He said he knows the perfect dentist who is his personal dentist, Dr Ward! He shared how wonderful Dr. Ward is! I called his office asking for a new patient appointment and I couldn't believe how soon I was scheduled an appointment! I had 2 known issues to be addressed and Dr. Ward found one more important issue. His practice is all inclusive with everything needed for routine dentistry and orthodontia, including a lab where he made me a new crown!! Yep, you read that correctly! The most amazing thing for me was that he provided so many interventions in 2 visits where my previous dentist would have provided all the same things in 4-5 visits, if not more! I also do not have all the words I need to express my gratitude for every person I had any type of contact with! Everyone was so personable and treated me with great respect! HOWEVER, I will say that this is the first time from start to finish. I changed dentist due to my work and location so this past winter I was looking for a new dentist. I asked a co worker of mine and she recommended this dentist. I did my own research and decided to give it a whirl. The front office staff was great. And my hygienist was knowledgable, talked me through everything and even made a note in my chart about preferences much appreciated. Additionally, they do provide fluoride for their adult patients. This is crucial and I've been getting this ever since I've gone to the dentist. Meeting the dentist was great, she was personable and shared her advice with me about my concerns. She did not force me into any decisions and said it was my choice but she would air on the side of conservative treatment. Overall, it was a great experience and honestly I am not dreading my next appointment.

Me either....but, everything was on time, the…read morehygienist was EXTRA gentle (which I needed), and the dentist was able to make recommendations to correct an error made at a different office. Everything was spotless and I liked the very private room my cleaning and x-rays were done in. I'll be back in a few weeks to get some minor work done and, for probably one of the first times in my life, am not dreading the follow up visit.

When the dentist asked what my daughter did for a living, she told dentist she works at Harrah's as a table-dealer. Dentist said "Whatever makes you happy". Weirdly judgmental statement. I sat in his chair for a procedure, and he told me he could't do the procedure because my teeth need to be cleaned first, and he doesn't have time to do that. He or his staff could've mentioned this when we scheduled the appointment, but they did not. I was disappointed I'd have to make a second trip, but I was easy going about it. "Fair enough. Let's get me scheduled for a cleaning, and then we'll reschedule the procedure no problem." Then, he told me he needs to charge me for the visit when literally all he did was tell me I needed a cleaning. I politely raised the question to the staff as I was checking out. "I'm confused. Is it your policy to charge people when you did no procedure and did no cleaning? I was in the chair for approximately one minute." They explained that it was their policy. I paid the bill and left. A few days later I receive a letter from him in the mail. He asked me not to come back and he called me a liar. I was flabbergasted. I didn't agree with his practice of charging a fee for no work being done, but I was never rude to him or his staff. I will not be going back. You won't have to ask me twice. There are much better options nearby by professional, courteous dentists. Stay away from Walker!

I'm so thankful that I found Dr. Holt and her team. They are super, super nice and incredibly humane - meaning they aren't judgemental and they're upfront with costs. They also give it to you straight, and/or take the time to explain what's going on and answer questions. In my previous experience, I felt like I was just told what was done or what needed to be done and told to come back. But with Dr. Holt and her team, I feel like I was a part of the conversation and had a say in everything - and that's huge when it comes to any kind of medical or dental care.

I've always had weird interactions with the dental hygienists! One time, there were two hygienists/assistants in the room cleaning my teeth & they were talking about their kids/family problems during my cleaning as if I wasn't there. Another time, I had to get update x-rays but the hygienist kept having to retake them because she kept missing the right shot. And this previous time, I asked the hygienist to explain what she was doing & she gave a brief general overview, then discussed all the Christmas presents she bought for her family. She took her hands out of my mouth each time she talked, so I feel like the appointment took longer than normal haha. Everyone has been pretty nice, but I really do just want to know what exactly they are doing to my teeth.

The last episode was when my left sinus grew into the place where my tooth belonged. It was a complicated procedure for her to remedy, but remedy it she did. I literally had no pain during the surgery and little to none for the rest of the day. What impressed me this time was her assurance that she monitors all the details of my visits--even cleaning. She gave me a chorus of words that communicated that to me. I am so thankful for her expertise. If I'd had this problem with another dentist, the tooth would be gone by now. Thank you, Dr. Mundy.

Several issues. 1…read more Insurance was not verified prior to appointment (I'm partly to blame - I've been with the same dentist for 30 years and didn't know proper procedure). The hygienist told me things would be covered, that simply were not. Come to find out the dentistry is not in my network. I now have a bill of $400 for a teeth cleaning and x-rays. No adjustments from them - no negotiations, but they do offer a payment plan. :) 2. They offer a free whitening for new patients. Essentially they put three rounds of gel whitener on your teeth in an hour and half long appointment. It's a stronger strength than what you would get for home but it is not a true whitening treatment. My teeth are no whiter than they were before. VERY disappointing. 3. The building wasn't in good condition and very out dated. The elevator got stuck upon my first arrival. The room I was in for the cleaning had black dust on the AC vent that you look at when laid back in the chair. The ceiling tiles are old and dingy. The floors were dirty as well as the baseboards near the floor. The only reason I went back to the office was for the free cleaning (at that point I hadn't seen the $400 bill). 4. I needed a little bonding on my front tooth, very small area. The pricing was expensive (the dentist I had been going to for 30 years would do it at no costs to build and keep relationships). I ended up asking to just had a small area sanded so we didn't have to keep worrying about the bonding. First thing from the dentist, "that will cost you". No other questions, no other options offered. That was her only comment. 5. It seemed that everyone was trying to sell something. I've already booked my 6 months cleaning at my old dentist. They are wonderful and the ONLY reason I went to a new dentistry was to be closer to home.
