I am on vacation with my friend and we both decided to get one. Whoever was on the phone was very professional and accommodating to our very little time here. Good communication with Trent prior to the visit. He asked what we were looking for and after sending pictures, we were shown amazing stencils of the EXACT design. Ironically, both of us wanted a few changes because of new ideas and he easily adjusted to our needs with no complaints. I got my first tattoo on my ribs and it couldn't have turned out better. Highly recommended! Decided to get tattoos to commemorate our vacation in Hawaii after years of non-travel. Tried several shops, but none were open in our needed timeframe.....my fault for waiting too long to try and book. I finally reached out to Ironbridge, but was told that they too are closed on Sunday, but he agreed to double check with an artist and get back to me. Trent Parke called and was VERY accommodating. He agreed to cut his day off short and meet us at the shop. He was on time, greeted us pleasantly and professionally and proceeded to show us sketches of what he created, based on our telephone conversation. The sketches were perfect! He was friendly and carried on conversations while doing the tattoos, but remained focus on each piece. The end results were exactly what we wanted and the price paid was very reasonable! Five-star experience all around. On my last day on Kauai I decided to get a souvenir tattoo and Ironbridge had an opening so I went in. The place looks immaculately clean and I love the tattoo art hanging all over the shop. The environment definitely put my mind at ease as a neat-freak/OCD person. Matt greeted me and we discussed on my tattoo idea. For placement, I also decided to cover a small tattoo I had done a year ago at another shop. He got something put together right away and got to work. When I finally saw the finished product I was amazed. The tattoo came out way more awesome than I could have imagined! I recommend checking out Matt's (and his colleague's!) work online or in the portfolio at the shop to get a better idea of their styles. Based on Matt's work I knew whatever he created would come out beautifully and it did. I already have received many compliments on my tattoo and I only got it done three days ago. The family that tattoos together is a lot of fun- my daughters and I spent our 2nd to last day on Kauai getting matching tattoos, my oldest daughter's artwork. Matt was VERY accommodating and made sure that the sizes fit the chosen space and was meticulous in his sanitary set up. The lines are very clean and he was clear about making sure to stay out of the water in Kauai during our healing process. If you are getting a holiday tattoo- Ironbridge is a great stop and plan it for your final day so you don't have to miss a day in the ocean. One other thing that was FABULOUS was the music! In the past, the tattoo shops I've been too were dark with heavy metal or thrasher type music- I appreciated the classics of Nina Simone and Ray Charles playing while we branded our bodies. Me, my sister and cousin made our appointment our first day on the island and Trent fit us in for our last day here per our request. He was so accommodating, helpful, and understanding of our vision and patient as this was all of ours first tattoo. We showed up 20 mins early to our appointment because we had significant last minute design changes and he listened to our thought and made all of our stencils perfectly. He has great vision on balance and placement and none of us had to alter the initial stencil spot. During the actual tattoo process, he made sure we were comfortable and doing ok with the pain. For each of us the tattoo took around 10-15 minutes and it was a very easygoing process. We were all thrilled with the finished result!!! I know the other artists at this shop are phenomenal as well and I 100% recommend coming here if you would like a high quality on your vacation. Also, the vibe inside was very clean and artsy, with an amazing playlist going, I was loving that the vibe of the shop wasn't dark and heavy metal like shops usually are. Everything about this shop, from the decor to the guys that run it, is absolutely outstanding. Kobi and Matt are some of the most wonderful people around and will make you feel right at home in their shop - whether you're a tattoo virgin or are working on your twentieth piece. Big or small, these guys know their shit and won't let you walk out of there less than 100% satisfied. Also, their tattoo chairs, holy shit they're great.
