Arrived at 8pm with a 10pm listed close time (updated by the business 12wks ago here & on Google) & a 404 error on their webpage Sadly, there was a sign on the door that they closed (found a social media post that they're final date was the end of April). A real shame as it looks like a pretty cool spot. There was a re-opening in July sign taped up, so, hopefully, they'll be back. read more

We've been to Iron Kettle Brewing a couple times and enjoyed our experiences both times! The most recent time we went, I ordered the Master of Potions (Veggie) Pizza. 10 inch thin crust or 10 inch cauliflower crust are the only options/sizes, which is fine with me - defintely had enough pizza to take home for leftovers. My husband ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and really liked it! The Pretzel Bites appetizer is also awesome! I will say the first time we went, I got a small order (8) of boneless Buffalo wings and they were less "boneless wings" and more premade, processed chicken nugget. The sauce was good, though just for the quality of meat I wouldn't order them again. Our bartenders have been knowledgeable and friendly each time, with service always quick and attentive. The atmosphere is cool, we like the vibe and decor of Iron Kettle. We've never been when it's super busy, and always sit at the bar to browse their nice selection of whiskeys. Overall, love Iron Kettle Brewery and will defintely be back! read more

I stopped in at Iron Kettle and ordered a Caesar wrap with a baked potato. My boyfriend and I first came here about a year ago thanks to our Pub Passes, and back then they had an incredible twice-baked potato. Sadly, it's still listed on the menu, but they no longer serve it -- a real shame, because it was far better than the baked potato they have now. We shared a pretzel appetizer, which was tasty, but it could have used more cheese -- I'd definitely recommend requesting extra. I also tried one of their mead drinks, and it was really good! The service wasn't terrible but one server for a Friday night I thought was a little strange. Lots of different seating options from inside, roof and side patio options. Overall, it's a nice restaurant to stop by if you're already in Grain Valley and want to try something different. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back, but it's worth a visit at least once. read more

Cozy brewery with friendly staff. Brian ordered their Oktoberfest beer but they only had 2/3 of a glass so they didn't charge him for it. So cool! Chris ordered the Silent Flight which I really liked. Lol. They do serve food with gluten-free pizza on the menu. read more

They have a very nice beer selection and the brewing rooms are visible from the tables downstairs. You can watch them work with the vats. The beer itself was super tasty and this pizza...was DELICIOUS omg. They have an upstairs option available for seating, but I haven't been up there. There's also a patio available. This is a very cool medieval themed brewery that seems to specialize in meads. They also have a few guest taps on hand if that's not your thing. I had a peach mead that was delicious, then a wheat beer from another brewery. This was our second time being there. The service was great, there was plenty of seating, and the temperature was refreshing on a hot day. Worth a visit for sure! read more

Delicious food. It felt like a local hangout spot, and the service reflected that sentiment. It was quick, but not restaurant speeds. My girlfriend wanted a wrap, but was told the lettuce was out, I'm not sure how common this is. Instead she just had the boneless wings. I went for the pub pass and outside patio seating. Unfortunately, the door to the upper patio was locked. This could be a number of reasons, either it wasn't busy enough, or it could be the whiskey/cigar class which was going on the second floor. Regardless of running out of lettuce and no outside seating, our experience was still met by the food, service and drinks. read more

We decided to head to trivia night at Iron Kettle with a friend of ours. It's really a pretty nice little bar - the atmosphere is rustic and it really fits well with the small-town vibe of Grain Valley. It also has outdoor seating, including rooftop seating which is pretty cool, although I don't think it's often used. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was pretty tasty! My husband and his friend enjoyed their food and beers, but I really would've liked to see a few more healthy options on the menu - and maybe one or two vegetarian options wouldn't hurt either. Trivia was a lot of fun, and we actually ended up winning...so that was awesome! Overall, we were pleased with our experience! We'll definitely be back for another trivia night. read more

