Made a last minute appointment to get a *new* piercing which I have gotten previously but fell out. The owner and his son were extremely kind to myself and my son when we came in for the appointment. They made me feel super comfortable and safe. The process was smooth and sterile. The ambiance is so relaxing and calming, a very clean and nice environment. I will definitely be back for more piercings! read more

Ganesha Body Piercing - Extremely happy with my piercing from Ganesha Body Piercing - Piercing Near Me - Kapaa, Hawaii

Julian is the best! So friendly, professional, and welcoming. He made the whole experience easy and comfortable. Highly recommend!

He educated us about all the misconceptions of the healing process. His place is CLEAN and amazing. We got my tween daughters ears pierced for the first time and he did such a great job at explaining the process to her along with the aftercare. Worth the price! Claires looks like fastfood and this is quality dining. read more

I was so nervous for my nostril piercing but Julian made it the most chill experience with his expertise. Desmond did a great job with my daughter's conch piercing. Wonderful experience, experts at their craft and a beautiful showcase of jewelry options. read more

Julian is one of the best piercers on Kaua'i, no bs, and actually certified. I have really sensitive skin and my body rejects piercings, but my nostril piercing is almost 2 years healed and has never had any issues! Super nice and funny guy. Highly recommend! read more

My 17 year old daughter had her helix pierced on mainland by a trusted piercer. She was having some issues so I made her an appointment. The appointment process was easy & smooth. I assumed my daughter was reacting to the jewelry and needed something different but instead of taking our money, changing it out and sending us out the door, Julian changed out the post and put a disk between the skin and jewel. We will return in 2 weeks to follow up. The shop is SUPER clean and he has an amazing selection of jewelry! read more

We ended our lovely Hawaii vacation with an ear piercing for mother and daughter, and we could not have received better customer service than what Julian provided at Ganesha Body Piercing. His shop is clean, air-conditioned, and beautifully decorated. He was professional, thorough, and clean, and he made us feel comfortable. Julian went step by step, showed us his process, answered all our questions, and explained the sanitation protocol and aftercare instructions. I went first so my daughter could see the process, and I felt good having such a professional pierce my teenager's ears. Before arriving, I was a bit nervous/anxious since I'd never been pierced at a Tattoo shop. Still, I'm beyond happy/satisfied with our experience to the point that I would go back to Hapaa just to get pierced again by Julian. Thank you to Julian for everything, and I highly recommend his shop. read more

Once again, I cannot adequately express the professionalism and artistry that Julian brings to each client experience. Julian is the only person I trust to do my body piercings and he has done many for me over the years. Each time, he carefully explains the process and is so patient in addressing any questions or concerns I have. My most recent piercing was my septum. After explaining the steps and what I might experience, Julian proceeded and even though I was prepared for the pain, he executed the piercing in a manner that was not at all painful! My eyes didn't even water! I attribute this to his years of experience and the way he puts clients at ease and enables a relaxed state of mind which contributes to a far less uncomfortable session than otherwise might occur. His shop is beautiful and adheres to the highest of safety and sanitary regulations. His jewelry selection will provide plentiful options to meet a wide variety of styles and tastes. If all of this doesn't motivate you to reach out to him for your piercing needs, Julian is one of the best people I know; he is kind, caring and compassionate. Truly a great human being and how rare is that these days? I wish I could give him a 50 star rating! read more

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Appreciated the ease of scheduling online with several reminders via text - it's easy to lose track of time on vacation. The piercing was for our almost 15 year-old and Julian was very clear and concise on the information and guidance to ensure the piercing healed successfully. Picking out the jewelry and the process of making it unique through oxidization was a bit mind-blowing, and very well received. Every kid wants to be unique in their own way. Having had many piercings I took great comfort in the cleanliness and safety measure taken. Little things - like having the entry door locked so Julian can focus on the client, not random walk-ins, was huge. No one wants to be in the middle of a piercing and have someone interrupt! Planning my next piercing when we return to Kauai (2026), so you better be ready Julian!! read more

