So the hotel staff recommended this place when we asked where was a good place to get lunch. We heading out and thought, it's a truck stop, there should be some decent food... I got teriyaki chicken dish and my buddy got the meat loaf plate. Both looked awesome on the menu but were far from what actually was served. The chicken teriyaki looked like it was one of those meals you nuke that comes in a bag from Walmart. Very tasteless and thank goodness they had soy sauce. The meatloaf had a layer of burnt crust like it was deep fried, it basically looked like a big dog turd on the plate. My buddy soaked it in ketchup after scooping out the meat from inside the crusted shell. The mashed potatoes were pretty good but that's about it. Needless to say, we didn't finish our lunch. Paid the server and headed back to the hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place unless it's the only thing open. read more

I understand that things work differently in a small town but oh no no no. We ordered a grilled pork chop dinner online with garlic bread and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. The pork chop is so tough and flavorless, the potato was plain, and the green beans taste from a can. We had a long day of traveling and thought we were going to have a hot yummmy dinner to enjoy, but we were sorely mistaken. I would definitely say that this is one of the best health wise restaurant that there is near by the the interstate I eighty. Iron skillet is pretty affordable for anyone. They have many varieties of different kinds of food and their salad bar looks amazing. This place has a lot of tables. When I walk in its usually full of people. In my opinion a lot of people has the same opinion as me. When I visit this restaurant, I usually order a New York steak medium well. It also come with salad bar and it is about 20.00 dollars. You can see a picture of a steak below the review. The meat is cooked amazingly and the steak is delicious. If you will ever visit it and you will have a trouble finding it, it is located inside of a Petro truck stop. There is plenty parking. For trucks and cars. No, hi no good morning no nothing just what do you want? Basic breakfast was way overpriced. Want some gravy with that biscuit? That'll be $2.99 extra. I heard a trucker asked if he could get it to go breakfast waitress said no they don't do to go orders because they don't have to go boxes. WTF??? Looking for truck stop restaurant, this is for you. Had eggs and hashbrowns, also had fish and chips. We ordered right away and we served fairly fast. Pretty good! COVID is a real fear of mine, so the buffet looks scary. Corned beef hash and eggs with rye bread for me! French toast for the three others dining with me. It's a restaurant in a truck-stop. I love comfort food and corned beef hash and eggs hit the spot while we are traveling. It's clean and the food is spot on. Service was fast and friendly. Even the other guests were happy to chat it up amongst other diners, talking about road conditions and the best way to get here or there. This place make for a great start to the morning. read more

Stopped in here due to I 80 being closed from bad weather. It's was 2:30 am and thought well I'll get some breakfast. The restaurant was deserted. As u wd expect at 2:30 in the morning. So I sat down and ordered corned beef hash and eggs. Which is my GO TO breakfast. I mean u can't screw that up right? The meal was ok. Not the tastiest corned beef hash. Waitress looked at us and said 'We're full' I wanted to tell her they are not full that she is just too LAZY go do her job. Get off your ass and take care of your customers before you don't have any. Stopped here along our journey for some gas, snacks for the road and breakfast. The waitress was incredibly friendly and patient as I can be picky with my breakfast! I had ordered a skillet and asked for no mushrooms. We had gotten our food to go, and didn't have to wait long to get it. Thankfully I had looked at the meal before we left the parking lot- there were TONS of mushrooms! I went back in, the waitress was incredibly apologetic, she sad she forgot to add it to the order. No biggie, and I honestly appreciated that she was genuine in the whole interaction. I wasn't upset, I was really grateful to have noticed it so I could get it fixed, but it was still nice to feel that she actually meant what she said. The food was good. Kind of what you'd expect I think. A little greasy, had good taste, but wasn't as above and beyond as the service. No regrets about my breakfast, though! read more

Got there right before closing time so I got our food Togo. My chicken fajita burrito and home fries were good but my husbands fries were super old and not edible at all. His burrito was also drenched in grease and made him kind of sick afterwards. I'm not sure why some of these Iron Skillets and Country Pride's are not 24/7 and close at 11:00 p.m., but it is extremely frustrating at times. It's not like us truckers have 9-5 hours and dinner for us is at all hours of the day and night. It is very disappointing to pull in to a Petro at 3 am and the restaurant is closed! We had good food and great service from almost every employee. This would be five stars except for that. We were fighting fire on the Keystone Fire and ate there about 7 times. On one of the occasions a cashier named Angelica, confronted us about some other firefighter that didn't tip. We tipped every time at least %15. So I was pretty upset. Trust me, you're better off w a microwave breakfast sandwich. Now, as a truck driver, I've been to quite a few Iron Skillets & had decent to good experiences. But the breakfast I had here was godawful. First off, the truckstop, restaurant & grumpy waitresses could sure use an overhaul. Dingy & dirty, the whole place. I mistakenly ordered the breakfast buffet w/out giving it a good look (based on prior, pleasant experiences @ other Iron Skillets). The ham was waaaay overcooked & hacked into strange hunks w bone still in. The fake eggs were watery. Overcooked sausages. & the worst, worst bacon I have ever seen. It wasn't swimming in grease, it was submerjed in grease... drowned in it. Literally, the metal tray it was sitting in was full TO THE TOP with grease. Needless to say, the bacon looked very undercooked & noodle-y. I had salad & a biscuit, which were not bad (hence, 1 star). And finally, the world's slowest cashier took about 5-10 mins to ring me up. Bah!! If you are in Laramie looking for breakfast, DO NOT come here. There must be better in Laramie.
