for animal care needs when this business is nearby!!
