I've gone to Judee for a few alterations now...the most recent was my bridal gown. Judee did…read morephenomenal work on my gown and I could not have been happier - she's a true artist with a sewing needle!!! The bridal shop or designer had sized it incorrectly or the gown was marked wrong and it needed to be let out a little. The trick was the extensive hand beading and intricate detail work throughout the entire bodice. It also had a chapel train made of tulle and I wasn't thrilled with doing a bustle. Judee suggested cutting the train off and making the entire gown one length and that's what we did. I got so many compliments on my gown - how well it fit, how beautiful it is and also everyone actually loved that I didn't have a train - bustling it would not have enhanced the gown in any way and actually would have have detracted from it. I wish I could show how much work Judee needed to do to remove the train and make the gown all one length as well as hemming it to the proper length. This gown must have had a dozen layers! I've included a close up of the gown and then a full length of it on me (p.s. the hem doesn't look even in the photo but that was either the way I was standing or it came up - it was even). I've also been to Judee to have a bridesmaid gown altered as well as many cocktail dresses. She does fabulous work on everything and is so great to work with! Judee is so friendly, easy going and accomodating! I'm not tall, have a short waist and fairly large bust/shoulders so I pretty much have needed alterations my entire life. Judee is by far one of the best I've been to and she is also very reasonably priced for the magic she does. I'm sure if I had had the alterations done at the bridal shop, it would have cost a LOT more!

The owner rushed me and my friend (a professional fashion designer) to make snap decisions about materials--without ever asking to see my design ideas. Later, she tried to put the blame on me for not providing every single detail up front. She insulted the sundress I was wearing, treated us like we were wasting her time, and then quoted me twice the price for the same style of dress I later purchased at Brilliant Bridal North Phoenix. Whether she was intimidated by my friend's design background or simply had somewhere else to be, the message was clear: our business wasn't valued. Warning: The staff may sound warm and convincing over the phone, but the in-person reality is very different. Expect the ambience of a 1980s time capsule--fun only if you're nostalgic for that decade. The glowing reviews here are either wildly generous... or bought and paid for. If you want to be treated with respect and find a stunning gown for under $10K, I highly recommend Brilliant Bridal or Don't Box It Bridal instead.

I ordered from Monique at Cleo and Clementine via Etsy…read more You would not believe the lengths Monique went to in order to make sure I had the perfect veil for my special day. First of all, I was on a very tight time line because we decided to elope in weeks. I jumped on Etsy and ordered what I thought would be the perfect veil with enough time to receive the item. But, when the veil arrived the shade of rose gold did not match my dress. I quickly notified Monique and asked what I should do. She immediately told me she could help me. She calmly explained she had a new color that might work and she could dye a new veil and add the metallic flakes and get it mailed before my date. The date I notified her was 6 days from my wedding date. She made it happen. The veil arrived the day of the ceremony before noon as promised and was absolutely perfect. I'm getting married in August, and I was debating whether I wanted a veil at all. My dress is white…read morewith black embellishments, and I really wanted a black veil, but I hated all the thicker black ones I saw online... cheap-looking and Hot-Topic esque, I felt. But then I found a photo on Pinterest of a bride with an incredibly thin black veil in the sheerest, most delicate tulle I've ever seen, and I adored it. I miraculously tracked it down as having been made by Cleo & Clementine, so I reached out to them and asked them about the possibility of making one for me. I actually assumed it would be way more expensive than it was, but the price (~$300 for cathedral length) was within my range. They worked with me via email to create my custom order, and it finally arrived tonight! My dress is also being custom made, so I don't have it yet, and therefore don't have any way of knowing how the veil with look paired with my dress. I imagine, though, that it will be perfect. It's the exact fabric I asked for, and I can't wait to see the end result. I'll definitely return to post photos after my wedding day!
