I got my navel pierced in college. At some point the original navel ring came apart and I replaced it with one after another cheap one off Amazon. I changed them often and they weren't comfortable. Immaculate shop. As soon as you enter you know the owner takes his craft seriously. Julian was very kind and gave me a tour of the stations and talked to me about his method and piercing philosophy. As the jewelry or tools were getting sterilized he talked to me about what to expect and how to take care/clean my nose piercing. I asked for his opinion on which side of my nose to place the piercing and he told me which side and why and I'm so happy we chose the right side (because of the way i part my hair and I have some freckles/blemishes on the other side). I was told to lay down and we practiced a breathing exercise and he warned me that he would have to get all up in my face.. because duh he's piercing my nose. And once it was show time he got up in my face and asked me to breathe in through my nose and out through my mouth and bing bang finito! I was pierced! It was a quick and intense pinch, but didn't hurt afterward (I was a little sore tho). Excellent experience and I will come again in my next Kauai trip. read more

So, I got my septum pierced a couple of days ago and I just want to say... that I love it and I loved the experience! Due to the shape of my nose, Julian did everything that he could to accommodate me being able to flip it up for work. It was quite the process, but he made it work! He modified the piercing a little, and instead of using the typical balls, he screwed in flat ends instead... kinda giving it an industrial look, but still super cute and dainty at the same time. Julian assisted me with information over the phone. I believe he spoke with me for :24 minutes after his shop closed even, to inform me about the piercing-world's practices. Because of that, he created trust. I would visit his shop and very likely spend money on his services. He specifically informed me regarding the 'don't-touch-yourself'-policy, which I was not privy to. What this means is that piercing holes (anywhere on your bod, not just down there) and the jewelry in them (any kind), are considered biohazards, categorically. It's nothing personal. If you walk in twisting your earrings, or you take out your earrings, and try to put them on the counter yellow tape will immediately surround those earrings and alarms will sound bc that area needs to now be decontaminated. (I'm obviously exaggerating here, but only kinda). The reason for being so cautious is that there are mean germs in the world and Tatt/Pierce shops are kinda like hospital operating rooms, minus the mega-insurance to cover mishaps. So they choose the route of prevention. And the way to prevent is through immaculate attention to potential dangers, including something as seemingly-benign as your completely-healed earring holes you've had since age 7. I can recommend this company honestly because of the time and gentleness taken to address my query. I'm not even 100% sold on this policy tbh, but the respect given, warrants my respect too. I understand where he's coming from and would absolutely abide by his policies because of that. People don't have to agree absolutely to cooperate. It's a beautiful thing! I've been to many other shops who've treated me with disrespect and condescension. ecause of this, I'm not often a patron. Julian didn't do any of that. Cannot recommend Julian enough! He was kind enough to see me without an appointment when I was having trouble loosening my septum clicker, and was able to remove it quickly and painlessly. My wife lost her nose ring while on vacation in Kauai. We searched around everywhere for a replacement and were unable to find anyone who sells nose rings except for Ganesha. We decided to swing by to check this place out and when we arrived I was very impressed with how neat and clean this place looks inside. Julian (owner and piercer) was very professional and helpful. He assisted us in finding the exact piece of jewelry that my wife needed for her nose and then he even brought her back and installed it for her. After wearing it for several days she started complaining that it was too tight so we went back and Julian replaced the nose ring with a larger one and reinstalled it on her nose, free of charge.
