Even though they were large, I really miss the smaller, well‑made sandwiches Soho used to have. The ambience has changed too. It no longer has that comfortable, relaxing feel that made Soho Sweets such a pleasant spot for South Holland. Instead, it feels like we traded a cozy neighborhood favorite for a very basic ice cream shop. SoHo Sweets had wonderful ice cream and great sandwiches. This new place was, unfortunately, a letdown.

The outdoor patio area is perfect for relaxing, with tables, chairs, and even a corn hole game for a little fun. As a pescatarian, I was thrilled to find so many options on the menu that fit my diet. The cauliflower tacos and sweet potato fries were amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient in helping me decide what to order. Inside, there is a charming little upstairs area that I am actually thinking about renting out for a Book Club meeting. The space offers free Wi-Fi and plenty of comfortable seating, whether you prefer lounging on a couch, sitting at a table, or relaxing at a barstool. I also appreciated that there is a bathroom on both floors, which is very convenient. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that the stairs to the second level might be a bit challenging for anyone who struggles with stairs. Overall, SoHo Sweets has such a warm and homey atmosphere, great food, and friendly service. It is definitely a place I will be coming back to.

I went into this paczki situation thinking, "Okay, cute, festive, probably good." What I was NOT…read moreprepared for... was emotional damage. Because this Samoa-flavored paczki didn't just meet expectations it absolutely body slammed them. First of all, shoutout to my amazing husband, who casually stopped and brought this home like it was just a normal Thursday and not a life-altering act of love. Sir. You didn't bring me a paczki. You brought me trust issues with every other dessert. Imagine the love child of a Samoa Girl Scout cookie and a cloud. The caramel? Aggressive in the best possible way. The coconut? Perfectly toasted like it knew it had something to prove. The chocolate? Just enough to remind you that life can still surprise you in beautiful ways. And the dough itself? So soft it felt illegal. I took one bite and immediately understood why people line up in the cold for paczki like it's a survival situation. This wasn't a donut. This was an experience. A personality trait. A reminder that I married the right man. 10/10. Would ruin my diet, my dignity, and my emotional stability for another one.

Insider tip: If you love Paczki, the Tinley location carries them year-round, while the main bakery offers them seasonally around Fat Tuesday. I'll definitely be back for the donuts and Paczki!

GREAT EXPERIENCE! DELICIOUS CONCHAS!…read more When my usual bakery changed its hours, I found myself searching for a new spot at 5AM, and I'm so glad I came across Santa Maria Bakery! I took a chance, and it absolutely paid off. The conchas (and other treats) were incredible. Everything was fresh and exactly what I needed for my work event. The service was accommodating, friendly, and efficient, which made what could have been a crazy morning better. This is officially my new go-to bakery. I'm already looking forward to trying more of their pastries and the coffee shop next time. Highly recommend!

It wasn't too big, but there certainly was a variety of items. I grabbed tongs and a tray by the entrance. I ended up getting a Pineapple pastry. It had a slightly hard surface. I also got a Vainilla pastry. That one had a soft surface and scattered colors on it. I was excited to get home and try the items. I almost wanted to slam them down during the drive home, but I ended up being patient and waiting. The Pineapple pastry was pretty good, but I think it would have been better with more filling. The Vainilla pastry was soft and flavorful. I enjoyed it more than the Pineapple pastry. The service was good. The employee checked me out fast. Overall, it was a cool spot to try out. I might go again if I'm in the area. Date of visit: 03-Dec-2024

It's about $2 for bottles of domestics. They have the usual stuff like Miller Lite. As for the food, it made changes to the menu about what is available. It's gotten rid of all the sandwiches, including the Peanut Butter And Jelly Sandwich. That sucks. It's about $2 for a bag of chips. There's not much in the way of food except some cookies and pastries. Cool place to have some beers and get food. It's unique from most delis because this has slots, so it's also a gaming parlor. The food menu is limited because there's no more of typical deli things, such as sandwiches.
