So. Much. Fun! I had seen Iron Mills show up on my feed when a friend went to visit a few months again and the I saw some promoted posts from them. We decided to take the kids to visit and we had the best time! If you decide to go for a one-off visit it's a bit pricey at $25/person, so if you live close by (we don't) it could be worth it to get a season pass. This is not your average farm -- it has everything from food stands, tractor rides, playgrounds, sandboxes, and more! It's more like a farm / carnival / Idlewild light combo. We enjoyed trying some food from a few different spots and was delighted to find that they did offer hard cider for adults. The way that the farm is set up it really does cater to parents with kids -- allowing for the adults to sit back and have a conversation while the kids go nuts on the corn beach. Corn beach you ask? No, really, it's super fun and everything sensory. They even go as far to have an abundance of porta potties and hand washing stations. With 2 little kids I was never worried about getting them to the bathroom in time. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the lack of pumpkin patch -- unless I missed it! In the summer they feature a sunflower festival and the fall is the fall festival and I can't wait to go pick some sunflowers.] Will I be back? Absolutely! read more

For me, it's a one time thing as a Grandparent. Watch the grass covered RUTS in the parking field. It is VERY costly to get in. No discounts. 2 years and under, free. 80 years and over, free They take cash to get in, but only cards for everything else. We found that out after waiting in line for over a half hour, for an expensive water. . There are no signs posted "cards only". It is a big playground that sells pumpkins. I can only comment on it from a wedding venue standpoint, but Leah the coordinator was amazing from the beginning as well as all of the staff (Haley and Taylor!). Been several years. Tons to do for all ages - toddler to early teens. Can easily spend the entire day here. Check the calendar for fireworks! Everything is well organized and in good order. Very professional. Check the schedule for pig races and fire truck candy cannon. Lots Of food options. Most activities are included with admission. This place is on a hidden, quiet road up north in Wilmington, PA. Admission is $14. Look for Chik Fil A coupons that give you $2 off. There is so much to do here. They have a little zoo, pumpkin bowling, a big corn maze (a mini one too), a hayride to the pumpkin patch, basketball, football tossing, a bounce house, a huge slide, a corn Pitt to play in (like a ball Pitt except corn instead of plastic balls), bat gliding, apple blaster shots, pony rides ($5 per ride), tricycles, 8 food stands and many more activities. There were a few food stands that sold burgers, dogs, kettle corn, popcorn, etc. You definitely get your money's worth. We were there for 9 hours yesterday on an 80 degree day. Definitely the best pumpkin patch I've been to in my life. The staff are all very pleasant and the food is good. They have fireworks on certain nights too. I wish this place was open all year long. They have photo contests and giveaways on their Facebook page. This place blows Soergels, Shenots, Trax Farms and any other patch out of the water. On Father's Day we attended a wedding at this venue. I had never heard of it so I was excited to see it. Unfortunately as we were driving there the skies opened and it poured rain. We were happy to make it inside without getting totally drenched. We walked right in to the lower level of the venue. They had a bar that was serving while we waited for the rain to end. The wedding started a half an hour late because of the rain but I watched the employees quickly set up the finishing touches on the outdoor area where the wedding ceremony would take place. It was beautiful. They had fabric draped, a chandelier, and gorgeous flowers. After the ceremony we headed back into the same area for cocktail hour. There was a table with cheeses, crackers, veggies. etc along with an open bar. Again the staff was on pointe. The bathrooms were extremely clean the servers passed horsdoeuvers. Before long we were taken upstairs for the reception. There was plenty of room to walk between the tables-even if people were seated. The food was served buffet style. It was some of the best wedding food I've ever had. The staff was quick to pick up finished plates. They were very friendly as well. Another huge rain storm hit but we didn't realize it. We were mesmerized by the great food and beautiful chandeliers. I would recommend this venue to any bride read more

We have been to multiple pumpkin patches/fall festivals around the Pittsburgh area. This is hands down the best one. There are food stands and lots of fun activities for the kids. I only wish it was closer, but the drive is part of the fun. This will be a yearly tradition for me and my family. We will be back. read more

