Ironstone Bank is a smaller multi-state bank versus national banks like Chase and Bank of America. When I needed a checking account for a business, I went down the street (1 block) to Chase and they refused courier service even though I was down the street. They nickled and dimed me for services also. So within 3 months, I closed my account with them.
I heard about Ironstone through a referral and spoke to the VP Carol Roberson directly and changed my banking to them. They did not nickle and dime me and offered way more services for lower fees. They are small, personable and it shows. If I need to talk to the VP, I can call her directly and/or email and will have prompt follow up. I have referred several friends to Ironstone and everyone has been very satisfied.
Maybe it's a good idea that large banks break up?? read more