Updating my review to let Julius know that the Daith piercing got rid of my alcohol induced migraines and almost got rid of my migraines altogether. Used to get several migraines a week always if I drink alcohol. Now I get none from Alcohol and get maybe 2 migraines a month. I have been seeing a neurologist for years and have tried so many options and this beat them all hands down including Botox. Thank you bunches will be back next year for something else fun. read more

I got my navel pierced in college. At some point the original navel ring came apart and I replaced it with one after another cheap one off Amazon. I changed them often and they weren't comfortable. After my latest replacement mistake, I knew I had to do better and called Ganesha. I set up a time to come by and arrived a bit early and they were able to accommodate me. I felt like a VIP being walked through the gorgeous jewelry showroom. I picked a navel ring and was able to customize the metal color. The process was amazing but it's extra special to know I have a one of a kind navel ring. They inserted the navel ring for me and I was ready to go. It was a great experience and I couldn't be happier. Professional quality jewelry makes all the difference. It's so comfortable and pretty! read more

Julian did such an amazing job with helping my mom and I with our piercings. He has such a beautiful jewelry section and is very knowledgeable on his craft. Would recommend him to anyone looking for quality jewelry, safe piercings, and a great laugh. read more

I've been coming to Julian for years. He's a straight shooter with a heart of gold. He won't sugar coat things just to make an extra buck, he's always going to give you facts and help you make the wisest and safest decisions with your piercings which is why I love him. His beautiful gallery is clean and well stocked with both affordable and high end jewelry. It's well worth the money to have a seasoned professional handle your piercings, don't go the cheap route, stay out of the shopping malls and costume jewelry huts. I've made some dumb mistakes, including waiting too long when one of my piercings got buried under the skin, and Julian was there to handle the mess and the unpleasant job of removing it with as much empathy as possible. If you are local, he'll be your piercer on island for life, you wont want to go anywhere else. and if you are visiting, you will be glad you stopped at Ganesha during your travels, you'll have a wearable memory and visible reminder of your visit to the Garden Isle. read more

HIGHLY recommend!! Even with a busy schedule, Julian was very helpful before even getting my industrial. He took the time to consult me through text and answered my questions. The day I wanted to get my piercing done, he was fully booked but was very nice to pull me in for a quick pierce! I was so nervous but hes so knowledgeable & makes you feel at ease by giving some info, offering water & explaining what he'll be doing throughout the process. He throughly explains the aftercare and offered help if i had any questions or concerns about my piercing. Will be definitely going back when its healed for some cool jewelry! read more

Julian is the best! My family was on vacation in Kauai and we promised our daughter she could get her nose pierced. We found Julian via a referral from yelp and also a local on the island spoke very very highly of him. We first went in and picked out her jewelry. He has an incredible selection and his shop is clean. He spent so much time and was so informative and HILARIOUS! He made our daughter feel so comfortable and at ease. He explained and asked her why she wanted the piercing, didn't just want to do it to do it. He truly is a great guy! I got some turquoise jewelry for piercings I already had and he put them in for me. When we went back to get the piercing, I also decided to get a cartilage piercing and so did my daughter. Julian was so good at explaining everything he was going to do and completely put my daughter at ease. I can't speak highly enough of him, if you are on the island of Kauai, Julian is your guy!! Don't think twice, get pierced here! First off, Julian is the greatest. He doesn't rush you, gets to know you and really cares about doing a good job. He spent his time with us and made sure it was a good experience. We were celebrating our wedding and he poured us a glass of wine to celebrate. Immaculate shop. As soon as you enter you know the owner takes his craft seriously. Julian was very kind and gave me a tour of the stations and talked to me about his method and piercing philosophy. As the jewelry or tools were getting sterilized he talked to me about what to expect and how to take care/clean my nose piercing. I asked for his opinion on which side of my nose to place the piercing and he told me which side and why and I'm so happy we chose the right side (because of the way i part my hair and I have some freckles/blemishes on the other side). I was told to lay down and we practiced a breathing exercise and he warned me that he would have to get all up in my face.. because duh he's piercing my nose. And once it was show time he got up in my face and asked me to breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth and bing bang finito! I was pierced! It was a quick and intense pinch, but didn't hurt afterward (I was a little sore tho). Excellent experience and I will come again in my next Kauai trip. read more

