I have been worried about replacing my old one but he assured me that they would do an amazing job, and they gave me a fair price. This morning Rafael, Josh and Arturo showed up, the nicest guys you could ever meet. They checked out the location of the unit and immediately set out to work. I couldn't believe how fast the old one came down and the new one went up. My roof is slanted with solar panels up there, there is a 4ft wide space in between but it requires care when maneuvering around them. Several other men came just to help swap the units and then they were gone. Again really nice young men. There were lots of things concerning the old cooler, I didn't know it wasn't installed many years ago correctly so while we had lots of air in our attic was very cool LOL They made sure it was perfect, I'm so happy with the installation, Rafael, Josh and Arturo are truly professionals but more then that they are a pleasure to have do the work. I mentioned to Chris that something went awry after we tried to secure the cover of the Nest thermostat (it was loose from the wall). The AC had worked before but after doing something with the cover, the AC stopped working. Chris quickly found the problem (a fuse had blown out). Chris was very professional, gave me some ideas on a Honeywell thermostat (we're not BIG fans of the new NEST thermostat), showed me how to read the error codes on our furnace (watch the number of red light flashes and compare it to the brochure left with the furnace). It was easy, peasy, even someone like me who has no HVAC experience could do this. I can't thank Chris enough for his great personality, true professionalism, answered my questions, taught me a few things (learning something new is always good) and even loved on my 2 labs (turns out we both love animals). Unfortunately, the very next day, the air stopped working once more. Red Bear responded quickly again, and a technician named Steven diagnosed the new issue as a blown fuse caused by exposed wiring that had likely come into contact with itself. He explained that the damaged wiring was most likely the result of a rodent chewing away the insulation. Jorge checked the vent from outside the house, explaining what he was seeing as he cleared out whatever he could find. Since that didn't fix the dryer issue, the dryer company sent out a (pretty lazy) service person, who took a brief look and said it was still the vent. Jorge offered to come back and take another look, even going down in the crawl space to disassemble and reassemble the dryer vent to see what else he could find. Nothing. It's actually the dryer that has a wonky sensor--thanks to Jorge's genial hard work, we now know this definitively. Thanks guys.
