Isabelle was a very pleasant discovery as we explored Florence on foot during our week-long visit in March 2012. We were looking for a place to relax and enjoy a glass (or two) of some local Tuscan wine. Isabelle met our needs and desires perfectly. We had been on foot for several hours during the afternoon, and needed a spot to rest and "refresh" ourselves until we could move on to our dinner reservation a bit later. We decided on a bottle of a very nice Tuscan Pinot Grigio (€25 incl. grat.), which we proceeded to sip while we relaxed over the next 90 minutes or so.
Isabelle self-describes itself as a "Cafe | Restaurant | Enoteca | Cocktail Bar" . . . and it certainly was each of these things . . . although we did not dine here, but rather enjoyed it primarily as a Wine Bar and for "Aperitivos" (Apertifs). ("Enoteca" is in fact Italian for "Wine".)
Isabelle has a very modern and stylish Italian interior. A wonderfully relaxing and calm environment at this late afternoon / early evening hour!!! Service was excellent . . . and the aperitivos were a wonderful accompaniment to the wine !!! read more
