Beware! Beware! I was not so sure why people gave 5 stars, and knew what quality of windows they received. As for me, multiple of issues. I spent total of $10k+ for the Milgard windows included casement, sliding, and single hang on July 2019 and had it installed into my remodel home in October. The workers took 2 days to install. 1 week after the installation, all the casement windows did not close all the way, called the boss Jimmy. He sent workers a week later and refused to fix it and said this was a manufacture defective. Then he filed a claim to the manufacture for me. 1 month later, Milgard representative came to look and called back to Milgard office to schedule another day out. During this time, I encountered another problem about 2 of the 4x4ft sliding windows were not closed properly. Called Jimmy again, he sent a worker with a heating gun to melt down plastic edge. Milgard did fix the casement windows and apologized that the glasses were not balanced. March 2020, during the lockdown stay home, I discovered a 3 inches cracked of the casement window from the edge of the frame. Called Jimmy, " sorry, you did not buy a warranty and glass breakage cover only 5 days." Therefore, I contacted the Milgard manufacture, they said the same thing and asked me to contact my broker. My dishonest broker did not offer me the warranty. If you had previously purchased from him, please check your invoice for the warranty, not included on my receipt. I had trusted his business base on the Yelp review. However, it was not accurate. He sold me the cheapest line of Milgard which I had no knowledge. All these damn windows were defective. Checkout the pics, you do the judgement..Beware!! I believed Home Depot have a better price. Do not buy Milgard brand, look good but it's not reliable, bad customer service.. read more

Ok so I placed a simple order of 5 Milgard Windows and it took longer than expected, a full two months. I was fine. Upon arrival on the day it arrived I went to pick it up. They didn't tell me a window pane was missing from the order pickup until I arrived at the store. I was told by Ryan, that they apologize and will expedite and it won't take long, maybe about A week due to the nature of the situation. When our windows were measured, they were measured incorrectly, but the guys who installed the new ones made it work. They actually had to remove part of the old frame from the crank out windows we had. It took an extra day to get it all finished. You tell him what you want and hated about your last windows (street noise, leaks, cold) and he gives you suggestions on products and upgrades that will solve these problems. He replied to all my calls, emails, and texts right away. He emailed me several detailed options at different price point. I went with Milgard Tuscany vinyl (mid-priced). I'm super happy with the results. My home looks like a million bucks, just in time for cold rainy season. Most importantly, Jimmy is a good man and his crew are solid people. I spent several months [countless of hours that I had to take off work] searching for a contractor to replace my windows. I contacted about 8 to 10 vendors to come and give me estimates. These vendors are highly rated from yelp with a lot of reviews. However, none of them could offer the brand that my mom wanted which is Milgard so I decided to use the Milgard website to search for their authorized dealers. I contacted and got several quotes from different dealers. Irwindale Windows gave me the best quote (lowest that I could find within 100 miles radius). The owner, Jimmy also spent more time to explain the different options that I had with replacing my windows than all the other vendors combined. His crew was professional. They cleaned after their messes. It took them 4 days to gut out the frame of my old windows (additional cost because our old frame wood was rotten). A well-earned and deserved Five Stars for quality, service, price, and integrity. I contracted Irwindale Window Co. to install eight new Milgard windows in my mother's home. Jimmy, the owner, personally came out to do the estimate and present the options. He explained the pros and cons of different window types, the advantages of Milgard brand windows, and made recommendations on the best options specifically tailored to the home, including using offset glass thickness since the house is on a busy street (which has reduced the sound level dramatically). Jimmy also took the time to expertly (and patiently) answer all of my questions- and I am neurotically detailed- so I had a lot. He emailed a meticulously detailed quote the very same day and patiently sent updated quotes without delay while I was going back and forth deliberating on the different options... more than once. Jimmy is a skilled expert and knows his trade inside and out, which is something that seems almost rare with most companies sending out sales guys who are more trained in "Sales" and closing a deal than in the actual knowledge and skills of the trade. I received two other estimates, one from another local company and one from a big retailer, and Jimmy's pricing was by far the most competitive. The big retailer sent out an inexperienced salesperson who gave me blatantly wrong and misleading information about the products, the options, and the city's building codes. The other company sent out a sales guy who quoted nearly double the price for fewer options. Jimmy employs his own crew, so the quality control is very high since the work is not subcontracted out.
