Typically, this place serves really good seasonal blends at great prices for card members. But this new spring menu is an unholy abomination against whatever diety you worship. One, several employees tout the new ube offerings, sounds awesome! Then the person at the counter, literally 8 feet away, tells you they are out. Good job building the hype train! Tried the tropical latte, and it's just.. Sooo bad. On top of that, they messed up my milk preference using whole milk. Nit picky thing, except I'm super allergic to milk. So an hour of swollen tongue and face sitting at my desk at work after having paid 5 bucks for a coffee I got one sip out of. My friend for a cold brew with lavender syrup. And sometjing went terribly wrong with their cold brew. It's pure acid today for some reason. Also no lavender syrup was added. I'm willing to chalk this up to a disastrous day for what is otherwise usually an excellent experience. But drop the spring menu and fire whomever created it out of a cannon and into the sun. Always been a big fan of Verve Coffee chain. However, in this Austin location, they don't have any house coffee.. Came in on a Monday morning during MLB Monday and noticed they had a new seasonal menu. I decided to try the cherry vanilla matcha latte with oat milk. The matcha latte itself was really good, better than I remembered from before. The cherry cold foam was noticeably tart which is not really my preference. I actually liked the latte more before I mixed it all together. If you like tart though this is the drink for you. Always great service here as well. read more

I had only been to one other Capital One cafe before visiting this one but the difference was so stark! As soon as we stepped into this cafe, we were greeted and welcomed in. The young g woman greeting folks was very friendly asking us all about what brought us in, etc As far as vibe goes, given its location, there was a general serious & corporate ambiance (unsurprisingly). Most patrons seemed to be either students studying or professionals taking meetings / networking. I had an iced Americano (but customized the number of shots bc it usually comes with 6!!). Austin, Tx. When I heard that Cap One Cafe knocks off 50% if you use your Cap One credit card to purchase, I rushed right down and ordered two lattes, a smoothie, and a Yogurt/granola cup. That's when I found out the 50% only applies to the coffee drinks. Everything here is served in paper or plastic cups, another so called cafe with no dishwasher. The lattes were a bit weak but definitely ok. The smoothie was good, not premade, a young man blended it up right there using frozen berries. It was also ok. The granola/yogurt (Power Bowl) is not in a bowl but a small plastic cup with a snap on lid. The barista actually cut up a banana and then layered the ingredients. Hard to eat out of that cup but it tasted very good. There is a full time guy whose job is to keep the homeless away and welcome you. Another guy walks you to the restroom and opens the combination lockset for you. The ambiance is laid back and relaxing but it is apparently a destination for doing business here in the cafe. Came her to meet/catch up/work with a friend. We were greeted by friendly staff upon walking in. They have plenty of seating despite there being a good amount of people inside the cafe. Not too loud, but maybe hard to take a meeting/phone call. They do have a quiet area, which is nice. Bathroom is shared so there maybe some wait. I ordered the yogurt parfait and some iced latte which was good to get me started and through the day! We have been going to the Capital One Cafe every Monday while they have the MLB free coffee promotion going on. It's conveniently located right downtown. When you walk in, you are greeted by several employees. We keep joking that the friendly man at the entrance is the literal Capital One Cafe guy from the commercials. They serve verve coffee and I have really enjoyed their iced latte, americano, and cold brew. The signature honey lavender latte is really delicious, but was too sweet for me. Next time I would try it half sweet. The cafe itself is comfortable and always busy. They have connect for that you can play while waiting for your drinks. Last time we played, my fiance won and the capital one man appeared with a coupon for a free drink. I'm not totally sure how this place operates, but the coffee is good and the people are just so so friendly and positive. I will continue going here after the free Monday promotion ends. read more

Not only was the coffee good, the service was exceptional. I am someone who will repeated go back somewhere JUST for good service, even if their food/drinks were average. This place is a lifesaver, especially during the SXSW film festival. Since I am always busy watching movies at the nearby Paramount and Stateside theaters, the location of this Cafe makes it the perfect place to stop to recharge my phone and rest my feet! It's free for anyone to enter, but you get coffee and espresso at their modest cafe for half price if you show them your Capital One card. The prices are already pretty cheap, but they're ever cheaper with your card. The coffee is fine, but it's nothing super gourmet. If you're happy with a basic cappuccino or latte, you'll be perfectly fine with anything on the menu. There are lots of comfy seats and plugs for charging, and it's a great place to work. I've used this place as a downtown temporary office several times to type up movie reviews when I'm trying to meet a tight deadline. I've found the employees to be exceptionally warm and friendly too, and they don't try to sell you anything or push their financial services. I've always felt welcome and appreciated whenever I stop in. They have an atm and a bathroom (you have to ask for a code) too. I wish it was open later because they close around 5, but that's probably just to keep the downtown Austin riff-raff from causing trouble. read more

Always checking our capital one cafe. Thankful there's one in this location. The museum across from it was closed temporarily so my son and I came for matcha and coffee. I had matcha latte with almond milk and my son had honey lavender tea. Great drinks. But the server refused to heat up my already purchased cheese danish pastry. He said he was closing in thirty minutes and he needs to clean it. I ended up giving the pastry to the homeless. Otherwise, area was clean, there was a lady outside who was sweet and helpful. They have private nooks for you to study in, or the main area where you can grab a coffee or latte and get some work done as well. I had come in with an issue with my account and Jeremy helped me out by helping me contact the appropriate representatives, which I believed definitely sped up the process compared to me having done it on my own.I really appreciate his help! Went with a work group and used the community room for lunch. The privacy was great but beware see thru glass walls. I loved the generous drinks discount due to being a cardholder.
