Went here on a Friday night to listen to the band, I am from out of state and went with family who lives here and are regulars. I ordered a drink and handed a girl my ID and she took a little and looked at it and walked to the computer to scan it. After a little trouble she went to the back office and the owner came out and looked at it through her Identification book. After a few minutes she came back over and said she wouldnt accept it because it didnt match her book. I took out my credit and debt cards with my name on them to show it wasnt a fake id. She then stated she didnt care and that she was the owner and wasn't going to serve me. I then asked her if we could see her book because my license is only a month old it is a newer updated model and my girlfriends was the older model but is still valid and just wanted to see if it matched her book. She got an attitude and said no and said she wasn't going to deal with it and wasn't going to call the cops either for them to check. Im not mad I got denied I understand she didnt serve me because of the ID looked but she could of been more friendly with it. I have been to the same place a year ago when i visited and got served perfectly fine however the place has changed ownership since then. I even went down the road to the trooper barracks and asked the trooper why I would have trouble with an out of state license to confirm it shouldn't be a problem around the state because of plans I have already set and cannot back out of and he validated both of ours. He cannot speak on her behalf but said you should possibly bring another form of Identification if you are a going to be an out of stater visiting bars, especially this place if you even get the chance to show it without the owner shutting you down. We ended up a few minutes down the road to a different bar and got served fine. The owner should handle things better especially when the people you are with are weekly regulars and you dont card them. read more
