John was so sweet, kind, knowledgeable, and immediately made me feel like my computer was in good hands. He was able to fix it, get me back up and running, and it only cost me around $85! He even told me that based on how well I've taken care of my computer, it could easily have another five years of life in it. I really appreciated that he wasn't trying to convince me that I needed a new computer or sell me something I didn't need. I also couldn't believe this little shop has been here in Riverside off Van Buren since 1996! There's something really special about finding a small local business that has been around that long and still treats people with genuine kindness. Today, I drove to Best Buy in Moreno Valley specifically because the website indicated this was the…read moreonly location with the iPhone 18 Pro available. Before making the drive, I even called Best Buy support to confirm how I should proceed. I was told to simply walk into the store, so I followed their instructions and made the trip expecting a straightforward purchase. The website indicated that I could order the phone online and pick it up within an hour. However, when I arrived, the phone representative was extremely rude and immediately informed me that he was about to leave and was not going to help anyone else. I explained that the website showed the phone was available for pickup within an hour, but he responded that nobody else was there to help me and that he was the only person available. He then walked away, and I could hear him laughing and telling another customer, "I'm leaving, I'm not helping him." The entire experience was unprofessional and completely unacceptable. I called Best Buy support beforehand, followed their instructions to walk into the store, checked the website for availability, and drove all the way to Moreno Valley, only to be dismissed by an employee who showed absolutely no interest in assisting me or offering an alternative solution. I understand that employees have schedules and shifts to finish, but that does not excuse treating customers with disrespect. If a store advertises product availability and corporate support directs customers to visit in person, there should be a reasonable expectation that someone will provide assistance. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is that I did everything correctly as a customer. I verified the information, contacted support, and followed the instructions I was given. Best Buy failed to deliver the service its own website and customer support led me to expect. Management needs to address both the customer service and staffing issues at this location. Customers should not have to waste their time and fuel just to be laughed at and turned away when they are ready to make a purchase. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the Moreno Valley Best Buy to anyone expecting professional, respectful customer service. I mistakenly took it to a computer repair in the mall which was horrendous, they had it for a week and a half and couldn't give me a proper diagnosis besides "it's the motherboard." I contacted Daniel and within a day he had my rig working, as it was a power switch problem and not a motherboard. However, the PSU's fan was bad, Daniel quoted me an extremely reasonable price and was able to fix it in another day. Two days with Daniel completely fixed my rig at a reasonable price, he was extremely helpful and friendly. I just can't believe it took him two days what the other shop couldn't and misdiagnosed in a week and a half. On top of that, Daniel was nice enough to fix the wiring and ensure all the components were properly in place, again, another issue that the other shop messed up on my rig. The guy knows his stuff!
