    Ramen

Grilled beef tongue was delicious. However, the ramen was too salty and heavy. The baked oysters were too small, barely could I taste the oyster and it was all cheese. The service was great and ambiance was nice though.

We visited their terrace during a social evening and everything from oysters to tasting bites were being circulated. The location is easy to access and a popular spot so we saw everything from a building evacuation at the apartment block nearby to meeting the Red Arrows (Royal Air Force aerobatic flight team). The location itself is gorgeous, and from their booths to their bathrooms it was like an Instagram backdrop. Every staff member throughout the evening were so friendly and hospitable, it really went a long way. My favourite part was the starters as we were able to share a variety of tastes across our group. The sashimi was fresh and cut to the perfect portion sizes, I'm a sucker for gyozas and the karaage came quickly to the table and retained all of it's best features. I am a big fan of their 3 for $33 special because its a great excuse to share dishes, and their happy hour 3 to 6 at the bar for cheap snacks is likely to bring me back.

New japonese restaurant near 10-30 mall, with affordable prices. At lunch it's 24$ for starter, main dish and a coffee. And my karaage ramen was good but but fries chicken was fat. But the food was a bit bland, and you have to put lots of salt and pepper.

First off it's not a BYOW and many of the dishes were bland and disappointing. The tempura shrimp were made differently and when we bit into them they squirted a liquid (we assumed it was water) out. Quite literally when I bit into my piece it squirted water across the table The Pad Thai was just noodles and sauce and was dry The Dragon's Eye sushi tasted very fishy The ambiance was nice and the wait staff were friendly but the food wasn't very good We won't be going back! Just a note: The Mitsuki in Saint Hubert has changed ownership and name but food was still amazing and it's still a BYOW the last time we were there over 3 years ago.

The reason I can't give 5 star is the selection. The selection was so bad you have no tuna in your option. The maki was almost one of the only sushi I could get. Maki with cucumber, maki with avocado, or maki with salmon. They had one I believe in speciality that was avocado cream cheese and goberge. The other option all had shrimp tempura or deep fried. I like avocado and salmon, pretty simple but not offered on the menu. The sushi are good and the water service was really quick. I just wish I could have had a variety of choices. Most sushi place have a different lunch option. It might be a good option to come later for dinner instead.

Once seated, things happen very quickly...it is go, go, go (in the best possible way.) We ordered appetizers first, the tempura green beans with a delicious truffle mayo, gyoza and the tofu salad (they make it fresh every Sunday). Green beans were everyone's fave, but I have to mention the (pickled?) vegetables on the salad. So flavourful! Also tried the egg drop soup which is so tasty. Mains were the salmon tuna bowl, the beef short ribs, the shrimp burger, and 48 hour pork with curry sauce. Everything was wonderful! Finished with their soft serve ice cream, I had the cherry blossom but one of us had the sake, which is a shot of sake poured on top. Amazing! You can even have wasabi or ginger... I'll try that next time (and there will be a next time soon!)

You can also order to go here I believe. They really operate efficiently, expect fast service! Tables are tightly situated and there's a cozy bar situation where I sat this time, able to watch the chefs cook right in front of me. The daily specials are posted on their Instagram page, as well as written on pieces of paper around the restaurant. My server quickly helped me to water and a glass of sake. I placed a to go order for one of the daily specials, the grilled sea bass with sushi rice and salad, with some kimchi. I also ordered the BBQ chicken with tortilla and salad, as well as vegetable gyoza. Everything was incredible. Truly. The gyoza came topped with green onions and was SO crispy and hot and was perfect with their soy sauce. I thought sea bass was wonderful with a unique almost smoky flavor that melted in my mouth paired with the slightly sweet sticky rice. The barbecue chicken was great as well and better the next day. One thing I don't really understand is why they served plain flour tortillas cut into quarters with their food. We didn't utilize this, nor the white butter/mayo sauce that came alongside it. I hope to eat here often, for years to come and am so happy to see this iconic Japanese restaurant still thriving years later.

My husband and I met some friends at the restaurant for dinner on Feb 5, 2026. On the table, there were two extensive menus in French, unfortunately I don't speak French I understand a bit. After a while, the waitress named Yen D., according to the receipt, came over to see what we would order; we asked for wine. At that moment, I asked her for another menu, and she said she didn't have any, that the menu could be viewed through the "barcode." At that moment, everyone with me asked Yen to bring me a menu in English, and she said she didn't have one. When we went to order, my husband, as well as our friends told Yen that I was allergic to mayonnaise and her response was that everything had mayonnaise. Note: at all times, everyone spoke to her in French, and I spoke in English. Yen D., sarcastically for the first time addressing me, asked in perfect English, "And you don't eat egg? because mayonnaise is made with egg and oil?" My husband told her in French that I am allergic to mayonnaise. At that moment, I asked her, "If you know English, why don't you address me in English?" and her sarcastic reply was, "Ah, but you told me 'merci' when I served your wine, and you pronounced it very well." Look, Yen D. even my two-year-old great-nephew can say "merci" perfectly, even if he doesn't speak French. At this point I was so mad and extremely disappointed. I noticed that the mayonnaise they serve is on top of the pieces, not that the pieces themselves are made with mayonnaise, example volcano, omakase roll, boeuf sashimi, sogen roll etc -- something the chef could easily have omitted, but she insisted that only 2 rolls were made without mayonnaise. My husband order one of them for him and she went to him very low and said I will order to put mayonnaise on your. At this momenti I order a miso soup, which I returned for being extremely salty, and 6 garlic wings. Throughout the meal, Yen D. came to serve the wine; when she didn't come at the end because the other couple had finished their bottle, I took our bottle and began serving myself when suddenly she arrived, snatched the bottle, poured wine for my husband who still had some, and then served me what was left. In the other hand, I was the only one who went back for water, and Yen D. never came to serve me water from the bottle on the table; on the contrary, I served myself the entire time. Who is Yen D. to question my preference about whether I eat egg and oil? Who is Yen D. to treat me with hostility in her service toward me? This restaurant, besides being extremely expensive, if they don't have a bilingual menu, if the waitress knows someone is speaking English for a reason and doesn't address me in English so I can understand properly, if they can't make adjustments to their menu, and if employees are going to question whether someone eats something they are allergic to, I do not recommend it.

Went back another time for the hot food since it looked good on other tables, either it was delicious but a tiny portion covered in uncooked vegetables, or an ok portion of greasy food. All in all very disappointing and will not go there again.