This place is absolutely fantastic for kids and for adults. I can't say enough how much I love coming here. The corn maze was a lot of fun, and always such a great design! Every year we spend the whole day here and sometimes that's not even enough time. There is so much to do with the pumpkin bowling, Apple sling shot, bat glide, slide, pumpkin patch, jumping pillow and so much more! The fire works are always a fantastic ending to the day! Attended a wedding here and was blown away. Location was remote enough for a completely serene outdoor ceremony. Ample parking. The grounds were extremely well kept. Cocktail hour was in the downstairs portion of the barn and there were handicap restrooms available as well as changing tables for infants. Reception on the second floor was way more than I anticipated- the gigantic chandeliers were breathtaking and the ambiance screams rustic chic perfection. The reception portion was air conditioned and allowed for increased participation on the dance floor- the outdoor deck was perfect for photos. Beautiful location!!! read more

This is a fantastic place for a day out with the kids, parties, etc (weddings too of course but I'm not reviewing the wedding barn here). There are about a dozen different activities for the kids. The animal train tractor thing requires an additional ticket but you can purchase it there at the ride. Otherwise there is the bee hive (air/balls thing), bat (zip line) thing, sand box, 2-3 playgrounds (in the same area), huge slides (4), tumbleweed (barrel roll) thing, corn beach (the coolest), a trike race track, bouncy ball track and of course the two (age appropriate) bounce pillows. Plus tractor ride around the field, pig races, etc. You can rent a campfire or tent (for parties or just because). They have party packages that are super reasonable. There are several different food venues (hot dogs, fries and more, coffee and sweets, kettle corn, etc.). The staff is awesome. They are very nice and accommodating. We were here twice this year and several last year. It seems they constantly add new stuff. We will definitely be back! Loved it!!! read more

We've been here 3 times for their fall fest. It's a great time for young kids. The only bad thing is the food. It has steadily declined since 2014. A chicken tender meal is $10, you get 3 pieces, a small fry and a coke. And the coke was flat. We tried out the Friday night Corn Maze Fall Fun event. I have to say, it was my first time here. At first I thought it was going to be great but as the night went on, it became clear that between newbie mistakes (my fault) and unclear signs/communication (their fault) that frustration was bound to set in. Here are my pros/cons and recommendations to avoid my headache and disappointment: Pros: *lots of attractions, and I mean lots. *the variety of attractions is also excellent *free s'mores and fire pits included in the admission! *the picture opportunities and set ups were great * the corn maze was super fun Cons: * limited hours on Friday but if you are like us and looking for a fun Friday night event, we didn't mind the 4-10pm timeframe HOWEVER- what we didn't anticipate is everything closing early. *limited food vendors on Fridays- again, something we didn't anticipate, and yes if you click all over the webpage you can find some info on it- BUT I feel it there should be an asterisk and disclaimer on the main page. *the workers were either mostly rude or mostly indifferent and let kids run crazy. I'm not a helicopter parent by any means but I keep my kids monitored. I don't feel I should have to be worried my kid will be injured by other unruly kids. Aka. Kids throwing corn in the corn pit, flipping and being excessively out of control on the bounce surface, and running crazy all over the sack slides just to name a few concerns. Most of the "workers" looked like high school kids who could either care less or who over stepped their boundaries (saw one push a kids head away as the kid tried to enter, lucky it wasn't my kid). *the food from the Iron Mills Grill was awful, like seriously AWFUL and expensive. Save yourself the trouble and money- get pizza. *the signage and most policies were regarding Saturday/Sunday and did not apply to Friday. It was a big irritation to me based on principle that most of the information I came across was wrong. Therefore, I would recommend THOROUGHLY checking out the website before going and having a plan. Do NOT rely on anyone there- frankly the information booth lady was rude. I'd pass on the season pass, one day was plenty and personally I'd check out friendlier farms. ‍ read more
