I was very lucky to be referred to Evan McGuigan tattoo artist at IronBridgetatoos. I met with Evan to have him look at a very special picture of my father who has passed away and wanted to have this tattooed on my shoulder. Evan does all kinds of world class tattoos and also specializes in portrait tattoos too! He took time to listen to my story and helped me with making my decision on the best way to put this on my shoulder. He is extremely professional, great attitude, friendly and a 17 year experienced tattoo artist. The day I came in for my appointment to have my tattoo done. Evan walked me through the process to make sure I was completely comfortable and he answered all my questions. During the process Evan always made sure I was comfortable and asked if I needed any breaks during the process. The tattoo was completed as he promised to look like the picture I provided. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Evan and the company. This business is extremely clean and they take all precautions to make sure everything is clean and safe for your tattoo experience. If you're looking to have a professional tattoo! I would absolutely go see Evan for an appointment. You will be happy you took the time to meet with him! Services Fine line tattoos read more

Matt is my guy for ink work. I live in Seattle, the man-bun, hipster, tattoo center of the universe, and haven't found a more skilled artist to realize my visions than on Kauai with Matt Hoyme. I send friends his way who are looking for a first tattoo knowing they will be well taken care of. If you are on Kauai and looking for a nice piece of ink to mark your travels, or have in mind a larger concept piece, Matt is your guy! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Trent did an AMAZING job! There was great communication from the beginning call of asking for a walk-in down to the point of the actual visit. I am on vacation with my friend and we both decided to get one. Whoever was on the phone was very professional and accommodating to our very little time here. Good communication with Trent prior to the visit. He asked what we were looking for and after sending pictures, we were shown amazing stencils of the EXACT design. Ironically, both of us wanted a few changes because of new ideas and he easily adjusted to our needs with no complaints. I got my first tattoo on my ribs and it couldn't have turned out better. He is amazing and looks out for your best interest. Highly recommend listening to his advice about the tattoo you intend to get. He is very skilled and extremely nice. He kept me calm through the whole process and I trusted him to add his own flare to the design. Turned out way better than I imagined! read more

Highly recommended! Decided to get tattoos to commemorate our vacation in Hawaii after years of non-travel. Tried several shops, but none were open in our needed timeframe.....my fault for waiting too long to try and book. I finally reached out to Ironbridge, but was told that they too are closed on Sunday, but he agreed to double check with an artist and get back to me. Trent Parke called and was VERY accommodating. He agreed to cut his day off short and meet us at the shop. He was on time, greeted us pleasantly and professionally and proceeded to show us sketches of what he created, based on our telephone conversation. The sketches were perfect! He was friendly and carried on conversations while doing the tattoos, but remained focus on each piece. The end results were exactly what we wanted and the price paid was very reasonable! Mahalo to Ironbridge for helping us get an appointment and Mahalo Nui Loa to Trent for a fun evening that resulted in our perfect tattoos! read more

AMAZING WORK! Matt did an extremely good job at taking my concepts and creating a masterpiece! I get COMPLIMENTS ALL THE TIME on my tattoo! He's very good at giving clean lines and mixing colors for the right tone. Both Matt and Kobi are wonderful tattoo artists, you can't go wrong going to this shop.. In fact, do yourself a favor and make an appointment!! The shop is clean, bright, and has a sweet view of sleeping giant. My tattoo healed insanely quick, with only one day of peeling and it never itched! With the advice of aquaphor for a couple days and then unscented lotion thereafter was the perfect suggestions for an effortless healing process. I can't wait for the next time!!! Five-star experience all around. On my last day on Kauai I decided to get a souvenir tattoo and Ironbridge had an opening so I went in. The place looks immaculately clean and I love the tattoo art hanging all over the shop. The environment definitely put my mind at ease as a neat-freak/OCD person. Matt greeted me and we discussed on my tattoo idea. For placement, I also decided to cover a small tattoo I had done a year ago at another shop. He got something put together right away and got to work. When I finally saw the finished product I was amazed. The tattoo came out way more awesome than I could have imagined! I recommend checking out Matt's (and his colleague's!) work online or in the portfolio at the shop to get a better idea of their styles. Based on Matt's work I knew whatever he created would come out beautifully and it did. I already have received many compliments on my tattoo and I only got it done three days ago. The only downside is I'll have to travel 5,000 miles to get another one done at Ironbridge. I definitely will be back. Thank you so much for my first "big" tattoo. read more