Talk about a high end piercing shop! Julian is such an experienced and professional piercer. He only carries the best jewelry and does his best to ensure his clients are comfortable and informed. He pierced both sides of my nose today and was very supportive and encouraging throughout the entire process, wanting to ensure they looked perfect and that I felt as comfortable as possible. He gave me recommendations for which jewelry to choose, and he was on point! Definitely recommend. Might even hear some fun stories if you're lucky. I wouldn't go to anyone else's shop but his on island. Doesn't get better than this read more

So, I got my septum pierced a couple of days ago and I just want to say... that I love it and I loved the experience! Due to the shape of my nose, Julian did everything that he could to accommodate me being able to flip it up for work. It was quite the process, but he made it work! He modified the piercing a little, and instead of using the typical balls, he screwed in flat ends instead... kinda giving it an industrial look, but still super cute and dainty at the same time. I can't wait for my piercing to heal fully so I can interchange the jewelry. This was totally worth it!!! Like for many others, he is definitely my go-to piercer. Check him out, if you haven't already! read more

The best place on Kauai !!! I've never seen a more professional setting. So clean, sanitary and beautifully decorated. I felt very comfortable watching my daughter getting her piercings done. Thank you for the great personal assistance. We are happy customers and will be back read more

Julian assisted me with information over the phone. I believe he spoke with me for :24 minutes after his shop closed even, to inform me about the piercing-world's practices. Because of that, he created trust. I would visit his shop and very likely spend money on his services. He specifically informed me regarding the 'don't-touch-yourself'-policy, which I was not privy to. What this means is that piercing holes (anywhere on your bod, not just down there) and the jewelry in them (any kind), are considered biohazards, categorically. It's nothing personal. If you walk in twisting your earrings, or you take out your earrings, and try to put them on the counter yellow tape will immediately surround those earrings and alarms will sound bc that area needs to now be decontaminated. (I'm obviously exaggerating here, but only kinda). The reason for being so cautious is that there are mean germs in the world and Tatt/Pierce shops are kinda like hospital operating rooms, minus the mega-insurance to cover mishaps. So they choose the route of prevention. And the way to prevent is through immaculate attention to potential dangers, including something as seemingly-benign as your completely-healed earring holes you've had since age 7. I can recommend this company honestly because of the time and gentleness taken to address my query. I'm not even 100% sold on this policy tbh, but the respect given, warrants my respect too. I understand where he's coming from and would absolutely abide by his policies because of that. People don't have to agree absolutely to cooperate. It's a beautiful thing! I've been to many other shops who've treated me with disrespect and condescension. ecause of this, I'm not often a patron. Julian didn't do any of that. Maybe it's the Kaua'i, maybe it's him, but the experience was full of aloha. I would recommend! Thanks, Julian! read more

Cannot recommend Julian enough! He was kind enough to see me without an appointment when I was having trouble loosening my septum clicker, and was able to remove it quickly and painlessly. The studio is spotless and absolutely beautiful, and the selection of high quality jewellery was a very pleasant surprise - I wasn't expecting to come away with a new piece! Yes, the cost is a little higher than 'standard' jewellery but, trust me, you absolutely get what you pay for. If I was planning a new piercing then I wouldn't hesitate to come here. read more

My wife lost her nose ring while on vacation in Kauai. We searched around everywhere for a replacement and were unable to find anyone who sells nose rings except for Ganesha. We decided to swing by to check this place out and when we arrived I was very impressed with how neat and clean this place looks inside. Julian (owner and piercer) was very professional and helpful. He assisted us in finding the exact piece of jewelry that my wife needed for her nose and then he even brought her back and installed it for her. After wearing it for several days she started complaining that it was too tight so we went back and Julian replaced the nose ring with a larger one and reinstalled it on her nose, free of charge. He's a really nice guy, helpful, and knowledgeable. If you need some Body jewelry or a new piercing on the island of Kauai check out Ganesha. Also, ask him where to eat lunch or where to snorkel and he'll give you some good recommendations, also free of charge. Oh and he also has this awesome anodizing machine at his shop, so he can make any piece of jewelry that he sells practically any color that you want. Pretty cool stuff. read more
