    Matcha Genmaicha Mochi Donut

    1. Matcha Genmaicha 2. Brown Butter Daigaku Imo Bought at The Well location. In comparison to other Mochi Donut brands, it was the least fresh Mochi donuts I've had. I am not sure if it is because it is sitting on the shelf waiting to be purchased and I don't know how long it has been there. My experience with other stores is that it is fresh made in the back of the store when you make the purchase and you are enjoying a freshly made Mochi Donut. I noticed the oil on the wrapper after we lifted the m.donuts. As for the toppings my go to favourite is generally Matcha. This one the topping icing was thickly laid on. My favourite was the shaved nuts on top of the m.donut. The potato addition on the Brown Butter donut imo did not add any extra flavour for me. I did not get the taste of the Brown Butter. Maybe I missed the point on these. Customer service was good. The sales person waited patiently while we decided.

This is Isabella's newest location. They sell mochi donuts, a box of 6 for $25, or 1 for $3.75-$4.50. We've tried several different flavours. There are always 6 different flavours that change every week, out of a total of 9 flavours. The donuts are so soft and fluffy, as a Mochi should be. The flavours are creative, rich, and delicious! Some of the donuts are quite beautiful. The customer service is good. There is free WiFi from the mall. The food stall is wheelchair accessible. There are male/female washrooms in the food court. Dulce de leche on bottom left, yuzu on bottom right, on top is the chocolate pistachio Dubai Donut.

Isabella's donuts is my fave mochi donut place. For those who don't know, mochi is sticky rice flour so it's a different texture from traditional donuts. Mochi donuts are meant to be doughy & sticky. I have bought donuts from this location before & it was delicious. This time I bought 3 donuts of different flavours for me & hubby to try. We got the yuzu, dulce de leche & a special flavour called Dubai donuts. This flavour is only at The Well. hubby really likes the yuzu as he's a citrus fan. Me, not so much but that's okay. We both like the dulce de leche & Dubai donut. The flavours were really good. The Dubai donut is quite rich so I could only eat half of it. When we had the donuts though I noticed they were quite oily on the bottom. My hands were covered in oil. This hasn't happened before. Maybe they didn't drain them for long enough? I didn't like the oiliness as I have to watch how much oil I have, otherwise I get stomach upset. Thankfully we didn't have too many donuts. Service was pretty quick & there were no issues. The lady at the counter was nice but I got the impression (I could be wrong) that she wasn't fluent in English. It could just be the noise levels in The Well making it hard for us to hear each other. The well is pretty noisy even on a Sunday afternoon well last the normal lunch hour rush. I will try this location again for donuts as I love Isabella's. Hopefully next time they won't be so oily. I've not encountered this issue at the union station location btw.

The Short Version: California style donuts, big and fluffy…read more I'm a fan. The Long Version: So Harry and Heels is a donut shop inside the Fourth Man in the Fire Pizzeria. The founder is the same (he's also the founder of the Burger's Priest). Their donuts are also available at Farm Boy, even as far east as Ottawa, which is actually where I tried them (since sadly the last time I was in Toronto, was before the business was founded). I tried the Chocolate Cream Filled ($3.99) which is a big fluffy yeast donut with chocolate on top and is filled with whipped cream. It's like a round eclair, lol. The layer of chocolate was thick, which I liked. The amount of whipped cream inside was also good, not stingy. These donuts are big and substantial, yet so soft. I'm a fan. I'm looking forward to trying other flavours, likely just at Farm Boy for the near future, but hopefully at their store in Toronto in the not too distant future. Review #3 (2026)

As someone who lived in California for 4 years, I will say these are better than the donuts I had there. We only tried the Apple Fritter which isn't usually my go-to but I'm very glad we tried it. It's crisp and sweet on the outside yet unbelievably soft and fluffy on the inside! The apple flavor is mild and could be a bit more pronounced, in my opinion. It's super airy and less dense than I expected which made this so easy to inhale. It didn't even make it out the door! Super friendly staff and tasty donuts!

There's something tempting about donuts…read more Unholy Donuts was founded during COVID shutdowns when the dipped donut craze hit the city. At that point, its humble start was inside a midtown restaurant for dessert takeout. Fast forward to now, they have three spots across Toronto including downtown which you can't miss with its colourful baby blue & pink exterior. Inside they specialize in brioche donuts that are all dressed up in a variety of flavours ranging from Nutella bomb to pistachio to Homer's favorite raspberry lemon! On the one hand the donuts are expensive starting around $6, on the other they are quite large and eye-pleasing for a unique treat and a hefty sweet bite at that. We picked up six donuts to go after a meal. This bakeshop demonstrates the power of social media in creating buzz across the neighbourhood. I see they're now up to 24 flavours. Perfect timing and novelty wins in this donut-obsessed city. Skip it or hit it? If you're willing to shell out for treats like BBT, there's no reason not to give artisanal donuts a try at least once.

Though they do have the standard flavours which they keep. Service: There is usually two people working here to fulfill the orders. Usually a guy and a girl. They have both been friendly & nice to me. Is it because I'm a repeat customer? LOL. Maybe. Anyway I think if you're nice to people you will get the same back. Ambiance: This is a small location so there isn't much ambiance to the place. It's meant as a place to pick up the food & go. Still, the location serves its purpose & it always looks clean & neat. I keep coming back because I'm addicted to mochi donuts. LOL

They had just opened, and the moment we walked in, we were hit with the incredible aroma of fresh donuts. The selection was overwhelming (in the best way), and I wanted to try every single one. We started with the crème brûlée, pistachio, and Nutella donuts. I inhaled the pistachio one the second we stepped outside -- it was heavenly. We savored the other two throughout the day, and they were just as amazing. It was so good, we had to come back before closing and grabbed six more. Totally worth it. Each donut is $6.50 CAD (about $4.64 USD), and every bite is worth every cent. If you're in Toronto and love donuts, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Highly, highly recommend!

This donut was filled with a delightful chocolate cream and had all the toppings. We would certainly go again! FYI... There is no place to eat the donut inside.