A bit of a mixed review. Tried a flight, really wish they had an IPA!!! Wheat and saison were good. Didn't love our food--smoked bone-in wings, boneless wings, pulled pork pizza. Boneless wings had a lot of breading, standard buffalo sauce. No sides. Pizza had too much cheese, minimal meat. Bacon on the grilled cheese and mac was super fatty, under cooked bacon bits. After all the rave reviews, we were disappointed. But!!!! Service was great, really hustling and working hard. And it was karaoke night-super fun vibe, a fun host and crowd. Glad to use our Pub Pass. I've been to Iron Kettle Brewing a few times and had an excellent experience each time. The first time I went there, I ordered the half wrap and half mac and cheese. You need to check out their options for this. It's not just regular mac and cheese or a regular wrap. Each item has multiple ways to be customized, which makes it that much tastier. The drinks are equally good on a regular night, but my favorites were for their pop-up bar. When they had Taylor Swift night, I went, which was fun, and the themed drinks stood out. I have yet to go to their other pop-ups or events, but I imagine they're great, and the other reviews on Google and Yelp indicate that they are as well. read more

The food was ok. Me and my girlfriend got pretzel bites for a starter, and they gave us 6 pretzels. Little bitty pretzels. That cost 9 dollars, additionally there was a huge hair in my dish, pulled pork macaroni. The pork was not cooked well very chewy. And for my girlfriends food she got the spicy bacon grilled cheese. Tasted plain no spice, with ranch chips that taste nothing like ranch. I dont know about the service cause we were the only ones in there probably for a reason. This place sucks!!! read more

First let me tell you about the staff! I walked to the bar and said I was there to try out a new brewery and was looking forward to trying something light. They took great care of me and answered all my questions. I started with the Raspberry Hefeweizen and finished with beer 2 as the Irish ale. I also got the "adult nuggets" aka boneless wings. I order a small and got half Buffalo and half Garlic Parmesan. They were fantastic! I'll definitely go back, for just the staff to start. read more

We were SOO excited this place came to our little town! We went a couple weeks ago and sat at the bar. Super cool vibe and look to the place. The bartender was nice enough, but not attentive and wasn't the most helpful. We wanted to try some beer and some food, so I got a flight of their beer and we ordered some pretzel bites and wings. Based on the food and service alone, I hate to say it but I'd only be doling out about 2 stars. The portions were very small, the cheese dip was cold, and the wings were TINY. However, the saving grace of this place was the beer and the Kilted Brewing Guy who we got to chat with briefly. He was super nice and pleasant to talk with. And that beer!!! In a flight of 5, there are generally at least a couple I don't care for. Not the case here. All 5 were excellent!!!! So to be fair, it's a brewery. The star of the show is definitely the beer. Maybe try someplace else for food, but we'll definitely give them another chance later on. Maybe it was an off day on the food. But absolutely worth going for the beer!! read more

Hubby and I decided to stop in last night to check it out. The plan was to get a drink and appetizer to get a feel for the vibe. The vibe was great, the rehab on the space was fantastic, the interior and exterior was wonderful. The bartender was nice and helpful; offering me 3 different samples of their beer. Without her help I don't think I would've found the one that I liked - the Blonde. I am not really a beer drinker, but the Blonde was quite delicious and hit the spot! The waitress was a little lacking in attentiveness. But that's ok since it's still such a new place. Why I gave 2 stars was all about the food. We ordered the nachos. The nachos came out in a teeny tiny platter with mostly crumbs instead of full chips. The cheese was the wrong kind of cheese and it was instantly hard instead of smooth and creamy like a nacho cheese should be. We were not given appetizer plates or silverware only a large stack of napkins. The nachos were also on a tray covered in aluminum foil... just imagine what would happen when the cheese hardens and you try to to get a chip. Yep, the foil sticks to the cheese. Yuck. This place has tons of potential great beer wonderful vibe the interior and exterior rehab is just fabulous. Although, we weren't there when there was entertainment I bet that would be great too. Pretzel bites came out cold-ish and hard, like they had been sitting there for a while but after the flights of their beer, they were still delicious. Haha. The beers is amazing. Try them all!
