Looked good but can this chef cook a steak? I think not

Seemed like a good choice for Sunday supper. When I go to a steakhouse I expect the best. Dinner for 5 can range from $350 and up. We made reservations earlier in the day. As soon as we arrived we were seated. During drink selection waitress informed us to pick a second choice due to zero inventory on all sorts of drink menu items. She was right. We came for the rockie mountain oysters, low and behold they were out. Major disappointment. Dinner selection same "let me check to see if we have that. We asked for A-1 she said let me see if we have any. She brought out the last bottle. It had maybe an inch of sauce in it(this is a steakhouse) I ordered my ribeye medium well. Came out half raw and the other half medium rare. She asked to take it back. My feeling is if it has to go back to the kitchen I'm dining at the wrong place. I didn't eat another bite. Very sad since I really had high hopes after all we're in cattle country. My advice to you chef is watch a couple YouTube videos or go back to the ranch

Busy place on a Sunday night, we weren't in a hurry and had a wonderful evening. Our server was gracious and efficent even though very busy. I will always prefer a local steakhouse with history and character to a boring chain steakhouse. We loved all the pictures, taxidermy, the rocky mountain oysters & especially the bread pudding.

It was getting to be dinner time while we were driving through Laramie so we looked at local restaurants and noticed Cavalryman Steakhouse was on our route, so we stopped. It is a very large place with a large parking lot. We both decided to try their famous 12 oz Ribeye and I will say it was one of the best steaks I have had in a few years. The Wyoming Soda Bread was also good as were the two salads we had, a Apple, Candied Nut and Goat Cheese Salad and a normal Dinner Salad. The service was good. We would definately stop again if we were around for dinner.

Excellent service and great food. This old west place is keeping up with the times by offering great salads.

Great selection and variety. It feels a little upscale here so doesn't always feel as comfy for a casual lunch with kids. I got a chicken ceasar salad and it was okay, nothing special. We loved the cheese curds and the kids meal options were good. We had a fantastic server, Miko/Mico. So helpful with the kids, was patient and checked in often. Love that. I'll always give them a chance as it's been around in town for decades now.

Maybe the draw here is the drinks, I wouldn't know. We started off with the pepper jack cheese curds, which were actually pretty tasty, but it's hard to mess up cheese curds so not too many kudos there. Our entrees were extremely disappointing. The burger we got was dry, and looked like it had been nuked in a microwave. Frankly, Freddys burgers look more appetizing than the one we received. The sweet potato fries looked freshly unfrozen and sad. I got the crispy Mac and cheese with the brisket option. Brisket was fatty and dry, and the Mac and cheese was such a small portion, the 9 pieces of brisket they gave me made my plate look small. For Mac and cheese, it was alright. I've made better with $12 at home, but the brisket was extremely disappointing for the markup they charged. I almost forgot to mention, there was only about 12-13 people here, with 1/4 of those being individuals sitting at the bar. It took us close to 40 minutes to get our food! Absolute insanity since there was almost nobody here. Better yet, the food arrived lukewarm! Service was fine. Ambience was nice, the actual building itself was nice to sit in, but the food was so sad and overpriced, I'll probably never set foot in here again. I can get better Mac and cheese in the Walmart fresh food section and a better burger at Freddy's 10 minutes down the road.

Online said that it would be ready in 30-35 minutes, so we went to a different part of town to look around. I got the text that the pizza was ready about 15-20 minute early. Even though we were on the other side of town, we were fine with that because surely our pizzas were in a warmer, and drinks in the fridge. They were not. The pizza was lukewarm. When we walked in, they were BLASTING music, but apparently they had closed early and were cleaning, so they weren't expecting anybody. Even though our order was waiting for us? The music volume was definitely off putting, but who doesn't like music when they're cleaning. We walked in and a girl with dirty blonde hair greeted us by saying "uhhh, we're closed??" (Google and yelp AND your online order system show differently). I let her know we had an order to pick up and she asked the name in a similar tone, which genuinely made me stutter because I could not understand why this girl was being so incredibly rude. We were on a road trip, so the facilities were desperately needed, my boyfriend asked if we could use the bathroom, and she looked at him as if he asked if he could kick her puppy. And then sneered and snidely said "no", because obviously that was the most ridiculous question. We ended up having to go to Safeway (that was disgusting, do not recommend). She then slapped down my reciept on the counter for me to sign, heavily set down our drinks next to it, and when I was done signing, she again slammed her hand down on the receipt and yanked it off the counter. We ended up dumping out the mocktails because they looked and tasted disgusting, maybe becasue they were watered down by ice while they waited on the counter for us. Or maybe it was the wilted and brown mint. Those were $6 each. My boyfriend and I were sound boarding off each other for a while asking what we did to deserve such incredibly rude and hostile behavior, the only thing we came up with is that they forgot to close the online ordering system and that's somehow our fault? Or maybe she was just having an incredibly bad day? We wish we had asked if we had done anything wrong to upset her, but we were both too dumbfounded to process what was happening until after we left. The food was bad. We were given multiple inedible burnt pieces of garlic bread with our burrata. Also, the 10" pizza was an oval, not a circle, so you definitely don't get 78.54" of pizza like you would if it was a circle. At best, it was misleading, at worst it was deceitful - keep that in mind while considering prices. Some of the bread was undercooked, and we had stomach aches all night. All for $80. I contacted the restaurant and spoke to the manager, she was very nice and receptive and let me know that they did try to call when our order was ready. She gave me the email of someone that I could speak to about a refund. It's been more than a week and I have not heard back.