The family that tattoos together is a lot of fun- my daughters and I spent our 2nd to last day on Kauai getting matching tattoos, my oldest daughter's artwork. Matt was VERY accommodating and made sure that the sizes fit the chosen space and was meticulous in his sanitary set up. The lines are very clean and he was clear about making sure to stay out of the water in Kauai during our healing process. If you are getting a holiday tattoo- Ironbridge is a great stop and plan it for your final day so you don't have to miss a day in the ocean. One other thing that was FABULOUS was the music! In the past, the tattoo shops I've been too were dark with heavy metal or thrasher type music- I appreciated the classics of Nina Simone and Ray Charles playing while we branded our bodies. Thanks Matt! read more

Me, my sister and cousin made our appointment our first day on the island and Trent fit us in for our last day here per our request. He was so accommodating, helpful, and understanding of our vision and patient as this was all of ours first tattoo. We showed up 20 mins early to our appointment because we had significant last minute design changes and he listened to our thought and made all of our stencils perfectly. He has great vision on balance and placement and none of us had to alter the initial stencil spot. During the actual tattoo process, he made sure we were comfortable and doing ok with the pain. For each of us the tattoo took around 10-15 minutes and it was a very easygoing process. We were all thrilled with the finished result!!! I know the other artists at this shop are phenomenal as well and I 100% recommend coming here if you would like a high quality on your vacation. Also, the vibe inside was very clean and artsy, with an amazing playlist going, I was loving that the vibe of the shop wasn't dark and heavy metal like shops usually are. The artistry that occurs here is tangible. Would for sure come again if I ever visit the island again!! read more

If you're on Kauai or even a neighbor island don't hesitate to go here. Kobi and his partners are all very kind, knowledgeable, and amazing at what they do. I flew over from Oahu and don't regret it, the atmosphere was nice. Kobi explained all the process of what would happen, how to relax, and made me feel as comfortable as possible. This was my best tattoo experience, thank you Kobi! read more

Everything about this shop, from the decor to the guys that run it, is absolutely outstanding. Kobi and Matt are some of the most wonderful people around and will make you feel right at home in their shop - whether you're a tattoo virgin or are working on your twentieth piece. Big or small, these guys know their shit and won't let you walk out of there less than 100% satisfied. Also, their tattoo chairs, holy shit they're great. Never been tattooed in something so comfy (seriously, my butt didn't fall asleep once). And finally, my man Kobi can SLAY a full sleeve. I literally have people stop me on the street at least 3x a day to ask me about my work. If you're considering this shop, I highly recommend you get in there asap and talk to these guys about your next and best piece. read more

Actually walked in another tattoo shop and they sent me to IRONBRIDGE! So what does that tell you?! Kobi and Matt are great artists , they can do any style you ask and will work with you to customize the perfect piece from a little banger to a full sleeve. Kobi was so welcoming and seemed eager to tattoo. No matter the size of the piece he was ready to get it done. Look at their website , amazing artist from traditional Americana to Beautiful Japanese tattoos. I am in love with my little Hawaiian skull that Kobi did on me. it blends perfectly in with my other work on my sleeve. Thanks for a great experience. I will recommend this shop for anybody looking to get anything done while visiting or even a local resident. You will have a great experience. Thanks guys! read more

Our family has made many trips to Kauai, in fact since 1984. Our most recent trip was in August, 2017. We decided before the trip that we would all get tattoos! I started my homework and found Ironbridge Tattoo on line! All the reviews I read said how awesome this place was, and they were right! I contacted Matt and we scheduled our tattoos with him! He was awesome and did all four of our tattoos in under 2 hours. They all came out AMAZING!!! I highly recommend Matt and Ironbridge Tattoos! read more
