In general, both the cafe and the plant shops are worth checking out! The plant shop's atmosphere is open, comfy, and relaxing. All of the staff members are welcoming and knowledgeable. I also like how the plants are unique and adorable!

Small yet mighty shop. Everything I have bought has been growing and is thriving. Shop owner is great and coffee next door is good too.

A little overpriced for the health of the more expensive plants available, but the little house plant I did get was in very healthy shape.

Ready to come home I decided to put "nursery" on my maps app, I saw that the Terra Bella nursery place I've seen my whole life by the freeway 5 it was an actual nursery. I thought it was like a place where they pack soil and deliver to their other locations. I actually only been to the one off Rosecrans. When I arrived I was like OMG!! This is an actual nursery, and it's a huge one. They have everything you might want. From succulents to fruit trees & everything in between. I saw a bunch of tropicals and even some rare plants. You are able to go into their nursery's and find the perfect baby to take home. If you are like me and think this place is just a soil packing place, STOP!! And actually stop by and check it out. It's going to be worth it. I had the please to encounter a couple nice young employees that were able to help me find my new baby, after I was almost ready to leave since I couldn't find it outside. Carlos actually knew what plant I was looking for and walked me to one of the nurseries growing this actual plant. He allowed me to pick the right one and like 30-40 mins after I was able to take it to the checkout stand and was helped by Nico. Thank you Terra Bella! I am so happy I was able to find my plant. You get the most value for your money. I don't think I'll go back to buy plants at Home Depot. Now I know this place has the best of the best.

A special thank you to Codie and the entire landscaping crew - truly are the best services I have ever had done with my home. Codie took the time to understand exactly what I was trying to accomplish with my backyard and made sure every detail was handled correctly. The landscaping crew was equally impressive--professional, hardworking, respectful of my property, and incredibly meticulous with the placement and installation of every plant. You could tell they genuinely cared about how the finished project looked, not simply about getting the job done. The end result exceeded my expectations. They helped transform my backyard into something I had envisioned for a long time, and seeing it finally come together has been incredibly rewarding. They truly helped make my backyard a dream. I sincerely appreciate Codie and the entire Moon Valley team for the pride they took in my project and the quality of service they provided. When someone treats your home and landscaping as if it were their own, that deserves recognition. For anyone in San Diego looking for professional nursery, planting, or landscape installation services, I would recommend Moon Valley Nurseries without hesitation. Based on my experience, Codie and this team set the standard for what professional landscaping service should look like. Thank you again, Codie and crew, for an outstanding job and for helping turn my vision into reality.

Instead, a salesperson claiming to be a landscape designer aggressively misrepresented what a 'DigAlert' ticket covers. He claimed running their own report after I described one already done by 811, granted them authority to plant seven large tree root systems directly inside a high-voltage and high-pressure natural gas public utility corridor, in direct violation of San Diego Municipal Code safety separation buffers TREE PLANTING AND STAKING SDL-101ATTACHMENT 13. https://www.sandiego.gov/sites/default/files/legacy/publicworks/pdf/edocref/standarddraw/2015standarddrawings/sdl/sdl-101.pdf. This "landscape designer" sugggested that Palo Verdes were the best trees and that they had zero root problems that may interfere with the FIVE underground utilities running on my property that included gas, electric, drainage, AT&T, and Charter Communications. Quite the contrary: Palo Verdes grow up to 25 feet wide and just as tall. My lot is 5500 sf in a tract home community that sits on an easement as a major public right of way. This predatory trade practice shifts massive structural liability onto an unsuspecting homeowner and his outright lies just to get a sale were outright shameful. STAY AWAY from dishonest businesses like this. I called Anderson Nursery right after and they said they've never tell a homeowner to do such absurd thing. Obviously.

What a gem to find this family owned nursery in the heart of Poway!…read more The nursery is MASSIVE! I could spend hours here looking at all the different plants, trees, and flowers. They have an extensive selection to choose from and if you don't find what you're looking for, they will help you find it. Their prices may be a little higher for some items compared to corporate stores like Home Depot but the quality justifies the price. For some other things, they are actually the lowest price. The nursery is clean and organized with plenty of workers to help assist you with picking something out, answering any questions, or helping you load things into the car. I was in and out within 15 minutes! The parking lot is plentiful so no issues there. For parents of little ones or those who love watching mini trains, they have a huge mini train track set up outside in the back by the bonsai trees. A fun and free entertainment to keep your kids occupied while you shop. We bought an apple tree so hope it's fruitful (crossing fingers)!

There's so much to see, I'll have to go back when I have more time. I loved the pot selection from the smallest to the largest and the prices were reasonable too. You might see the shop cat resting or the doggo Enzo excitedly addressing the goats. Oh! There's so much to see, so bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfy shoes since the ground can be uneven. You'll encounter steps, slopes, and some dirt paths. The parking lot is small and fills up fast, so I like to get there early, especially if I'm doing a big plant haul. It can be tricky loading plants when you're parked far away. What doesn't this place have? There's an onsite bar and grill that's dog‑friendly, has live music, and serves brunch on weekends. There's also a cute boutique flower/gift shop with curated items perfect for any plant lover. They offer free local classes to help educate the community -- I've taken the shrub class, but they have tons of gardening‑related workshops. They have chickens, birds, turtles, and more. They care for and rescue animals, which is amazing. They sell compost, and they have every plant you can imagine, plus a large selection of seeds, pots, tools, beekeeping supplies, and canning equipment. I love that this is a neighborhood, locally owned nursery that truly gives back. They do so much to educate the community and promote sustainability. Please support them and get your next plant baby here. A perfect place for kids and pups!
